We reported a case of severe anemia in a patient with end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) on dialysis. The anemia developed when the patient is switched from hemodialysis (HD) to peritoneal dialysis (PD) when the intra-venous erythropoietin stimulating agent (ESA, Epogen) was changed into subcutaneous injection of darbepoetin. The patient’s hemoglobin dropped 2 grams in about two months during this period. Extensive work-up including, bleeding disorders, hemolysis, iron deficiency, infections including CMV, Epstein-Bar virus, parvo-19 virus infection were unrevealing The anti-Epogen neutralizing antibodies were not measured due to unavailability. Bone marrow biopsy and aspirate were negative for infiltrations or myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). The leukocyte and platelet counts were normal. Even though anti-ESA antibodies were not measured in this case, all tentative causes of his anemia were excluded by laboratory investigations. The patient’s anemia was treated symptomatically with blood transfusion and discontinuation of the ESA treatment. He made a remarkable recovery.

同源结构域相互作用蛋白激酶2(homeodomain-interacting protein kinase 2,HIPK2)是一种存在于不同生物体,定位于细胞核内的丝氨酸/苏氨酸蛋白激酶,和共同区域转录因子相结合发挥作用。HIPK2对肿瘤细胞的作用尚未完全阐明。目前研究发现,HIPK2参与调节肿瘤抑制基因p53和诱导细胞凋亡,并且与胚胎发生和肿瘤发生发展密切相关。p53的Ser46磷酸化对激活凋亡程序有重要作用。HIPK2在一些肿瘤中出现的降调节现象以及在染色体7q32-q33的杂合性的缺失提示:HIPK2可能是一个肿瘤抑制基因。

The current manuscript makes use of the prominent iterative procedure, called the Adomian Decomposition Method (ADM), to tackle some important special differential equations. The equations of curiosity in this study are the singular equations that arise in many physical science applications. Thus, through the application of the ADM, a generalized recursive scheme was successfully derived and further utilized to obtain closed-form solutions for the models under consideration. The method is, indeed, fascinating as respective exact analytical solutions are accurately acquired with only a small number of iterations.

BACKGROUND Takotsubo cardiomyopathy(TCM),or stress-induced cardiomyopathy,is associated with adverse *** data suggest that TCM occurring in orthotopic liver transplant(OLT)recipients is associated with elevated perioperative *** To characterize the predictors of TCM in OLT recipients,using a large,multicenter pooled electronic health *** A multi-institutional database(Explorys Inc,Cleveland,OH,USA),an aggregate of de-identified electronic health record data from 26 United States healthcare systems was surveyed.A cohort of patients with a Systematized Nomenclature of Medicine-Clinical Terms of“liver transplant”between 09/2015 and 09/2020 was ***,individuals who developed a new diagnosis of TCM following OLT were ***,the risk associations with TCM among this patient population were characterized using linear *** Between 09/2015 and 09/2020,of 37718540 patients in the database,38740(0.10%)had a history of OLT(60.6%had an age between 18-65 years,58.1%female).A new diagnosis of TCM was identified in 0.3%of OLT recipients(45.5%had an age between 18-65 years,72.7%female),compared to 0.04%in non-OLT patients[odds ratio(OR):7.98,95%confidence intervals:6.62-9.63,(P<0.0001)].OLT recipients who developed TCM,compared to those who did not,were more likely to be greater than 65 years of age,Caucasian,and female(P<0.05).There was also a significant association with cardiac arrhythmias,especially ventricular arrhythmias(P<0.0001).CONCLUSION TCM was significantly more likely to occur in LT recipients vs *** age,Caucasian ethnicity,female gender,and presence of arrhythmias were significantly associated with TCM in LT recipients.
