Some of the p.oblems attributed to traditional laboratory analyses that limit the correct assessment of the nutrient contents in the soil are time requirements and high cost of the soil nutrient *** solve these p.oblems,a study was carried out to evaluate the use of visible,near-infrared,and short-wave infrared(Vis-NIR-SWIR)sp.ctroscop. in the p.ediction of soil available ions submitted to the ap.lication of rock *** study was carried out on an Arenosol in p.ranavaíCity/***(rock p.wders)were arranged within a sp.it-p.ot system designed in randomized blocks with four *** was cultivated for 14 months after the ap.lication of rock ***,96 soil samp.es were collected for measuring the p. and available ions p.K^(+),Ca^(2+),Mg^(2+),S-SO_(4)^(2-),Si,Cu^(2+),Fe^(2+),Mn^(2+),and Zn^(2+)as well as sp.ctral reading through a Vis-NIR-SWIR sp.ctroradiometer to p.edict the soil chemical attributes through the p.rtial least square regression(p.S)*** results showed that the elements K^(+),Ca^(2+),Mg^(2+),Cu^(2+),and Fe^(2+)could be p.edicted with a reasonable rightness degree(R^(2)_(p.>0.50,Rp.p.1.40)from sp.ctral ***,for the attributes p.,p.S-SO_(4)^(2-),Si,Mn^(2+),and Zn^(2+),there were no satisfactory models(R^(2)_(p.p.p.1.40).Thus,the ap.lication of rock p.wder changed the sp.ctral curves and,because of that,allows the building of p.S models to p.edict the elements K^(+),Ca^(2+),Mg^(2+),Cu^(2+),and Fe^(2+).Therefore,Vis-NIR-SWIR sp.ctroscop. is a p.omising alternative to the routine analyses of soil fertility since it has advantages such as fast analytical sp.ed,low cost,easy to op.rate,non-destructive,and environmentally friendly,because it does not use harmful chemicals.

p.p.lation genetics studies are widely recognized for generating useful knowledge for biodiversity *** date,however,little is known about the levels and distribution of genetic diversity of Drymis brasiliensis(Miers LC),a tree sp.cies from the Atlantic ***,in this study,we investigated how genetic diversity is distributed within and among p.p.lations of *** from southern Brazil using allozyme markers to genotyp. rep.oductive trees(8 p.p.lations)and seedlings(3 p.p.lations).Furthermore,in two p.p.lations,we established two p.rmanent p.ots(5.1 and 1 ha)to analyze fine-scale genetic structure(FSGS).Studied p.p.lations p.esented low levels of genetic diversity(rep.oductive=0.085;seedlings=0.054)and high fixation indexes(rep.oductive=0.396;seedlings=0.231).Genetic divergence among p.p.lations was equal to 0.05,which is significant,signaling that few p.p.lations can conserve large p.rtions of the sp.cies total genetic *** was only detected for one p.p.lation,when rep.oductive individuals were sep.rated by less than40 *** genetic diversity combined with high fixation indexes clearly signal a risk of losing ***,conservation efforts should be aimed at enhancing gene flow within the studied p.p.lations.

Background： This study aimed to determine the effect of the inclusion of corn gluten feed （CGF） on the ap.arent and standardized ileal digestibility of p.otein and amino acids and the ap.arent ileal and total tract digestibility of energy in growing p.gs. The study was p.rformed using 16 barrows （weight, 45.3 ±4.5 kg） that were fitted with a T cannula at the terminal ileum. There were four treatments： a corn-soybean diet without CGF and three corn-soybean diets containing increasing levels of CGF （65, 130, and 195 g/kg）. Data were analyzed according to a randomized comp.ete block design, four blocks with four p.gs each （one p.g p.r treatment）. The trend of the resp.nse （linear or quadratic） was determined using orthogonal contrasts, and when a linear effect was determined, a linear equation was obtained. Results： The results showed that the inclusion up.to 195 g/kg of CGF in the corn-soybean diet did not diminish the ileal digestibility （ap.arent and standardized） of p.otein and amino acids （p.〉 0.05）, excep. that of p.enylalanine, cystine, and p.oline. A linear decrease （p.〈 0.05） p.r gram of CGF added to the diet in the ap.arent and standardized ileal digestibility of p.enylalanine （0.011 and 0.015 p.rcentage units, resp.ctively）, cystine （0.048 and 0.043 p.rcentage units, resp.ctively）, and p.oline （0.045 and 0.047 p.rcentage units, resp.ctively） was noted. Similarly, ileal digestibility of dry matter and energy were adversely affected （reduced by 0.028 and 0.025 p.rcentage units, resp.ctively, p.r gram of CGF increment in the diet）. A significant （p.〈 0.05） linear reduction in total tract digestibility with increase in CGF amount in the diet was observed for energy （0.027 p.rcentage units）, dry matter （0.027 p.rcentage units）, crude p.otein （0.020 p.rcentage units）, and neutral detergent fiber （0.041 p.rcentage units） p.r gram of CGF added to the diet.
