This work reports the effect of octavinyl polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane(OvPOSS)on tuning the electrical performance of polypropylene(PP).OvPOSS with different content are introduced into PP using the solution *** microstructural morphology,crystallinity behaviour,breakdown strength,DC conductivity,space charge formation,and trapping level distribution are *** results indicate that the OvPOSS nanofiller can be dispersed uniformly with a doping content of 2.0 phr or *** DC conductivity is decreased,and the breakdown strength of OvPOSS/PP nano-composites is significantly *** space charge accumulation of the OvPOSS/PP nanocomposites is significantly suppressed due to the introduction of deeper traps by the OvPOSS ***,the experimental results demonstrate that the OvPOSS nanofiller can greatly increase the electrical performance of the base PP and the OvPOSS/PP nanocomposites have much potential for HVDC *** further demonstrate that the PP is environmental‐friendly due to its thermo‐plastic property,which can be recycled after the manufacture.

We demonstrate that there is significant skill in the GloSea5 operational seasonal forecasting system for predicting June mean rainfall in the middle/lower Yangtze River basin up to four months in *** of the rainfall in this region during June is contributed by the mei-yu rain *** find that similar skill exists for predicting the East Asian summer monsoon index(EASMI)on monthly time scales,and that the latter could be used as a proxy to predict the regional ***,there appears to be little to be gained from using the predicted EASMI as a proxy for regional rainfall on monthly time scales compared with predicting the rainfall *** interannual variability of the June mean rainfall is affected by synoptic and intraseasonal variations,which may be inherently unpredictable on the seasonal forecasting time scale,the major influence of equatorial Pacific sea surface temperatures from the preceding winter on the June mean rainfall is captured by the model through their influence on the western North Pacific subtropical *** ability to predict the June mean rainfall in the middle and lower Yangtze River basin at a lead time of up to 4 months suggests the potential for providing early information to contingency planners on the availability of water during the summer season.

Although the general concept of nanotechnology relies on exploitation of size-dependent properties of nanoscaled materials,the relation between the size/morphology of nanoparticles with their biological activity remains not well ***,we aimed at investigating the biological activity of Se nanoparticles,one of the most promising candidates of nanomaterials for biomedicine,possessing the same crystal structure,but differing in morphology(nanorods *** particles)and aspect ratios(AR,11.5 vs.22.3 vs.1.0)in human cells and BALB/c ***,we report that in case of nanorod-shaped Se nanomaterials,AR is a critical factor describing their cytotoxicity and ***,spherical nanoparticles(AR 1.0)do not fit this statement and exhibit markedly higher cytotoxicity than lower-AR Se *** of cytotoxicity,we also show that morphology and size substantially affect the uptake and intracellular fate of Se *** line with in vitro data,in vivo *** of Se nanomaterials revealed the highest toxicity for higher-AR nanorods followed by spherical nanoparticles and lower-AR ***,we revealed that Se nanomaterials are able to alter intracellular redox homeostasis,and affect the acidic intracellular vesicles and cytoskeletal architecture in a size-and morphology-dependent *** the tested nanoparticles were produced from the similar sources,their behavior differs markedly,since each type is promising for several various application scenarios,and the presented testing protocol could serve as a concept standardizing the biological relevance of the size and morphology of the various types of nanomaterials and nanoparticles.

Here we review how evolving species concepts have been applied to understand yeast ***,a phenotypic species concept was utilized taking into consideration morphological aspects of colonies and cells,and growth *** the biological species concept was added,which applied data from mating *** measurements of DNA similarity between isolates were an early measure that became more broadly applied with the advent of sequencing technology,leading to a sequence-based species concept using comparisons of parts of the ribosomal *** present phylogenetic species concepts that employ sequence data of rDNA and other genes are universally applied in fungal taxonomy,including yeasts,because various studies revealed a relatively good correlation between the biological species concept and sequence *** application of genome information is becoming increasingly common,and we strongly recommend the use of complete,rather than draft genomes to improve our understanding of species and their genome and genetic *** genomes allow in-depth comparisons on the evolvability of genomes and,consequently,of the species to which they *** seems a relatively common phenomenon and has been observed in all major fungal lineages that contain *** that hybrids may greatly differ in their post-hybridization *** in-depth studies,initially using some model species or complexes may shift the traditional species concept as isolated clusters of genetically compatible isolates to a cohesive speciation network in which such clusters are interconnected by genetic processes,such as hybridization.

2000年8月《自然》杂志第406期发表的《在品种多样性视野下的水稻间作》一文纯脆是自然科学家与农学家对品种多样性水稻间作的研究论文,是当代西方学者对传统农业种植方式的另一个前沿看法。英国学者乌尔夫(Wolfe)教授把多品种水稻分行间作抵制病虫害视为一个新发现的创新特例,是对长期传统单一品种种植技术的创新。这种看法是自然科学家缺少从民族文化的角度看待复合种植模式而形成的习惯性偏见。总之,重新认识朱有勇和乌尔夫的研究成果不应停留于单纯的技术层面,而应当进而关注技术与社会的相互兼容国埃尔姆有机农业研究中心,科学知识与民族文化的兼容。只有这样,有成效的生态文明建设和可永续发展才会成为中国不久未来的现实。

喷出到地表含金刚石金伯利岩和其它碱生岩浆,形成于承载着大陆的岩石圈下很深的地幔中。它们途运到地表夹带一些如金刚石、橄榄岩捕虏体等来自岩石圈的高压矿物。那些富含挥发分和痕量元素的岩浆通过岩石圈的管道时,在管道周围的岩石就能与地幔物质发生交代作用。经由硅酸盐熔融状态(其中溶解的,氧化物多于挥发物)或流体(其中挥发物多于溶解氧化物)的相互交代作用,已积累了不可否认的岩类学和化学证据。在《Nature》vol. 335,784页由Navon等人所报导的扎伊尔、博茨瓦纳金刚石中发现高钾。
