A Bibliometric Visualization Review of the MODIS LAI/FPAR Products from 1995 to 2020

The MODIS LAI/FPAR products have been widely used in various fields since their first public release in *** review intends to summarize the history,development trends,scientific collaborations,disciplines involved,and research hotspots of these *** aim is to intrigue researchers and stimulate new research *** on literature data from the Web of Science(WOS)and associated funding information,we conducted a bibliometric visualization review of the MODIS LAI/FPAR products from 1995 to 2020 using bibliometric and social network analysis(SNA)*** drew the following conclusions:(1)research based on the MODIS LAI/FPAR shows an upward trend with a multiyear average growth rate of 24.9%in the number of publications.(2)Researchers from China and the USA are the backbone of this research area,among which the Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS)is the core research institution.(3)Research based on the MODIS LAI/FPAR covers a wide range of disciplines but mainly focus on environmental science and ecology.(4)Ecology,crop production estimation,algorithm improvement,and validation are the hotspots of these studies.(5)Broadening the research field,improving the algorithms,and overcoming existing difficulties in heterogeneous surface,scale effects,and complex terrains will be the trend of future *** work provides a clear view of the development of the MODIS LAI/FPAR products and valuable information for scholars to broaden their research fields.

In supervised learning the number of values of a response variable can be very high. Grouping these values in a few clusters can be useful to perform accurate supervised classification analyses. On the other hand selecting relevant covariates is a crucial step to build robust and efficient prediction models. We propose in this paper an algorithm that simultaneously groups the values of a response variable into a limited number of clusters and selects stepwise the best covariates that discriminate this clustering. These objectives are achieved by alternate optimization of a user-defined model selection criterion. This process extends a former version of the algorithm to a more general framework. Moreover possible further developments are discussed in detail.

The prospect of combining both magnetic and plasmonic properties in a single nanoparticle promises both valuable insights on the properties of such systems from a fundamental viewpoint and numerous possibilities for technological applications. However, the combination of two of the most prominent metallic candidates—iron and silver—has presented numerous experimental difficulties because their thermodynamic properties impede miscibility and even coalescence. Herein, we present the thorough characterization of physically prepared Fe50Ag50 nanoparticles embedded in carbon and silica matrices via electron microscopy, optical spectroscopy, magnetometry and synchrotron-based X-ray spectroscopy. Iron and silver segregate completely into structures resembling fried eggs, with a nearly spherical, crystallized silver part surrounded by an amorphous structure of iron carbide or oxide, depending on the environment of the particles. Consequently, the particles exhibit both plasmonic absorption corresponding to the silver nanospheres in an oxide environment and a reduced but measurable magnetic response. The suitability of such nanoparticles for technological applications is discussed from the viewpoint of their high chemical reactivity with their environment.

Effect of SOD1 Overexpression on the 20S Proteasome during Aging

Metabolism of oxygen derivatives has been shown to be altered in Down syndrome (DS) due to the overexpression of the Cu/Zn superoxide dismutase gene ( SOD-1) on chromosome 21. Transgenic mice for the human SOD1 gene (h SOD1) exhibit some features of the syndrome. Oxidation of proteins and oxidative stress are involved in normal and pathological aging. The proteasome is an adaptative system to eliminate the modified proteins which can be deleterious. As SOD1 overexpression has been shown to be either deleterious or protective according to tissues and paradigms, we have measured in function of age the 20S proteasome activities in neural tissues (cerebral hemisphere, cerebellum and cortex) and in the thymus and the heart from control and transgenic mice. Indeed, although SOD1 overexpression is very deleterious in thymus and heart, it has little effect in cerebral hemisphere and cortex depending on the proteolytic activity measured. Conversely in the cerebellum the three proteolytic activities decrease dramatically in transgenic old mice while it was not modified in control mice during aging. The results of this study suggest that some phenotypes of DS present in thymus, heart and neural tissues of h SOD1 transgenic mice might be partially due to the modulation of the 20S proteasome expression during aging.

提出一种基于半马尔可夫网络流量模型的延迟估计算法,用于估计传输链路的延迟超过某个阈值的概率,该值可做为控制器设计及控制策略选择的依据。利用半马尔可夫理论对网络流量进行建模,建立了延迟与网络传输中的队列队长、及队长与网络流速率的函数关系,之后经过推导和有限分割,得出网络延迟概率计算公式,并分析了该算法的复杂度。在计算布朗运动积分时采用It积分实现。仿真证明该算法是有效、可行的。
