Sarcomas constitute a rare heterogeneous group of tumors,including a wide variety of histological *** advances in our understanding of the pathophysiology of the disease,first-line sarcoma treatment options are still limited and new treatment approaches are *** H2AX phosphorylation is a sensitive marker for double strand breaks and has recently emerged as biomarker of DnA damage for new drug *** this study,we explored the role of H2AX phosphorylation at Ser139 alone or in combination with MAP17 protein,an inducer of DnA damage through ROS increase,as prognostic biomarkers in sarcoma ***,we proposed doxorubicin and olaparib combination as potential therapeutic strategies against sarcomas displaying high level of both *** evaluate retrospectively the levels of pH2AX(Ser139)and MAP17 in a cohort of 69 patients with different sarcoma types and its relationship with clinical and pathological *** found that the levels of pH2AX and MAP17 were related to clinical features and poor ***,we pursued PARP1 inhibition with olaparib to potentiate the antitumor effect of DnA damaging effect of the DnA damaging agent doxorubicin to achieve an optimal synergy in *** demonstrated that the combination of olaparib and doxorubicin was synergistic in vitro,inhibiting cell proliferation and enhancing pH2AX intranuclear accumulation,as a result of DnA *** synergism was corroborated in patient-derived xenografts(PDX)where the combination was effective in tumors with high levels of pH2AX and MAP17,suggesting that both biomarkers might potentially identify patients who better benefit from this combined therapy.

Hyperspectral(HS)image classification plays a crucial role in numerous areas including remote sensing(RS),agriculture,and the monitoring of the *** band selection in HS images is crucial for improving the efficiency and accuracy of image *** process involves selecting the most informative spectral bands,which leads to a reduction in data *** on these key bands also enhances the accuracy of classification algorithms,as redundant or irrelevant bands,which can introduce noise and lower model performance,are *** this paper,we propose an approach for HS image classification using deep Q learning(DQL)and a novel multi-objective binary grey wolf optimizer(MOBGWO).We investigate the MOBGWO for optimal band selection to further enhance the accuracy of HS image *** the suggested MOBGWO,a new sigmoid function is introduced as a transfer function to modify the wolves’*** primary objective of this classification is to reduce the number of bands while maximizing classification *** evaluate the effectiveness of our approach,we conducted experiments on publicly available HS image datasets,including Pavia University,Washington Mall,and Indian Pines *** compared the performance of our proposed method with several state-of-the-art deep learning(DL)and machine learning(ML)algorithms,including long short-term memory(LSTM),deep neural network(Dnn),recurrent neural network(Rnn),support vector machine(SVM),and random forest(RF).Our experimental results demonstrate that the Hybrid MOBGWO-DQL significantly improves classification accuracy compared to traditional optimization and DL ***-DQL shows greater accuracy in classifying most categories in both datasets *** the Indian Pine dataset,the MOBGWO-DQL architecture achieved a kappa coefficient(KC)of 97.68%and an overall accuracy(OA)of 94.32%.This was accompanied by the lowest root mean square error(RMSE)of 0.94,indicating very precise

The study of emergency evacuation in public spaces,buildings and large ships may present parallel characteristic in terms of complexity of the layout but there are also significant differences that can hinder passengers to reach muster stations or the *** are many hazards on a ship that can cause an emergency evacuation,the most severe result in loss of *** safe and effective evacuation of passengers from ships in an emergency situation becomes ***,computer simulation has become an indispensable technology in various fields,among them,the evacuation models that recently evolved incorporating human behavioral *** this work,an analysis of evacuation in a Landing Helicopter Dock(LHD)ship was *** routes specified by the ship’s procedures were introduced in the model and the six emergency scenarios of the naval Ship Code were *** crew and embarked troops were introduced with their different evacuation behavior,in addition,walking speeds were extracted from data set collected in experiments conducted at other *** the results of the simulations,the longest time was chosen and confidence intervals constructed to determine the total evacuation ***,results show that evacuation time meets regulatory requirements and the usefulness and low cost of the evacuation simulation for testing and refining possible ships’layouts and emergency scenarios.

Laboratory pull-out tests on fully grouted rock bolts and cable bolts:Results and lessons learned

Laboratory pull-out tests were conducted on the following rock bolts and cable bolts:steel rebars,smooth steel bars,fiberglass reinforced polymer threaded bolts,flexible cable bolts,IR5/In special cable bolts and Mini-cage cable *** diameter of the tested bolts was between 16 mm and 26 *** bolts were grouted in a sandstone sample using resin or cement *** tests were conducted under either constant radial stiffness or constant confining pressure boundary conditions applied on the outer surface of the rock *** most tests,the rate of displacement was about 0.02 mm/*** tests were performed using a pull-out bench that allows testing a wide range of *** paper provides an extensive database of laboratory pull-out test results and confirms the influence of the confining pressure and the embedment length on the pull-out response(rock bolts and cable bolts).It also highlights the sensitivity of the results to the operating conditions and to the behavior of the sample as a whole,which cannot be neglected when the test results are used to assess the bolt-grout or the grouterock interface.

In this paper we prove the behaviour in weighted Lp spaces of the oscillation and variation of the Hilbert transform and the Riesz transform associated with the Hermite operator of dimension 1. We prove that this operator maps LP（R, w（x）dx） into itself when w is a weight in the Ap class for 1 〈 p 〈 ∞. For p = 1 we get weak type for the A1 class. Weighted estimated are also obtained in the extreme case p = ∞.

Modeling of potential habitat suitability of Hippocamelus bisulcus: effectiveness of a protected areas network in Southern Patagonia

Introduction:Huemul(Hippocamelus bisulcus Molina)is the most threatened flag species of Southern Patagonia,where conservation efforts were not effective to avoid the retraction of its distribution *** quality modeling can assist to design better management strategies for regional conservation *** objective was to elaborate one habitat suitability map for huemul,defining the environmental characteristics at landscape level,and determining the distribution of the suitable habitat inside the current natural reserve ***:We used a database of 453 records and explored 40 potential explanatory variables(climate,topographic,and landscape variables including human-related ones)to develop one habitat suitability map using the Environmental niche Factor Analysis(EnFA)for Santa Cruz province(Argentina).We combined the outputs in a GIS project using different shapes,including the current natural reserve ***:We defined the potential habitat for huemul,where forest edges and ecotone zones(e.g.,mainly alpine environments)were the most important environmental variables,as well as some forest types(e.g.,nothofagus pumilio).Habitat losses were found in the extreme potential distribution areas(northern and southern areas),probably related to the increasing ranch *** current natural reserve network maintains approximately half of the huemul potential habitat in Santa Cruz province,where national Parks presented the similar conservation importance than the Provincial natural ***:Habitat suitability model for huemul can be used as a decision support system for new management strategies at different landscape levels to improve the current conservation efforts.

Secrecy Outage Probability Minimization in Wireless-Powered Communications Using an Improved Biogeography-Based Optimization-Inspired Recurrent neural network

This paper focuses on wireless-powered communication systems,which are increasingly relevant in the Internet of Things(IoT)due to their ability to extend the operational lifetime of devices with limited *** main contribution of the paper is a novel approach to minimize the secrecy outage probability(SOP)in these *** SOP is crucial for maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of data,especially in situations where the transmission of sensitive data is *** proposed method harnesses the power of an improved biogeography-based optimization(IBBO)to effectively train a recurrent neural network(Rnn).The proposed IBBO introduces an innovative migration *** core advantage of IBBO lies in its adeptness at maintaining equilibrium between exploration and *** is accomplished by integrating tactics such as advancing towards a random habitat,adopting the crossover operator from genetic algorithms(GA),and utilizing the global best(Gbest)operator from particle swarm optimization(PSO)into the IBBO *** IBBO demonstrates its efficacy by enabling the Rnn to optimize the system parameters,resulting in significant outage probability *** comprehensive simulations,we showcase the superiority of the IBBO-Rnn over existing approaches,highlighting its capability to achieve remarkable gains in SOP *** paper compares nine methods for predicting outage probability in wireless-powered *** IBBO-Rnn achieved the highest accuracy rate of 98.92%,showing a significant performance *** contrast,the standard Rnn recorded lower accuracy rates of 91.27%.The IBBO-Rnn maintains lower SOP values across the entire signal-to-noise ratio(SnR)spectrum tested,suggesting that the method is highly effective at optimizing system parameters for improved secrecy even at lower SnRs.
