Type-2 Neutrosophic Set and Their Applications in Medical Databases Deadlock Resolution

Electronic patient data gives many advantages,but also new *** may delay procedures like acquiring patient *** deadlock resolution solutions introduce uncertainty due to inaccurate transaction *** computing-based solutions have been developed to solve this *** a single framework,ambiguous,vague,incomplete,and inconsistent transaction attribute information has received minimal *** work presented in this paper employed type-2 neutrosophic logic,an extension of type-1 neutrosophic logic,to handle uncertainty in real-time deadlock-resolving *** proposed method is structured to reflect multiple types of knowledge and relations among transactions’features that include validation factor degree,slackness degree,degree of deadline-missed transaction based on the degree of membership of truthiness,degree ofmembership of indeterminacy,and degree ofmembership of ***,the footprint of uncertainty(FOU)for truth,indeterminacy,and falsity represents the level of uncertainty that exists in the value of a grade of *** employed a distributed real-time transaction processing simulator(DRTTPS)to conduct the simulations and conducted experiments using the benchmark Pima Indians diabetes dataset(PIDD).As the results showed,there is an increase in detection rate and a large drop in rollback rate when this new strategy is *** performance of Type-2 neutrosophicbased resolution is better than the Type-1 neutrosophic-based approach on the execution ratio *** improvement rate has reached 10%to 20%,depending on the number of arrived transactions.

Ballistic design and testing of a composite armour reinforced by CNTs suitable for armoured vehicles

This paper is investigating the use of composite armour reinforced by nanomaterials, for the protection of light armoured(LAV) and medium armoured military vehicles(MAV), and the interaction between the composite materials and high-performance ballistic projectiles. Four armour materials, consisted of front hybrid fibre reinforced polymer cover layer, ceramic strike-face, fibre reinforced polymer intermediate layer and the metal matrix composite reinforced backplate, were manufactured and assembled by adhesive technology. The proposed laminated protection system is suitable for armoured ground vehicles;however, it could be used as armour on ground, air and naval platforms. The design of the protection system, including material selection and thickness, was elaborated depending on the performance requirements of Level 4 + STANAG 4569 military standard(projectile 14.5 mm × 114 mm API B32) and especially on a design philosophy which is analysed with the specifications. The backplate of this new composite is a hybrid material of Metal Matrix Composite(MMC) reinforced with carbon nanotubes(CNTs), manufactured with the use of powder metallurgy technique. The composite backplate material was morphologically, mechanically and chemically analysed. Results show that all plates are presenting high mechanical properties and ballistic characteristics, compared to commonly used armour plates. Real military ballistic tests according to AEP-STANAG 4569 were carried out for the total composite armour systems. After the ballistic tests, AA2024-CNT3 showed the best protection results, compared with the other plates(AA2024-CNT1 and AA2024-CNT2), with the projectile being unable to fully penetrate the composite plate.

Multiphysics simulation of VVER-1200 fuel performance during normal operating conditions

Nuclear fuel performance modeling and simulation are critical tasks for nuclear fuel design optimization and safety analysis under normal and transient *** performance is a complicated phenomenon that involves thermal,mechanical,and irradiation mechanisms and requires special multiphysics *** this study,a fuel performance model was developed using the COMSOL Multiphysics *** modeling was performed for a 2D axis-symmetric geometry of a UO2fuel pellet in the E110 clad for VVER-1200 *** modeling considers all relevant phenomena,including heat generation and conduction,gap heat transfer,elastic strain,mechanical contact,thermal expansion,grain growth,densification,fission gas generation and release,fission product swelling,gap/plenum pressure,and cladding thermal and irradiation *** model was validated using a code-to-code evaluation of the fuel pellet centerline and surface temperatures in the case of constant power,in addition to validation of fission gas release(FGR)*** prediction proved that the model could perform according to previously published VVER nuclear fuel performance parameters.A sensitivity study was also conducted to assess the effects of uncertainty on some of the model *** model was then used to predict the VVER-1200 fuel performance parameters as a function of burnup,including the temperature profiles,gap width,fission gas release,and plenum pressure.A compilation of related material and thermomechanical models was conducted and included in the modeling to allow the user to investigate different material/performance *** the model was developed for normal operating conditions,it can be modified to include off-normal operating conditions.

Modelling of an SBR WWTP to Enhance the Performance under hydraulic Shock Load Using STOAT Software

Modelling is a tool used to simulate the performance of any type of WWTP(wastewater treatment plant)which empowers the user to optimize the response of works by changing influent loads and operational conditions with minimum effort and low ***(sewage treatment operational analysis over time)software is used to simulate the performance of wastewater treatment plants *** this paper,a model was built by STOAT software for the hannoville WWTP allowing to analyze and study the enquiries in a shorter period of time associated with laboratory ***,the model can be used to estimate the response of the system to a diversity of *** hydraulic shock load was tested for the entire WWTP consequently allowing the application of strategies that guarantee a better performance by presenting the analysis for the entire *** the aid of STOAT software,a model was built for the whole plant with daily sewage volume entering the treatment plant in a *** study showed whether the plant can accept a higher flow than that it regularly receives or *** proved to be successful and the plant has the possibility to accept double the hydraulic shock load,meanwhile,the variations of resulting data were acceptable when compared to the Egyptian environmental requirements.

Q-switched fiber laser using carbon platinum saturable absorber on side-polished fiber

A 1550 nm Q-switched fiber laser using a carbon platinum saturable absorber deposited on side-polished fiber（SPF） is proposed and demonstrated. The SPF is approximately 2 mm with a polarization-dependent loss（PDL）of 0.4 dB and an insertion loss of 2.5 dB. A stable Q-switched output spectrum is obtained at 1559.34 nm with a peak power of ~6 mW, a pulse width of 1.02 μs, pulse energy of 5.8 nJ, average output power of 0.76 mW, and a repetition rate of 131.6 khz taken at a pump power of 230.0 mW. A signal-to-noise ratio of 49.62 d B indicates that the Q-switched pulse is highly stable.

To meet the rapidly increasing demand for energy and the dramatic depletion of conventional crude oil,it is imperative to utilize sour *** no coke being produced,oxidative desulfurization(ODS)of naphtha lowers its sulfur content and average molecular *** this article,we outline a method for heavy naphtha non-extractive ODS using a very stable *** technique involves the use of a solid catalyst with oxygen gas as the *** necessitated relatively high mixing intensities;hence a three-phase Oscillatory Baffled Reactor(OBR)was *** catalyst was based on the zeolite ZSM-5,prepared from natural kaolin by a series of delamination and activation steps and impregnated with Fe.A TiO2 nanolayer was applied,using the sol-gel method,to prevent rapid *** reactor performance was evaluated to minimize the sulfur content in the naphtha *** to the protective coating,the sulfur conversion stabilized at 90%.The results of this work establish the use of natural clay-based catalysts in a continuous,three-phase ODS,particularly with regard to proving long-term *** also showed that modest ODS can be achieved using an environmentally friendly oxidant,at mild operating conditions,whilst maintaining stability.

InGaN/GaN laser diode characterization and quantum well number effect

The effect of quantum well number on the quantum efficiency and temperature characteristics of In- GaN/GaN laser diodes （LDs） is determined and investigated. The 3-nm-thick In0.13Ca0.87N wells and two 6-am-thick GaN barriers are selected as an active region for Fabry-Perot （FP） cavity waveguide edge emitting LD. The internal quantum efficiency and internal optical loss coefficient are extracted through the simulation software for single, double, and triple InGaN/GaN quantum wells. The effects of device temperature on the laser threshold current, external differential quantum efficiency （DQE）, and output wavelength are also investigated. The external quantum efficiency and characteristic temperature are improved significantly when the quantum well number is two. It is indicated that the laser structures with many quantum wells will suffer from the inhomogeneity of the carrier density within the quantum well itself which affects the LD performance.

An Adaptive Data-driven Method Based on Fuzzy Logic for Determining Power System Voltage Status

This paper proposes an adaptive method based on fuzzy logic that utilizes data from phasor measurement units(PMUs) to assess and classify generating-side voltage trajectories. The voltage variable and its associated derivatives are used as the input variables of a fuzzy-logic block. In addition, the voltage trajectory is compared with the pre-selected pilot-bus voltage to make a reliable decision about the voltage operational state. Different types of short-term voltage dynamics are considered in the proposed method. The fuzzy membership functions are determined using a systematic method that considers the current situation of the voltage trajectory. Finally, the voltage status is categorized into four classes to determine appropriate remedial actions. The proposed method is validated on a IEEE 73-bus power system in a MATLAB environment.

Magnetic and heat Resistant Poly(imide-ether) Nanocomposites Derived from Methyl Rich 9h-xanthene: Synthesis and Characterization

In this study a new series of magnetic and heat resistant nanocomposites were prepared based on a highly soluble poly（imideether）（PIE） reinforced with two different types of magnetic nanoparticles via a solution intercalation technique. New PIE with good solubility and desired molar mass containing bulky xanthene rings and amide groups in the side chains was synthesized via thermal cyclization of the poly（amic acid） precursor, obtained from the reaction of a new diamine derived from 9h-xanthene and 4,4＇- oxydiphthalic dianhydride （ODPA）. Improved solubility was attributed to the presence of xanthene group and flexible ether linkage in the polyimide backbones that reduce the chain-chain interaction and enhance solubility by penetrating solvent molecules into the polyimide chains. Fe3O4 nanoparticles （MNPs） which synthesized from chemical co-precipitation route were coated with silica （SiO2）, sequentially with （3-aminopropyl）triethoxysilane and poly-melamine-terephthaldehyde （MNPs-PMT）, and then separately dispersed in the poly（amic acid） solutions and thermally imidized to form PIE/Fe3O4 and PIE/MNPs-PMT nanocomposites. The nanostructures and properties of the resultant materials were investigated using FTIR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction （XRD）, field emission scanning electron microscopy （FE-SEM）, transmission electron microscopy （TEM）, vibrating sample magnetometer （VSM）, thermal gravimetric analysis （TGA） and differential scanning calorimetry （DSC）. The properties of the nanocomposites were strongly related to the dispersion and interaction between the nanoparticles and PIE matrix. The thermogravimetric analysis （TGA） results showed that the addition of MNPs-PMT nanoparticles resulted in a substantial increase in the thermal stability of the corresponding PIEN. The temperature at 10% weight loss （T10） was increased from 416℃to 428℃ for PIEN containing 3 wt% MNPs-PMT as compared to neat PIE, as well the char yield enhanced. Composition Dependence of Surface Phonon Polariton Mode in Wurtzite InxGa1-xN （0 ≤ x ≤ 1） Ternary Alloy

We present a theoretical study on the composition dependence of the surface phonon polariton （SPP） mode in wurtzite structure α-InxGa1-xN ternary alloy over the whole composition range. The SPP modes are obtained by the theoretical simulations by means of an anisotropy model. The results reveal that the SPP mode of α-InxGa1-xN semiconductors exhibits one-mode behaviour. From these data, composition dependence of the SPP mode with bowing parameter of-28.9 cm^-1 is theoretically obtained.
