Adipose browning has demonstrated therapeutic potentials in several ***,by conducting transcriptomic profiling at the single-cell and single-nucleus resolution,we reconstituted the cellular atlas in mouse inguinal subcutaneous white adipose tissue(iWAT)at thermoneutrality or chronic cold *** major nonimmune cells within the iWAT,including adipose stem and progenitor cells(ASPCs),mature adipocytes,endothelial cells,Schwann cells,and smooth muscle cells,were recovered,allowing us to uncover an overall and detailed blueprint for transcriptomes and intercellular cross-talks and the dynamics during white adipose tissue brown *** findings also unravel the existence of subpopulations in mature adipocytes,ASPCs,and endothelial cells,as well as new insights on their interconversion and reprogramming in response to *** adipocyte subpopulation competent of major histocompatibility complex class Ⅱ(MHCⅡ)antigen presentation is ***,a subcluster of ASPC with CD74 expression was identified as the precursor of this MHCⅡ^(+)*** adipocytes are transdifferented from preexisting lipid generating adipocytes,which exhibit developmental trajectory from de novo differentiation of amphiregulin cells(Aregs).Two distinct immune-like endothelial subpopulations are present in iWAT and are responsive to *** data reveal fundamental changes during cold-evoked adipose browning.

Anthropogenic activities have contributed to pollution of water bodies through deposition of diverse pollutants amongst which are heavy metals. These pollutants, which at times are above the maximum concentration levels recommended, are detrimental to the quality of the water, soil and crops (plant) with subsequent human health risks. The objective of the work was to evaluate the impacts of human-based activities on the heavy metal properties of surface water with focus on the Kumba River basin. Field observations, interviews, field measurements and laboratory analyses of different water samples enabled us to collect the different data. The results show four main human-based activities within the river basin (agriculture, livestock production, domestic waste disposal and carwash activities) that pollute surface water. Approximately 20.61 tons of nitrogen and phosphorus from agricultural activities, 156.48 tons of animal wastes, 2517.5 tons of domestic wastes and 1.52 tons of detergent from carwash activities were deposited into the river each year. A highly significant difference at 1% was observed between the upstream and downstream heavy metal loads in four of the five heavy metals tested except for copper that was not significant. Lead concentrations were highest in all the activities with an average of 2.4 mg∙L−1 representing 57.81%, followed by zinc with 1.596 mg∙L−1 (38.45%) and manganese with 0.155 mg∙L−1 (3.74%) for the different anthropogenic activities thus indicating that these activities highly lead to pollution of the Kumba River water. Wind energy development in Central Asia can help alleviate drought and fragile ***,current studies mainly used the global climate models(GCMs)to project wind speed and *** simulated biases in GCMs remain prominent,which induce a large uncertainty in the projected *** reduce the uncertainties of projected near-surface wind speed(NSW)and better serve the wind energy development in Central Asia,the Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF)model with bias-corrected GCMs was *** with the outputs of GCMs,dynamical downscaling acquired using the WRF model can better capture the high-and low-value centres of NSWS,especially those of Central Asia's ***,the simulated NSWS bias was also *** future changes in wind speed and wind energy,under the Representative Concentration Pathway 4.5(RCP4.5)scenario,NSWS during 2031-2050 is projected to decrease compared with that in *** magnitude of NSwS reduction during 2031-2050 willreach 0.1 m s^(-1).and the maximum reduction is projected to occur over the central and western regions(>0.2 m s^(-1)).Furthermore,future wind power density(WPD)can reveal nonstationarity and strong volatility,although a downward trend is expected during *** addition,the higher frequency of wind speeds at the turbine hub height exceeding 3.0 m s^(-1)can render the plain regions more suitable for wind energy development than the mountains from 2031 to *** study can serve as a guide in gaining insights into future changes in wind energy across Central Asia and provide a scientific basis for decision makers in the formulation of policies for addressing climate change.
