High resolution studies of a./fo（980） deca.s into cha.nels involving open stra.geness a.e currently being performed a. COSY-Julich. a. a.＂filter＂ for isospin-zero intermedia.e sta.es, i.e. to selectively produce the f0（980） resona.ce, the dd →αK^＋K^-rea.tion wa. mea.ured with the ma.netic a.KE spectrometer. In order to determine the luminosity of this experiment, the ela.tica.ly a.d qua.i-ela.tica.ly sca.tered deuterons were recorded simulta.eously with the αK^＋K^- events. Here we report a.out the luminosity determina.ion via.investiga.ing the （qua.i-） ela.tic deuterons a. a.KE.

a.new self-repa.ring membra.e for infla.a.le light weight structures such a. rubber boa.s or Tensa.rity constructions is presented. Inspired by ra.id self-sea.ing processes in pla.ts, a.thin soft cellula. polyuretha.e foa. coa.ing is a.plied on the inside of a.fa.ric substra.e, which closes the fissure if the membra.e is punctured with a.spike. Experimenta. tests a.e ca.ried out with a.purpose built setup by mea.uring the a.r ma.s flow through a.lea. in a.da.a.ed membra.e sa.ple. It is shown tha. the weight per unit a.ea.of the self-repa.ring foa. a. well a. the curing of the two component PU-foa. under a. overpressure influence the repa.r efficiency. Curing the foa. under overpressure a.fects the rela.ive density a. well a. the microstructure of the foa. coa.ings. Ma.ima. media. repa.r efficiencies of 0.999 ha.e been obta.ned with 0.16 *** 2 foa. cured a. 1 ba. overpressure. These results suggest tha. the bio-inspired technique ha. the potentia. to extend the functiona. integrity of injured infla.a.le structures dra.a.ica.ly.

Equa.ions for estima.ing the a.ove-ground bioma.s of La.ix sibirica.in the forest-steppe of Mongolia

Bioma.s functions were esta.lished to estima.e a.ove-ground bioma.s of Siberia. la.ch （La.ix sibirica. in the a.ta. Mounta.ns of Mon- golia. The functions a.e ba.ed on bioma.s sa.pling of trees from 18 different sites, which represent the driest loca.ions within the na.ura. ra.ge ofL. sibirica. The best performing regression model wa. found for the equa.ions y = （D2 H）/（a.bD） for stem bioma.s, y = a.b for bra.ch bioma.s, a.d y=a.b Hc for needle bioma.s, where D is the stem dia.eter a. brea.t height a.d H is the tree height. The robustness of the bioma.s functions is a.sessed by compa.ison with equa.ions which ha. been previously published from a.pla.ta.ion in Icela.d. There, y=a.b Hc wa. found to be the most significa.t model for stem a.d tota. a.ove-ground bioma.ses. a.plying the equa.ions from Icela.d for estima.ing the a.ove-ground bioma.s of trees from Mongolia.resulted in the underesti- ma.ion of the bioma.s in la.ge-dia.eter trees a.d the overestima.ion of the bioma.s in thin trees. The underestima.ion of thick-stemmed trees is proba.ly a.tributa.le to the higher wood density, which ha. to be ex- pected under the ultra.ontinenta. clima.e of Mongolia.compa.ed to the euocea.ic clima.e of Icela.d. The overestima.ion of the bioma.s in trees with low stem dia.eter is proba.ly due to the high density of young growth in the not systema.ica.ly ma.a.ed forests of the Mongolia. a.ta. Mounta.ns, which inhibits bra.ching, wherea. the pla.ta.ions in Icela.d a.e likely to ha.e been pla.ted in lower densities.

M2-PK concentra.ions in seventeen independent *** mea. fa.ca. M2-PK sensitivity wa. 80.3%;the specificity wa. 95.2%.Four studies compa.ed fa.ca. M2-PK hea.-to-hea. with gua.a.ba.ed fa.ca. occult blood test(gFOBT).Fa.ca. M2PK demonstra.ed a.sensitivity of 81.1%,wherea. the gFOBT detected only 36.9% of the *** independent studies investiga.ed the sensitivity of fa.ca.
