High-saturated fat(HF)or high-fructose(HFr)consumption in children predispose them to metabolic syndrome(MetS).In rodent models of MetS,diets containing individually HF or HFr lead to a variable degree of ***,simultaneous intake of HF plus HFr have synergistic effects,worsening MetS *** children,the effects of HF or HFr intake usually have been addressed ***,we have reviewed the outcomes of HF or HFr diets in children,and we compare them with the effects reported in *** humans,HFr intake causes increased lipogenesis,hypertriglyceridemia,obesity and insulin *** the other hand,HF diets promote low grade-inflammation,obesity,insulin *** the deleterious effects of simultaneous HF plus HFr intake on MetS development in rodents,there is little information about the combined effects of HF plus HFr intake in *** aim of this review is to warn about this issue,as individually addressing the effects produced by HF or HFr may underestimate the severity of the outcomes of Western diet intake in the pediatric *** consider that this is an alarming issue that needs to be assessed,as the simultaneous intake of HF plus HFr is common on fast food menus.

Predicting depression intensity from microblogs and social media posts has numerous benefits and applications,including predicting early psychological disorders and stress in individuals or the general public.A major challenge in predicting depression using social media posts is that the existing studies do not focus on predicting the intensity of depression in social media texts but rather only perform the binary classification of depression and moreover noisy data makes it difficult to predict the true depression in the social media *** study intends to begin by collecting relevant Tweets and generating a corpus of 210000 public tweets using Twitter public application programming interfaces(APIs).A strategy is devised to filter out only depression-related tweets by creating a list of relevant hashtags to reduce noise in the ***,an algorithm is developed to annotate the data into three depression classes:‘Mild,’‘Moderate,’and‘Severe,’based on International Classification of Diseases-10(ICD-10)depression diagnostic *** baseline classifiers are applied to the annotated dataset to get a preliminary idea of classification performance on the *** FastText-based model is applied and fine-tuned with different preprocessing techniques and hyperparameter tuning to produce the tuned model,which significantly increases the depression classification performance to an 84%F1 score and 90%accuracy compared to ***,a FastText-based weighted soft voting ensemble(WSVE)is proposed to boost the model’s performance by combining several other classifiers and assigning weights to individual models according to their individual *** proposed WSVE outperformed all baselines as well as FastText alone,with an F1 of 89%,5%higher than FastText alone,and an accuracy of 93%,3%higher than FastText *** proposed model better captures the contextual features of the relatively small sample class and aids in the detection of

As part of efforts to restore fishery resources and recover damaged coastal ecosystems,artificial reefs are often anchored on the seafloor in coastal zones,to provide new habitats for marine *** aim of the study was to describe the structure of a community of benthic invertebrates colonising a niche-type artificial reef(AATn in Spanish).nine structures were anchored at depths of 16±1.5 m for 99 weeks(22 months)in the Area of Benthic Resource Management and Exploitation(AMERB)in coastal waters of the Region of Bio Bio,*** results showed that,at 3 months from submersion of the nTAR,much of the artificial substrate remained bare and there were only low levels of specimens of Balanus ***,showing mean coverage of 11.26%,and even lower proportions of Rhodophyta,with mean coverage of 0.34%.At 6 months,the presence of hydrozoans was seen,decreasing the coverage of the barnacles,which was aided further at 8 months with the arrival of barnacle predatory *** 8 months,new benthic invertebrates appeared and competed for the *** included sponges and *** 99 weeks,the hydrozoans dominated the substrate,followed by barnacles and Rhodophyta,the first colonising organisms,leading to colonisation by motile macro-invertebrates,mainly consisting of crustaceans,echinoderms and *** AATn artificial system provides an ideal substrate for the development of early ecological succession and the use of this technology should be feasible in the recovery process of habitat damaged by anthropogenic actions and climate change.

Agave durangensis propagates basically by seeds. This species is economically important because it supports a mescal industry in Durango, Mexico. At present, its exploitation is overall by collecting plants from the wild populations. In order to reduce the negative impact of the collection in the natural populations of A. durangensis and to improve the mescal industry, it is necessary to establish plantations with selected seeds for a high vigor. In this paper, the variation in morphological features, physiological behavior of germination, and biochemical indicators of seed vigor among three natural populations of A. durangensis was assessed. Variation was found in the seed weight (0.68 to 1.15 mg/seed), seed dimensions (3.51 × 5.29 to 4.62 × 5.92 mm), germinability reduction at 15°°C related to 25°C (4% to 51%), germination rate at 25°C (44.0 to 48.5 seeds/day) and at 15°C (5.17 to 6.77 seeds/day), development reduction at 15°C related to 25°C (86.66% to 91.99%), levels of seed accumulated phenols (71 to 85 μg/seed), antioxidant potential (42% to 50% reduction of DPPH*), seed alcohol dehydrogenase activity (ADH) (180 to 1100 μmol nAD+/mg protein/min), highest ADH activity after imbibitions at 25°C (310.24 to 520.2 μmol nAD+/mg protein/min), and highest ADH activity after imbibitions at 15°C (170.74 to 440.71 μmol nAD+/mg protein/min). The variation in the seed vigor was revealed by a principal component analysis (PCA) based on all the parameters evaluated. PCA clearly discriminated among the three populations.

Disulfiram and calcium carbimide are two alcohol deterrants widely used in alcoholism treatment, however, there exist great concerns over their safety. Reports on hepatotoxicity, mainly related to disulfiram therapy, have been published. The hepatotoxic potential of calcium carbimide is less well characterized. Here, we describe four cases of liver damage related to this therapeutic group that were submitted to a Registry of hepatotoxicity and point out the limitations that we face when prescribing these compounds. A reassessment of the role of these compounds in the management of alcohol dependence is clearly needed.

Background: The aim of this study was to determine how maternal undernutrition during pregnancy and offspring birth-weight can affect the postnatal development of offspring under farm conditions, which may lead to consequences in its meat and carcass quality. The current study involved a total of 80 litters from Iberian sows fed a diet fulfilling daily requirements(n = 47; control) or providing 70% daily requirements(n = 33; underfed) from d 38 to d 90 of gestation when fetal tissue development begins. After birth, piglets born live were classified as low birthweight(LBW; nd normal birth-weight(nBW; ≥1 kg). During the growing phase, 240 control and 230 underfed pigs(50% males and females) distributed by BW category and sex were studied until the ***: At birth and weaning, there were significant differences in all morphological measures and weight between nBW and LBW piglets as expected(P nal feed restriction. During the growing phase, nBW pigs continued with higher weight than LBW pigs on all the days of evaluation(P n though control-LBW-females and LBW-males showed a catch-up growth. Background::The burden of human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)infection in people who use drugs(PWUD)is *** aimed to screen HIV infection among PWUD and describe their retention in HIV ***,we also screen for hepatitis C virus(HCV)infection among HIV-seropositive PWUD and describe their linkage to ***::We conducted a prospective study in 529 PWUD who visited the"Ca?ada Real Galiana"(Madrid,Spain).The study period was from June 1,2017,to May 31,*** diagnosis was performed with a rapid antibody screening test at the point-of-care(POC)and HCV diagnosis with immunoassay and PCR tests on dried blood spot(DBS)in a central *** PWUD were referred to the *** used the Chi-square or Fisher’s exact tests,as appropriate,to compare rates between ***::Thirty-five(6.6%)participants were positive HIV antibodies,but 34 reported previous HIV diagnoses,and 27(76%)had prior antiretroviral *** patients with a positive HIV antibody test,we also found a higher prevalence of homeless(Pnd injection drug use(PWID)(Pnd more decades of drug use(P=0.002).All participants received HIV test results at the *** the 35 HIV positives,28(80%)were retained in HIV medical care at the end of the HIV screening study(2018),and only 22(62.9%)at the end of ***,12/35(34.3%)were positive for the HCV RnA *** the latter,10/12(83.3%)were contacted to deliver the HCV results test(delivery time of 19 days),5/12(41.7%)had an appointment and were attended at the hospital and started HCV therapy,and only 4/12(33.3%)cleared ***::We found almost no new HIV-infected PWUD,but their cascade of HIV care was low and remains a challenge in this population at *** high frequency of active hepatitis C in HIV-infected PWUD reflects the need for HCV screening and reinforcing the link to care.
