In this paper, Goursat’s problems for: linear and nonlinear hyperbolic equations of second-order, systems of nonlinear hyperbolic equations and fourth-order linear hyperbolic equations in which the attached conditions are given on the characteristics curves are transformed in such a manner that the Adomian decomposition method (ADM) can be applied. Some examples with closed-form solutions are studied in detail to further illustrate the proposed technique, and the results obtained indicate this approach is indeed practical and efficient.

Qatar today focuses so much on reconstructing its cultural heritage. It is clear that the reconstruction of Qatariheritage has stemmed from a nostalgic mood. Thus, the government subsumed that heritage into certaininterpretations and readings. Therefore, as presented today, Qatari heritage is no longer a self-referential heritage ofan indigenous culture. Rather, it has become a principle to reflect the social and economic existence of the Qataricommunity along with other global communities. The mass use of heritage and the implementation of Westernmuseum culture, however, might be viewed by some as the importation of a culture rather than the preservation ofan existing one. To minimise such potential problem, the government opted to ignore any distinctions betweenrepresenting heritage, interpreting it, or imposing new ideas and thinking around it. Instead, it has focused onintroducing a heritage based on linking images of foreign elements that characterise Qatari heritage with new socialand economic experiences.

Effect of lengthening along the anatomical axis of the femur and its clinical impact

AIM To review and study the effect of lengthening along the anatomical axis of long bones and its relation to the mechanical axis *** We try in this review to calculate and discuss the exact clinical impact of lengthening along the anatomical axis of the femur on affecting the limb alignment. Also we used a trigonometric formula to predict the change of the femoral distal anatomical mechanical angle(AMA) after lengthening along the anatomical axis. RESULTS Lengthening along the anatomical axis of the femur by 10% of its original length results in reduction in the distal femoral AMA by 0.57 degrees. There is no objective experimental scientific data to prove that the Mechanical axis is passing via the center of the hip to the center of the knee. There is wide variation in normal anatomical axis for different populations. In deformity correction, surgeons try to reproduce the normal usual bone shape to regain normal function, which is mainly anatomical axis. CONCLUSION Lengthening of the femur along its anatomical axis results in mild reduction of the distal femoral AMA. This may partially compensate for the expected mechanical axis lateralisation and hence justify its minimal clinical impact.

Evaluation of groundwater quality in the Dibdibba aquifer using hydrogeochemical and isotope techniques(Basrah Province,Iraq)

The Dibdibba aquifer is considered to be the main source in the Al-Zubair area because agriculture depends on it to provide grazing water in the *** groundwater well samples were collected from the shallow Dibdibba Aquifer in Basra Province,southern Iraq,through the dry and wet period for 37 water samples were collected,to investigate the water quality deterioration,which is a hydrogeochemical modeling study where used to represent the groundwater mixing *** physicochemical parameter results show the spatial and temporal variations along the groundwater flow path.A Durov diagram of the studied samples shows water type Na-SO_(4),which is represented by mixing waters that may be affected by *** geochemical model ratio results of the groundwater well samples have shown high mixing ratios in the east and southeast regions of the study *** stable isotope composition of groundwater samples indicated that the recharge source of the Dibdibba aquifer is meteoric water influenced by vapor water from the Arabian *** stable isotope results have shown that the enrichment ofδO values is relatively linked with high salinity concentration and indicated the mixing between the upper unconfined and the lower confined,especially in the eastern and southern parts of the study *** findings of geochemical modeling and isotopes indicated an increasing groundwater quality ***,we recommended avoiding these areas for intensive extraction of groundwater.

FAIR Guidelines and Data Regulatory Framework for Digital Health in Nigeria

Adopting the FAIR Guidelines—that data should be Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable(FAIR)—in the health data system in Nigeria will help protect data against use by unauthorised parties, while also making data more accessible to legitimate users. However, little is known about the FAIR Guidelines and their compatibility with data and health laws and policies in Nigeria. This study assesses the governance framework for digital and health/e Health policies in Nigeria and explores the possibility of a policy window opening for the FAIR Guidelines to be adopted and implemented in Nigeria’s e Health sector. Ten Nigerian policy documents were examined for mention of the FAIR Guidelines(or FAIR Equivalent terminology) and the 15 sub-criteria or facets. The analysis found that although the FAIR Guidelines are not explicitly mentioned, 70% of the documents contain FAIR Equivalent terminology. The Nigeria Data Protection Regulation contained the most FAIR Equivalent principles(73%) and some of the remaining nine documents also contained some FAIR Equivalent principles(between 0–60%). Accordingly, it can be concluded that a policy window is open for the FAIR Guidelines to be adopted and implemented in Nigeria’s e Health sector.

Comparative Physico-Chemical Characterization of the Mucilages of Two Cactus Pears (<i>Opuntia</i>Spp.) Obtained from Mekelle, Northern Ethiopia

Cactus is a plant that naturally grows in tropical and semi-tropical regions of the world. The composition of this mucilage is believed to differ from species to species. Hence, comparative study was carried out on mucilages of Opuntia ficus-indica (OFI) and Opuntia stricta (OS) as regard to their physico-chemical properties and acute toxicity levels. The study indicated that solubility of the dry mucilages were comparable and increased as raise in temperature. However, at all temperature levels the swelling powers were significantly higher in mucilage of OS than that of OFI. At 100% RH the moisture sorption property of OFI (95.4%) was higher than that of OS (76.9%). The pH values of both mucilages at 12% dispersions were found to be 5.57 and 5.87 for OFI and OS, respectively. The conductivity at the same concentration, 12% (w/v), of OFI was 13.12 mS/cm while that of OS was 9.31 mS/cm. The apparent viscosities at 12% (w/v) were 9,017 mPas and 10,060 mPas for OFI and OS, respectively. The apparent viscosities of the dispersions decreased with increase in shear rates which rendered the dispersions a pseudoplastic flow. The surface tension of the aqueous dispersions of OFI (28.71 mN/M) decreased significantly as compared to that of OS (39.7 mN/M). The results of the study proved that the mucilage of OS was superior to OFI mucilage for use as food and pharmaceutical excipients. Moreover, both mucilages exhibited low acute toxicity levels.
