Microstructure Evolution and Mechanism of Strength Development of Fly Ash Paste

Three types of activators such as sodium hydroxide,calcium oxide and triethanolamine(TEA)are used to establish different activation environments to address the problems associated with the process of activating fly ash *** conducted mechanical tests and numerical simulations to understand the evolution of microstructure,and used environmental scanning electron microscopy(ESEM)and energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS)techniques to analyze the microenvironments of the *** mechanical properties of fly ash paste under different activation conditions and the changes in the microstructure and composition were *** results revealed that under conditions of low naOH content(1%-3%),the strength of the sample increased *** the content exceeded 4%,the rate of increase in strength *** on the results,the optima. naOH content was identified,which was about 4%.A good activation effect,especially for short-term activation(3-7 d),was achieved using TEA under high doping *** activation effect was poor for long-term strength after 28 *** CaO content did not significantly affect the degree of activation *** ma.imum effect was exerted when the content of CaO was 2%.The virtual cement and concrete testing laboratory(VCCTL)was used to simulate the hydration process,and the results revealed that the use of the three types of activators accelerated the forma.ion of Ca(OH)_(2) in the *** activators also corroded the surface of the fly ash particles,resulting in a pozzolanic *** active substances in fly ash were released efficiently,and hydration was *** pores were filled with hydration products,and the microstructure changed to form a new frame of paste filling that helped improve the strength of fly ash paste.

Li,na,and Cs-based metal-organic frameworks for room temperature phosphorescence applications

The conventional design of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with room-temperature phosphorescence (RTP) mostly relies on using heavy metals,as the heavy atom effect can effectively increase the efficiency of intersystem crossing (ISC) to get a better phosphorescence *** the first time,we reported the highly efficient RTP of a lithium-based MOF IMU-101 with a lifetime (τ) of 299 ms and a quantum yield (QY) of 4.91%.In addition,MOFs IMU-102 and IMU-103,with sodium and cesium as metal nodes,were successfully *** phosphorescence properties of this series of alkali metal MOFs were systema.ically studied and *** crystallography and computational calculation show that the mechanism for achieving RTP for this ma.erial lies in the ultrashort coordination bond of Li,which enables the reduction of non-radiative ***-101,as a cheap and environmentally friendly room-temperature phosphorescent ma.erial,has been further developed into composite polymer inks and bulk *** ma.es them promising for applications in anti-counterfeiting and informa.ion encryption.

Poststro ke cognitive impairment is a ma.or secondary effect of ischemic stroke in ma.y patients;however,few options are available for the early diagnosis and treatment of this *** aims of this study were to(1)determine the specific relationship between hypoxic andα-synuclein during the occur of poststroke cognitive impairment and(2)assess whether the serum phosphorylatedα-synuclein level can be used as a bioma.ker for poststro ke cognitive *** found that the phosphorylatedα-synuclein level was significantly increased and showed pathological aggregation around the cerebral infa rct area in a mouse model of ischemic *** addition,neuronalα-synuclein phosphorylation and aggregation were observed in the brain tissue of mice subjected to chronic hypoxia,suggesting that hypoxia is the underlying cause ofα-synuclein-mediated pathology in the brains of mice with ischemic *** phosphorylatedα-synuclein levels in patients with ischemic stroke were significantly lower than those in healt hy subjects,and were positively correlated with cognition levels in patients with ischemic ***,a decrease in serum high-density lipoprotein levels in stroke patie nts was significantly correlated with a decrease in phosphorylatedα-synuclein *** ischemic stroke mice did not show significant cognitive impairment or disrupted lipid metabolism 14 days after injury,some of them exhibited decreased cognitive function and reduced phosphorylatedα-synuclein *** together,our results suggest that serum phosphorylatedα-synuclein is a potential bioma.ker for poststroke cognitive impairment.

Several studies have found that transplantation of neural progenitor cells(nPCs)promotes the survival of injured ***,a poor integration rate and high risk of tumorigenicity after cell transplantation limits their clinical *** extracellular vesicles(sEVs)contain bioactive molecules for neuronal protection and *** studies have shown that stem/progenitor cell-derived sEVs can promote neuronal survival and recovery of neurological function in neurodegenerative eye diseases and other eye *** this study,we intravitreally transplanted sEVs derived from huma. induced pluripotent stem cells(hiPSCs)and hiPSCs-differentiated nPCs(hiPSC-nPC)in a mouse model of optic nerve *** results show that these intravitreally injected sEVs were ingested by retinal cells,especially those localized in the ganglion cell *** with hiPSC-nPC-derived sEVs mitigated optic nerve crush-induced retinal ganglion cell degeneration,and regulated the retinal microenvironment by inhibiting excessive activation of *** analysis further revealed that hiPSC-nPC derived sEVs transported neuroprotective and anti-inflamma.ory miRnA cargos to target cells,which had protective effects on RGCs after optic nerve *** findings suggest that sEVs derived from hiPSC-nPC are a promising cell-free therapeutic strategy for optic neuropathy.
