Introduction: In medullobla.toma.pa.ients cra.iospina. irra.ia.ion is a. importa.t element the trea.ment. Our study a.med to eva.ua.e the effect of a.sorbed dose to orga.s a. risk using the hybrid intensity-modula.ed ra.ia.ion thera.y (IMRT) versus three-dimensiona. conforma. ra.iothera.y (3DCRT) for cra.iospina. irra.ia.ion (CSI) in a.era.e risk medullobla.toma.pa.ients. Ma.eria.s a.d Methods: In this study, thirteen medullobla.toma.pa.ients were included. The prescribed tota. dose to the pla.ning ta.get volume (PTV) wa. 23, 40 Gy in 13 fra.tions. Two ra.iothera.y techniques, three dimensiona. conforma. ra.iothera.y (3DCRT) a.d hybrid intensity modula.ed ra.iothera.y (IMRT) were used to trea. these pa.ients. The covera.e of the Ta.get wa. eva.ua.ed using the D mea., D95%, D2%, D98% a.d V95%. Other pa.a.eters were a.so compa.ed such a. Integra. dose (ID), Homogeneity index (HI) a.d doses to the orga.s a. risk (Oa.s). Results: There wa. no significa.t difference in the mea. dose received by the PTV-Bra.n or the dose received by 95% a.d 98% of PTV volume using the two techniques. For PTV-Spine, the percenta.e volume receiving 95% of the tota. dose increa.ed significa.tly in the hybrid IMRT technique compa.ed to the conforma. technique. So, hybrid IMRT pla. a.hieved the best covera.e for PTV spine. Lower dose for Oa. wa. delivered by 3DCRT, except the hea.t a.d thyroid, hybrid IMRT a.hieved better spa.ing. a.l pla.s resulted in the sa.e dose homogeneity index (DHI) for PTV-Bra.n. For PTV-Spine, hybrid IMRT technique a.hieved better dose homogeneity compa.ed to 3DCRT technique (1.09 vs. 1.12;p > 0.05). Conclusions: hybrid IMRT technique ca. be rea.ized on conforma. technique beca.se it a.hieved better dose covera.e for the (PTV) a.d orga. a. risk (Oa.). 3DCRT reduced mea. dose to most Oa.S, except the hea.t a.d thyroid. Therefore, the hybrid IMRT technique ma. be a.CSI trea.ment a.terna.ive to 3DCRT.

Multiple a.cess (NOMa.. a.a.tive Modula.ion ma.es use of the user’s loca.ion from his ba.e sta.ion, such tha., closer users get bigger constella.ion size a.d hence higher da.a.ra.e. a.simila. idea.of a.a.tive modula.ion tha. ma.es use of the user’s loca.ions is the NOMa.technique. Here the ba.e sta.ion tra.smits composite signa.s ea.h for a.different user a. a.different dista.ce from the ba.e sta.ion. The tra.smitted signa. is formed by summing different user’s constella.ions with different weights. The closer the users the less a.era.e power constella.ion is used. This will a.low the closer user to the ba.e sta.ion to distinguish his constella.ion a.d others constella.ion. The fa. user will only distinguish his constella.ion a.d other user’s da.a.will a.pea. a. a.sma.l interference a.ded to his signa.. In this pa.er, it is shown tha. the a.a.tive modula.ion a.d the NOMa.a.e specia. ca.es of the more genera. Cluster Modula.ion technique. Therefore, a.genera. fra.e ca. be set to design both modula.ion schemes a.d better understa.ding is a.hieved. This lea.s to designing a.multi-level NOMa.a.d/or flexible a.a.tive modula.ion with combined cha.nel coding.
