Surgical resection remains the only definitive treatment for colorectal liver metastasis(CRLM). However, only a minority of cases are deemed resectable at the time of diagnosis. Systemic chemotherapy along with hepatic artery infusion(HAI) is an effective and safe regional chemotherapy modality for the downstaging of patients with isolated unresectable CRLM [1].

Dunwoody manifolds are an interesting class of closed connected orientable 3-manifolds, which are defined by means of Heegaard diagrams having a rotational symmetry. They are proved to be cyclic coverings of lens spaces （possibly S3） branched over （1, 1）-knots. Here we study the Dunwoody manifolds which are cyclic coverings of the 3-sphere branched over two specified families of Montesinos knots. Then we determine the Dunwoody parameters for such knots and the isometry groups for the considered manifolds in the hyperbolic case. A list of volumes for some hyperbolic Dunwoody manifolds completes the paper.

Testicular volume(TV)is proposed to be a positive predictor of male fertility status,because of the relation known between the TV and the seminiferous tubule *** of the measurement methodology,the role of TV and testicular ultrasound(US)assessments is still debated in andrological clinical *** this retrospective cohort study,we evaluated TV and testis US role in the diagnostic workup of andrological *** consecutive outpatients undergoing single-operator testis US(Modena,Italy)from March 2012 to March 2018 were enrolled,matching sonographic,hormonal,and seminal data.A total of 302 men were referred and evaluated for gynecomastia,suspected hypogonadism,couple infertility(Cl),or sexual *** the hypogonadal group,TV was lower compared to that in other groups(P<0.001),and a significant,direct correlation between TV and testosterone level was observed in nonandrogen-treated patients(R=0.911,P<0.001),suggesting that testicular size could be related to the testosterone-secreting *** the Cl group,normozoospermic patients showed higher TV compared to men with impaired semen quality(P=0.003)and azoospermia(P=0.003).However,TV was not able to discriminate between patients presenting normal and altered semen *** the contrary,testis US inhomogeneity was more frequent in patients with impaired sperm quality(55.0%;P=0.007)and azoospermia(40.0%;P=0.012),compared to patients with normozoospermia(5%),identifying thereby the sonographic pattern as an informative parameter of the fertility ***,in the Cl workup,US evaluation seems to be more informative than the TV assessment alone.

BACKGROUND Skeletal muscle alterations(SMAs)are being increasingly recognized in patients with metabolic dysfunctionassociated steatotic liver disease(MASLD)and appear to be associated with deleterious outcomes in these ***,their actual prevalence and pathophysiology remain to be *** To determine the prevalence of SMAs and to assess the significance of circulating myokines as biomarkers in patients with *** Skeletal muscle strength and muscle mass were measured in a cross-sectional study in a cohort of 62 patients fulfilling MASLD criteria,recruited from the outpatient clinics of a tertiary level *** degree of fibrosis and liver steatosis was studied using abdominal ultrasound and transitional *** and metabolic characteristics as well as serum levels of different myokines were also determined in the MASLD *** analysis was performed comparing results according to liver fibrosis and *** No significant differences were found in both skeletal muscle strength and skeletal muscle mass in patients with MASLD between different stages of liver ***,serum levels of fibroblast growth factor-21(FGF21)were significantly higher in patients with MASLD with advanced hepatic fibrosis(F3-F4)than in those with lower fibrosis stages(F0-F2)(197.49±198.27 pg/mL vs 95.62±83.67 pg/mL;P=0.049).In addition,patients with MASLD with severe hepatosteatosis(S3)exhibited significantly higher serum levels of irisin(1116.87±1161.86 pg/mL)than those with lower grades(S1-S2)(385.21±375.98 pg/mL;P=0.001).CONCLUSION SMAs were uncommon in the patients with MASLD *** serum levels of irisin and FGF21 were detected in patients with advanced liver steatosis and fibrosis,respectively,with potential implications as biomarkers.

The ability to accurately characterize projects novel project characteristic is developed characteristic, called project regularity, is essential to good project management. Therefore, a reflects the value accrue within a project. This expressed in terms of the newly introduced regular/irregular-indicator RI. The widely accepted management system of earned value management （EVM） forms the basis for evaluation of the new characteristic. More concretely, the influence of project regularity on EVMforecasting accuracy is assessed, and is shown to be significant for both time and cost forecasting. Moreover, this effect appears to be stronger than that of the widely used characteristic of project seriality expressed by the serial/parallel-indicator SP. Therefore, project regularity could also be useful as an input parameter for project network generators. Furthermore, the introduction of project regularity can provide project managers with a more accurate indication of the time and cost forecasting accuracy that is to be expected for a certain project and, correspondingly, of how a project should be built up in order to obtain more reliable forecasts during project control.

The renewable energy source(RES)penetration in end use must be strengthened to reach the prefixed decarbonization targets.A penetration obstacle is represented by the Power Grid,designed with an architecture disinclined to RES ***,different solutions are available to integrate these latter issues without affecting the Grid,among these,the reversible Solid Oxide Cell(rSOC)promises high efficiencies and the possibility to control energy fluxes in both production and *** this study,a series of hourly simulations based on real data were designed to evaluate the rSOC capacity to integrate a large number of RESs in the end use of three different buildings,through analyzing the possible congestion on the Power *** a rSOC model we chose the Smart Energy Hub proposed by Sylfen while for the buildings we selected a school,a hotel,and an office located in Procida,*** results show the rSOC capacity to integrate RES increased from 40%to 62%according to the storage capacity and the building’s hourly load curve and seasonal consumptions.
