比较研究了IngaAs/gaAs量子链和量子点的稳态和瞬态光学特性.实验发现,量子链的荧光寿命有很强的探测能量依赖关系,而量子点的荧光寿命随能量变化较小;量子链的荧光寿命随着激发功率迅速增加,高功率时趋于饱和,而量子点的荧光寿命随激发功率变化缓慢;此外,量子链样品的荧光上升时间也比量子点的小得多.这些结果清楚表明,在量子链结构中,参与发光的载流子之间存在很强的耦合和输运.进一步分析表明,这种耦合作用主要发生在量子链方向.荧光的偏振特性进一步证实了这一点.

Canine adipose derived stem cells (ASCs) hold a great promise for the therapy of osteoarthritis in veterinary medicine. Current therapy is an autologous, stromal vascular fraction. Allogeneic ASCs provide many advantages, including efficient, cost-effective treatments while eliminating a surgical procedure in a diseased animal. Cultured ASCs can be expanded and characterized, allowing selection of desirable qualities. Use of allogeneic ASCs requires selection of a culture medium that provides consistent, desirable cellular products. The supplements within a medium can greatly influence cellular phenotypes. We hypothesized that medium type influenced cellular phenotype, allowing selection of a specified cellular product for clinical applications. We evaluated ASCs derived from adipose tissue of six dogs, assessing mRNA expression of proinflammatory: interleukin-1b, cyclooxygenase-2, and anti-inflammatory mediators: tissue inhibitor metalloproteinase-2 and interleukin -1 receptor antagonist, via quantitative RT-PCR prior to, and following culture in five cell culture media: basic cell growth medium (Bgm), Keratinocyte N acetyl-L-cysteine supplemented (KNAC) medium, multipotent Adult Progenitor Cell (mAPC) medium, serum free medium (SFm) and xeno-free medium. major histocompatability complex I (mHCI), major histocompatability complex II (mHCII), CD44 and CD90 immunophenotypes were assessed via flow cytometry analysis. Tri-lineage differentiation (bone, adipose and cartilage tissue) was utilized to verify multipotency. SFm and xeno-free culture conditions did not produce cell expansion sufficient to assess phenotype. ASCs prior to culture had wide variability in all mediator levels, while culturing in the remaining conditions resulted in more predictable expression levels of inflammatory mediators, with a decrease in all levels. An experiment arranged in a randomized complete block design with three replications was conducted on a Lexington soil (fine-silty,mixed,active,thermic,Ultic Hapludalfs) and a Loring soil (fine-silty,mixed,active,thermic,Oxyaquic Fragiudalfs) in mississippi from September 1997 to September 2000 on 18 runoff plots under natural rainfall condition to study the phosphorus (P) dynamics in poultry litter amended soils under three management systems combining tillage and planting date treatments to identify effective management practices in southern *** management systems in the study were:1) tillage in the fall prior to litter application followed by a delayed planting of fall forages (CT-DP);2) tillage followed by immediate planting of the fall forage with subsequent litter application (CT-IP);and 3) no-till with planting prior to litter application (NT-IP).The results indicated that there was significant increase in soil P after 3 years of poultry litter application for both Lexington and Loring soils (P get analysis,the majority of P from poultry litter application (> 90%),was accumulated in both *** Loring soil,soluble P mass in the runoff was significantly higher from NT-IP than from CT-DP and CT-IP over the entire study period (P gnificant differences in sediment P mass between management *** Loring soil,CT-DP and CT-IP were effective management practices to mitigate negative effects due to poultry litter application.

Efficient data visualization techniques are critical for many scientific applications. Centroidal Voronoi tessellation(CVT) based algorithms offer a convenient vehicle for performing image analysis,segmentation and compression while allowing to optimize retained image quality with respect to a given *** experimental science with data counts following Poisson distributions,several CVT-based data tessellation algorithms have been recently *** they surpass their predecessors in robustness and quality of reconstructed data,time consumption remains to be an issue due to heavy utilization of the slowly converging Lloyd *** paper discusses one possible approach to accelerating data visualization *** relies on a multidimensional generalization of the optimization based multilevel algorithm for the numerical computation of the CVTs introduced in[1],where a rigorous proof of its uniform convergence has been presented in 1-dimensional *** multidimensional implementation employs barycentric coordinate based interpolation and maximal independent set coarsening *** is shown that when coupled with bin accretion algorithm accounting for the discrete nature of the data,the algorithm outperforms Lloyd-based schemes and preserves uniform convergence with respect to the problem *** numerical demonstrations provided are limited to spectroscopy data analysis,the method has a context-independent setup and can potentially deliver significant speedup to other scientific and engineering applications.

Nowadays kaolin raw material is usually used to produce nano-kaolin for geopolymer enhancement by using firing *** the present study,kaolin used was taken from the Naqus Formation(Cambro-Ordovician age),west of gabal El gunna,Sinai,***-kaolin material is an ultrafine material and was prepared from the taken kaolin by the firing process at 800 for 2℃h with a heating rate of 5/*** mixes were prepared and their laboratory specimens were made℃and cured up to 90 *** cooled slag was used as starting material,and sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate were used in the study as activators for the used *** formed geopolymer mixes with different ratios(1%,1.5%,3%,5%,and 7%)of nano-kaolin as a partial replacement for the raw kaolin were *** Ace super plasticizer was added in the ratio of 4%from the dry weight to ensure good dispersing of the used nano *** showed that increasing the percentage of nano-kaolin up to 3%results in an enhancement in the mechanical properties as compared with the control mix up to 90 days of curing,while higher ratios are not preferable where they lead to agglomeration of the added nano materials and matrix dilution.

Arthropod communities and epiphytic plants associated with tree canopies have been widely studied and have revealed a great diversity of organisms; however,the community hosted by parasitic plants,such as dwarf mistletoes,remains poorly *** the coniferous forests of North America,dwarf mistletoe infection（Arceuthobium spp.） significantly damages the health of the forest,causing large financial losses for the forest industry,but it also positively affects diversity,especially of mammals and *** study examined the attributes of the arthropod communities associated with two species of dwarf mistletoe [Arceuthobium globosum Hawksw.＆ Wiens and ***（Humb.＆ *** Willd.） ***] and their host Pinus hartwegii *** 2010,in five sites located in Zoquiapan（Central mexico）,we collected plant tissue from the three species *** were separated from the plant tissue and identified to the finest level *** collected 32,059 individuals,for which51 morphospecies were identified,belonging to 15 taxonomic orders; the most abundant orders for the three plants were Prostigmata,Thysanoptera and *** community associated with *** had the highest value of diversity（H＇= 1.47; ***,H＇= 0.64; ***,H＇= 0.68） and species richness（S = 40; ***,S = 30; ***,S = 35）; while abundance was significantly higher for the mistletoes（***,n = 407 individuals/sample; ***,n = 536 individuals/sample; ***,n = 134 individuals/sample）.Species richness,abundance and diversity were significantly different for the three studied plants,as well for sampling month and the interaction of these two factors（except for diversity）.The results suggest that the canopy of *** is an important element in the ecosystem,providing a mosaic of resources and conditions to the associated *** also propose that mistletoes are key species within the forest canopy,as they greatly influence the establishment of d
