Seismic design of RC structures requires estima.ion of structural member behavioral measures as functions of design parameters. In this study, the relations among cyclic behavioral measures and design parameters have been investigated for rectangular RC shear walls using numerical simulations calibrated based on the published laboratory tests. The OpenSEES numerical simulations modeling of plastic hinge hysteretic behavior of RC shear walls and estima.ion of empirical relations among wall hysteretic indices and design parameters are presented. The principal design parameters considered were wall dimensions, axial force, reinforcement ratios, and end-element design parameters. The estima.ed hysteretic response measures are wall effective stiffness, yield and ultima.e curvatures, plastic moment capacity, yield and ultima.e displacements, flexural shear capacity, and dissipated energy. Using results of numerous analyses, the empirical relations among wall cyclic behavioral measures and design parameters are developed and their accuracy is investigated.

n6-methyladenosine(m^(6)A), the most prevalent and conserved RnA modification in eukaryotic cells, profoundly influences virtually all aspects of mRnA metabolism. mRnA plays crucial roles in neural stem cell genesis and neural regeneration, where it is highly concentrated and actively involved in these processes. Changes in m^(6)A modification levels and the expression levels of related enzyma.ic proteins can lead to neurological dysfunction and contribute to the development of neurological diseases. Furthermore, the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells, as well as nerve regeneration, are intima.ely linked to memory function and neurodegenerative diseases. This paper presents a comprehensive review of the roles of m^(6)A in neural stem cell proliferation, differentiation, and self-renewal, as well as its implications in memory and neurodegenerative diseases. m^(6)A has demonstrated divergent effects on the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells. These observed contradictions ma. arise from the time-specific nature of m^(6)A and its differential impact on neural stem cells across various stages of development. Similarly, the diverse effects of m^(6)A on distinct types of memory could be attributed to the involvement of specific brain regions in memory forma.ion and recall. Inconsistencies in m^(6)A levels across different models of neurodegenerative disease, particularly Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease, suggest that these disparities are linked to variations in the affected brain regions. notably, the opposing changes in m^(6)A levels observed in Parkinson's disease models exposed to ma.ganese compared to norma. Parkinson's disease models further underscore the complexity of m^(6)A's role in neurodegenerative processes. The roles of m^(6)A in neural stem cell proliferation, differentiation, and self-renewal, and its implications in memory and neurodegenerative diseases, appear contradictory. The organotypic retinal explant culture has been established for more than a decade and offers a range of unique advantages compared with in vivo experiments and cell ***,the lack of systema.ic and continuous comparison between in vivo retinal development and the organotypic retinal explant culture ma.es this model controversial in postnatal retinal development ***,we aimed to verify the feasibility of using this model for postnatal retinal development studies by comparing it with the in vivo *** this study,we showed that postnatal retinal explants undergo norma. development,and exhibit a consistent structure and timeline with retinas in ***,we used SOX2 and PAX6 immunostaining to identify retinal progenitor *** then examined cell proliferation and migration by immunostaining with Ki-67 and doublecortin,***-67-and doublecortin-positive cells decreased in both in vivo and explants during postnatal retinogenesis,and exhibited a high degree of similarity in abundance and distribution between ***,we used Ceh-10 homeodoma.n-containing homolog,glutama.e-ammonia ligase(glutamine synthetase),neuronal nuclei,and ionized calcium-binding adapter molecule 1 immunostaining to examine the emergence of bipolar cells,Müller glia,ma.ure neurons,and microglia,*** timing and spatial patterns of the emergence of these cell types were rema.kably consistent between in vivo and explant *** study showed that the organotypic retinal explant culture model had a high degree of consistency with the progression of in vivo early postnatal retina *** findings confirm the accuracy and credibility of this model and support its use for long-term,systema.ic,and continuous observation.

Rechargeable aqueous zinc-ion batteries （AZIBs） exhibit appreciable potential in the doma.n of electrochemical energy ***,there are serious challenges for AZIBs,for instance zinc dendrite growth,hydrogen evolution reaction （HER）,and corrosion side ***,we propose a surface engineering modification strategy for coating the montmorillonite （MMT） layer onto the surface of the Zn anode to tackle these issues,thereby achieving high cycling stability for rechargeable *** results reveal that the MMT layer on the surface of the Zn anode is able to provide ordered zincophilic channels for zinc ions migration,facilitating the reaction kinetics of zinc *** functional theory（DFT） calculations and water contact angle （CA） tests prove that MMT@Zn anode exhibits superior adsorption capacity for Zn2+and better hydrophobicity than the bare Zn anode,thereby achieving excellent cycling ***,the MMT@Zn||MMT@Zn symmetric cell holds the stable cycling over 5600 h at 0.5 ma.cm-2and 0.125 m A h cm-2,even exceeding 1800 h long cycling under harsh conditions of 5 m A cm-2and 1.25 m A h *** MMT@Zn||V2O5full cell reaches over 3000 cycles at 2 A g-1with excellent rate ***,this surface engineering modification strategy for enhancing the electrochemical performa.ce of AZIBs represents a promising application.

秦汉乡村借贷既非古典借贷,亦非严格意义上的高利贷,它只是被当时乡村社会所普遍接受的特有借贷形式。这一借贷形式具有较强内循性,多以乡村居民间借贷为主,富商大贾以及城市商业资本难以介入;也有较强应急性,多是乡村居民生存急需时的借贷行为,经营性或扩大再生产的借贷颇为少见;还有较强行政性,王朝官方既是重要放贷方,又是监管者与仲裁人,直接介入乡村经济事务。这些特点减少了商品经济对乡村社会的冲击,在一定时期内有利于乡村社会发展与繁荣。但是,从长时段视角看,它也影响乡村社会对外来经济要素的接纳,制约乡村社会进一步发展,使其长期处于简单再生产的循环之中。

Therma.ly activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) depends on reverse intersystem crossing (RISC) from the lowest triplet to the singlet excited state. Here, a ma.rocyclization strategy is developed to achieve TADF emission by promoting RISC. 5-(9Hcarbazol-9-yl) isophthalonitrile, a fluorescent molecule, is coupled with 1,4-dimethoxybenzene by methylene bridges to form a ma.rocycle with TADF emission. Experimental results and theoretical calculation indicate that the ma.rocyclization strategy contributes to RISC promotion and suppression of nonradiative decay, resulting in effective TADF emission transformed from prompt fluorescence. Three TADF luminophores are cyclized with the same strategy, and an enhanced TADF emission of up to3.8 folds is observed. The ma.riage of ma.rocycle chemistry and luminescent ma.erials will provide new guidelines for designing efficient TADF ma.erials.

With the increasing dema.d for energy storage technology, iron-chromium flow batteries（ICFBs） have been widely concerned because of their price advantage. However, the low electrochemical activity of Cr3+/Cr2+redox couples and the side hydrogen evolution reaction limit the industrial application of ICFBs. A multi-dimensional Bi/carbon composite electrocatalyst（Bi@C）for ICFB is designed and prepared to improve the electrochemical activity of Cr3+/Cr2+redox couples. Benefiting by using the Bimetal organic framework（Bi-MOF） with solid ma.rix as precursors, Bi nanospheres are highly dispersed on the Bi@C electrocatalyst that effectively enhances the electrochemical activity. The special morphology of Bi@C electrocatalyst helps the transfer of electrons and ions, significantly reducing the polarization of battery. Herein, the 3D porous carbon frames accelerate ma.s transfer, and the 2D carbon nanobelts and carbon layer coating on 0D Bi nanospheres improve the conductivity of Bi nanospheres. Therefore, the ICFB with multi-dimensional Bi@C electrocatalyst exhibits coulombic efficiency of 98.10% and energy efficiency of 79.14% at 140 ma.cm-2, which is higher than ICFBs with commercial graphite carbon electrocatalyst and with heat treatment carbon felt. This work provides a simple and economical method to fabricate a high-performa.ce multidimensional Bi@C electrocatalyst for Cr3+/Cr2+redox couples, boosting the development of ICFBs.

As huma.s and robots work closer together than ever, anthropomorphic robotic arms with intuitive huma.-robot interaction interfaces have drawn ma.sive attention to improving the quality of robot-assisted ma.ipulation. In pursuit of this,we designed a dedicated 7-degrees-of-freedom (DoF) anthropomorphic robotic arm having three compact differential joints and a head-mounted gaze tracker enabling head-pose-tracked 3D gaze estima.ion. Moreover, two key challenges were addressed to achieve accurate robot-assisted ma.ipulation of the object indicated by the direction of huma. gaze. First, a novel predictive pupil feature was proposed for 3D gaze estima.ion. Differing from most existing features subjected to the common paraxial approxima.ion assumption, the proposed novel predictive pupil feature considered the light refraction at two corneal surfaces with a more realistic eye model, significantly improving the 3D gaze estima.ion accuracy when the eyeball rotates at large angles. Second, a novel optimization-based approach was developed to efficiently compensate for the posture errors of the designed 7-DoF anthropomorphic robotic arm for accurate ma.ipulation. Compared with the existing Jacobian-based or optimization-based approaches with nominal joint values as iteration initial, the proposed approach computed the optima. iteration initial and realized faster convergence for real-time posture error compensation. With the posture error compensation in real time and 3D gaze estima.ed accurately, the huma. can comma.d accurate robot-assisted ma.ipulation using his eyes intuitively. The proposed system was successfully tested on five healthy subjects.
