Atmospheric and Coupled Model Intercomparison in Terms of Amplitude—Phase Characteristics of Surface Air Temperature Annual Cycle

A model intercomparison in terms of surface air temperature annual cycle amplitude-phase characteristics (SAT AC APC) is performed. The models included in the intercomparison belong to two groups: five atmospheric models with prescribed sea surface temperature and sea ice cover and four coupled models forced by the atmospheric abundances of anthropogenic constituents (in total six coupled model simulations). Over land, the models, simulating higher than observed time averaged SAT, also tend to simulate smaller than observed amplitude of its annual and semiannual harmonics and (outside the Tropics) later-than-observed spring and autumn moments. The models with larger (smaller) time averaged amplitudes of annual and semiannual harmonics also tend to simulate larger (smaller) interannual standard deviations. Over the oceans, the coupled models with larger interannual standard deviations of annual mean SAT tend to simulate larger interannual standard deviations of both annual and semiannual SAT harmonics amplitudes. Most model errors are located in the belts 60°–70°N and 60°–70°S and over Antarctica. These errors are larger for those coupled models which do not employ dynamical modules for sea ice. No systematic differences are found in the simulated time averaged fields of the surface air temperature annual cycle characteristics for atmospheric models on one hand and for the coupled models on the other. But the coupled models generally simulate interannual variability of SAT AC APC better than the atmospheric models (which tend to underestimate it). For the coupled models, the results are not very sensitive to the choice of the particular scenario of anthropogenic forcing. There is a strong linear positive relationship between the model simulated time averaged semiannual SAT harmonics amplitude and interannual standard deviation of annual mean SAT. Fatty acid oxidation and autophagy promote endoxifen resistance and counter the effect of AKT inhibition in ER-positive breast cancer cells

Tamoxifen(TAM)is the first-line endocrine therapy for estrogen receptor-positive(ER+)breast cancer(BC).However,acquired resistance occurs in∼50%***,although the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway is a viable target for treatment of endocrine therapy-refractory patients,complex signaling feedback loops exist,which can counter the effectiveness of inhibitors of this ***,we analyzed signaling pathways and metabolism in ER+MCF7 BC cell line and their TAM-resistant derivatives that are co-resistant to endoxifen using immunoblotting,quantitative polymerase chain reaction,and the Agilent Seahorse XF *** found that activation of AKT and the energy-sensing kinase AMPK was increased in TAM and endoxifen-resistant ***,ERRα/PgC-1βand their target genes MCAD and CPT-1 were increased and regulated by AMPK,which coincided with increased fatty acid oxidation(FAO)and autophagy in TAM-resistant *** of AKT feedback-activates AMPK and ERRα/PgC-1β-MCAD/CPT-1 with a consequent increase in FAO and autophagy that counters the therapeutic effect of endoxifen and AKT ***,our results indicate increased activation of AKT and AMPK with metabolic reprogramming and increased autophagy in TAM-resistant *** inhibition of AKT and FAO/autophagy is necessary to fully sensitize resistant cells to endoxifen.

BDNF Overexpression Enhances the Preconditioning Effect of Brief Episodes of Hypoxia,Promoting Survival of gABAergic Neurons

This contribution describes the use of chromatic techniques for quantifying signatures of partial discharges(PD).A brief description of the basis of chromatic monitoring is given along with explanations of how the approach may be applied for addressing signals produced by *** test data from several sources for different types of PDs,operating conditions and geometries have been subjected to the chromatic *** include a point-plane gap,a sphere in a liquid and treeing in a *** changes in PD signals have been investigated as a function of the amplitude of the alternating voltage producing the PD,the time duration before full electrical breakdown and for different forms of *** of the chromatic processing of these data are presented in the form of a number of chromatic maps relating to different quarter cycles of the alternating voltage producing the *** results show the potential of the chromatic techniques for indicating the likelihood of full electrical breakdown and for distinguishing between certain forms of PDs.A summary of the chromatic processing procedures is presented for producing chromatic maps and for adaptation in further exploring PD signal features.

INFLUENCINg FACTORS FOR OBTAININg ULTRAFINE AUSTENITE gRAINS WITH INITIAL MICROSTRUCTURE OF WARM-ROLLED FERRITE/PEARLITE

Three warm-rolled ferrite/pearlite microstructures were prepared by rolling at 500℃, and the austenitizing characteristics were discussed in conjunction with deformation during the heating stage. The results indicated that the final austenite grain size was sensitive to the deformation direction of the initial warm-rolled microstructure. The transient microstructure at a given temperature was the most important influencing factor on the austenitizing characteristic combined with deformation. Moreover, the hot-rolled mierostructure also had to be prepared in an optimal state because of its direct effect on the warm-rolled microstructure.

制备了2个新的含有N,N,N-三甲基丙烷-1-铵基团和N,N,N-三甲基戊烷-1-铵基团的苯乙酮-(4-羟基苯腙)配体:(E)-3-(4-(1-(2-(4-hydroxybenzoyl)hydrazono)ethyl)phenoxy)-N,N,N-trimethylpropan-1-ammonium perchlorate(H2L1)和(E)-3-(4-(1-(2-(4-hy-droxybenzoyl)hydrazono)ethyl)phenoxy)-N,N,N-trimethylpentane-1-ammonium perchlorate(H2L2)。以这2个配体分别合成了2个新的铜配合物:[Cu(HL1)2]和[Cu(HL2)2],研究了这些配体和配合物的DNA结合和切割活性,还研究了DNA切割的机理以及化合物浓度对DNA切割反应的影响。紫外-可见光谱结果表明,所有化合物均优先通过主沟结合模式与DNA结合,在甲基绿(主要的沟结合剂)的存在下切割DNA的活性受到抑制的结果也支持这一结论。电泳研究的结果则表明,化合物在存在或不存在氧化剂(H2O2)的情况下均对质粒DNA表现出显著的切割活性,活性主要取决于化合物的浓度。化合物通过水解途径裂解pBR322 DNA,在存在不同自由基清除剂情况下的DNA裂解实验也支持这一结论。

This paper presents the analytical simulation of an elastically restrained tapered cantilever beam using the energy balance method(EBM) and the iteration perturbation method(IPM).To assess the accuracy of solutions,we compare the results with the harmonic balance method(HBM).The obtained results from EBM and IPM are in excellent agreement with HBM *** results show that both methods can be easily extended to other nonlinear oscillations and it can be predicted that both methods can be found widely applicable in engineering and physics.

We demonstrate digital plasmonic holography for direct in-plane imaging with propagating surface-plasmon *** with surface plasmons suffers from the lack of simple in-plane lenses and ***-less digital holography techniques,however,rely on digitally decoding an interference pattern between a reference wave and an object *** far-field diffractive optics,this decoding scheme provides a full recording,i.e.,a hologram,of the amplitude and phase of the object wave,giving three-dimensional information from a two-dimensional *** plasmonics,only a one-dimensional recording is needed,and both the phase and amplitude of the propagating plasmons can be extracted for high-resolution in-plane ***,we demonstrate lens-less,point-source digital plasmonic holography using two methods to record the plasmonic holograms:a dual-probe near-field scanning optical microscope and lithographically defined circular fluorescent *** point-source geometry gives in-plane magnification,allowing for high-resolution imaging with relatively lower-resolution microscope *** results pave the way for a new form of in-plane plasmonic imaging,gathering the full complex wave,without the need for plasmonic mirrors or lenses.
