The biosynthesis of prostaglandins and thromboxanes has been a focus of interest in the management of many liver *** are the enzymes involved in the first step of the biosynthesis of these lipid mediators and selective inhibitors for these isoenzymes as well as pharmacological analogues of prostaglandins have been developed and are currently applied *** we discuss the implications of these enzymes in the onset of metabolic and lipid disorders in the liver and their potential role in the progression of the diseases towards fibrosis and hepatocellular carcinogenesis.

CO2is the main greenhouse gas which causes global climatic changes on larger scale. many techniques have been utilised to capture CO2. membrane gas separation is a fast growing CO2 capture technique, particularly gas separation by composite membranes. The separation of CO2 by a membrane is not just a process to physically sieve out of CO2 through the controlled membrane pore size. It mainly depends upon diffusion and solubility of gases, particularly for composite dense membranes. The blended components in composite membranes have a high capability to adsorb CO2. The adsorption kinetics of the gases may directly affect diffusion and solubility. In this study, we have investigated the adsorption behaviour of CO2 in pure and composite membranes to explore the complete understanding of diffusion and solubility of CO2 through membranes. Pure cellulose acetate（CA） and cellulose acetatetitania nanoparticle（CA-TiO2） composite membranes were fabricated and characterised using SEm and FTIR analysis. The results indicated that the blended CA-TiO2 membrane adsorbed more quantity of CO2 gas as compared to pure CA membrane. The high CO2 adsorption capacity may enhance the diffusion and solubility of CO2 in the CA-TiO2 composite membrane, which results in a better CO2 separation. The experimental data was modelled by Pseudo first-order, pseudo second order and intra particle diffusion *** to correlation factor R2, the Pseudo second order model was fitted well with experimental data. The intra particle diffusion model revealed that adsorption in dense membranes was not solely consisting of intra particle diffusion.

Bile acids (BAs) have a long established role in fat digestion in the intestine by acting as tensioactives, due to their amphipatic characteristics. BAs are reabsorbed very efficiently by the intestinal epithelium and recycled back to the liver via transport mechanisms that have been largely elucidated. The transport and synthesis of BAs are tightly regulated in part by specific plasma membrane receptors and nuclear receptors. In addition to their primary effect, BAs have been claimed to play a role in gastrointestinal cancer, intestinal inflammation and intestinal ionic transport. BAs are not equivalent in any of these biological activities, and structural requirements have been generally identified. In particular, some BAs may be useful for cancer chemoprevention and perhaps in inflammatory bowel disease, although further research is necessary in this field. This review covers the most recent developments in these aspects of BA intestinal biology.

With the expanding use of the Internet of Things(IoT)devices and the connection of humans and devices to the Internet,the need to provide security in this field is constantly *** conventional cryptographic solutions need the IoT device to store secret keys in its non-volatile memory(nVm)leading the system to be vulnerable to physical *** addition,they are not appropriate for IoT applications due to their complex ***,physically unclonable functions(PUFs)have been introduced to simultaneously address these *** are lightweight and easy-toaccess hardware security primitives which employ the unique characteristics of integrated circuits(ICs)to generate secret *** all proposed PUFs,ring oscillator PUF(RO-PUF)has had amore suitable structure for hardware implementation because of its high reliability and easier providing of circuital ***,RO-PUF has not been so attractive for authentication purposes due to its limited supported challenge-response pairs(CRPs).A few efforts have been made in recent years that could successfully improve the RO-PUF CRP space,such as configurable RO-PUF(CRO-PUF).In this paper,by considerably improving the CRO-PUF structure and adding spare paths,we propose a novel strong RO-PUF structure that exponentially grows the CRP space and dramatically reduces the hardware *** implement our design on a simple and low-cost FPGA chip named XC6SLX9-2tqg144,stating that the proposed design can be used in IoT *** addition,to improve the CRP space,our design creates a suitable improvement in different security/performance terms of the generated responses,and dramatically outperforms the *** average reliability,uniqueness,and uniformity of the responses generated are 99.55%,48.49%,and 50.99%,respectively.

The use of animals lacking genes or expressing genes under the control of cell-specific promoters has signifi cantly increased our knowledge of the genetic and molecular basis of physiopathology,allowing testing of functional hypotheses and validation of biochemical and pharmacologic approaches in order to understand cell ***,with unexpected frequency,gene knockout animals and,more commonly,animal models of transgenesis give experimental support to even opposite conclusions on gene *** we summarize what we learned on the role of cyclooxygenase 2(COX-2) in liver and revise the results obtained in 3 independent models of mice expressing a COX-2 transgene specifi cally in the *** challenge with pro-inflammatory stimuli,the animals behave very differently,some transgenic models having a protective effect but others enhancing the *** addition,one transgene exerts differential effects on normal liver physiology depending on the transgenic animal model used.

Ag–CdO composites are still one of the most commonly used electrical contact materials in low-voltage applications owing to their excellent electrical and mechanical ***,considering the restriction on using Cd due to its toxicity,it is necessary to find alternative materials that can replace these *** this study,the synthesis of Ag-ZnO alloys from Ag-Zn solid solutions was investigated by hot mechanochemical *** hot mechanochemical processing was conducted in a modified attritor mill at 138℃under flowing O2 at 1200 cm3/min for 3.0 *** microstructure and phase evolution were investigated using X-ray diffractometry,field emission gun scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron *** results suggest that it is possible to complete the oxidation of Ag-Zn solid solution by hot mechanochemical processing at a low temperature and short *** novel synthesis route can produce Ag-ZnO composites with a homogeneous distribution of nanoscale ZnO precipitates,which is impossible to achieve using the conventional material processing *** the fact that the fundamental approach to improving electric contact material performance resides in obtaining uniform dispersion of the second-phase in the Ag matrix,this new processing route could open the possibility for Ag-ZnO composites to replace non-environmentally friendly Ag-CdO.

In this editorial,we comment on pancreatic cancer(PC),one of the most aggressive and lethal *** minimal improvements in survival rates have been achieved over recent *** chemotherapeutic regimens have little impact,and surgical resection remains the only reliable curative *** address current treatment options for these patients,focusing on the usefulness of breast cancer(BRCA)gene mutation as a prognostic biomarker and predictor of response to *** survival outcomes have been reported in patients with PC and mutant BRCA gene treated with first-line platinum-based ***,it appears appropriate to include BRCA gene status among clinical criteria used to select the chemotherapy *** addition,maintenance treatment with poly(ADP-ribose)polymerase inhibitors has been found to improve progression-free survival in patients with PC and mutated BRCA whose disease does not progress after first-line platinum-based *** combination has therefore been proposed as the optimal treatment regimen for these patients.
