solid oxide fuel cells based on doped cefia electrolytes offer operating temperatures of -600℃. During recent years much atten- tion was aimed at successful powder preparation with high sinter activity and high conductivity. The properties of ceria electrolyte are very sensitive to impurities introduced during powder and electrolyte fabrication. One of the most successful and commercially available processes for the production of clean powders is based on the addition of several percent metallic cations that will react with impurities and segregate into the triple points of grain boundaries. In this work the results obtained from doping of CGO20 by 2% Ca and prepared by different routes were presented. The way of introducing Ca seemed to play an important role.

The biologic antitumor necrosis factor alpha(anti-TNFα) agents have revolutionised the treatment of inflammatorybowel disease(IBD). However,some patients experience primary nonresponse,loss of response,or intolerance. Therefore,introducing a newer class of therapy with a mechanism of action that acts on different inflammatory pathways involved in IBD pathogenesis is appealing. Vedolizumab is a fully humanised monoclonal antibody that selectively targets α4β7 integrin. Based on the results of the pivotal clinical GEMINI trials,vedolizumab was approved for the treatment of adult patients with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis(UC) and Crohn's disease(CD) refractory or intolerant to either conventional therapy or TNFα inhibitors. This review describes the efficacy,safety,and tolerability of vedolizumab reported in both randomized,controlled,clinical trials and from real-world experience in patients with UC and CD in order to identify its place in treatment algorithms for IBD.

This experiment aims to test the traits responsible for the increase in yield potential of winter wheat released in Henan Province, China. seven established cultivars released in the last 20 years and three advanced lines were assayed. The results showed that grain yield was positively correlated with harvest index（HI）, kernel number per square meter, and aboveground biomass. In addition, the HI and aboveground biomass showed an increasing trend with the year of ***, we can conclude that bread wheat breeding advances during recent decades in Henan Province, China,have been achieved through an increase in HI, kernel number per square meter, and aboveground biomass. A higher d13C seems also to be involved in these advances, which suggests a progressive improvement in constitutive water use efficiency not associated with a trend towards lower stomatal conductance in the most recent genotypes. However, genetic advance Researchdoes not appear related to changes in photosynthesis rates on area basis when measured in the flag leaf or the spike,but only to a higher, whole‐spike photosynthesis. Results also indirectly support the concept that under potential yield conditions, the spike contributed more than the flag leaf to kernel formation.

Weaning is a challenging stage of pig *** undergo environmental,social and dietary changes leading to weaning stress *** order to compensate for the detrimental effects of weaning stress,antibiotics and natural extracts are used as feed additives,sometimes without fully understanding the interactions between them or even with low concentrations of mycotoxins that are frequently present in *** aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of fosfomycin(FOs),Cynara scolymus extract(CsE),deoxynivalenol(DON) and their combined administration on intestinal health of weaned *** experiment was designed as a 2×2×2 factorial arrangement with 3 factors(FOs,CsE and DON treatments),2 levels each(presence and absence) and 3 *** piglets(n=24)were randomly divided in groups to receive the different treatments,namely DON administered in diet(50 μg/kg BW),FOs administered into the drinking water(30 mg/kg BW),CsE administered in diet(15 mg/kg BW) and all their *** 15 d,the animals were euthanized and gastrointestinal tract samples were immediately taken to evaluate gastrointestinal pH,Enterobacteriaceae to lactic acid bacteria(E:L) ratio,volatile fatty acid(VFA) concentrations,disaccharidase(lactase,sucrase and maltase)activity,histology(intestinal absorptive area [IAA] and goblet cells count) and mucus ability to adhere pathogenic Escherichia *** our results,FOs and CsE treatments,individually or combined,produced a lower E:L ratio,an enhanced production of butyrate,increased disaccharidase activity(particularly maltase),and a greater IAA and goblet cells count along with an increase in pathogenic bacteria adherence to intestinal *** did not show interactions with the other factors and its administration produced decreases on VFA,disaccharidase activity and goblet cells *** conclusion,weaning piglets receiving diets containing FOs,CsE or both exhibited evident beneficial intestinal effects compared

This paper introduces an AC stochastic optimal power flow(sOPF)for the flexibility management of electric vehicle(EV)charging pools in distribution networks under *** AC sOPF considers discrete utility functions from charging pools as a compensation mechanism for eventual energy not served to their charging *** application of the AC sOPF is described where a distribution system operator(DsO)requires flexibility to each charging pool in a day-ahead time frame,minimizing the cost for flexibility while guaranteeing technical *** areas are defined for each charging pool and calculated as a function of a risk parameter involving the uncertainty of the *** show that all players can benefit from this approach,i.e.,the DsO obtains a riskaware solution,while charging pools/tasks perceive a reduction in the total energy payment due to flexibility services.

In the past,glass fiber-reinforced polymer(GFRP)-reinforcement has been successfully applied in reinforced concrete(RC)structures where corrosion resistance,electromagnetic neutrality,or cuttability were *** investigations suggest that the application of GFRP in RC structures could be advantageous in areas with seismic activity due to their high deformability and ***,especially the low modulus of elasticity of GFRP limited its wide application as GFRP-reinforced members usually exhibit considerably larger deformations under service loads than comparable steel-reinforced *** overcome the aforementioned issues,the combination of steel and GFRP reinforcement in hybrid RC sections has been investigated in the *** on this idea,this paper presents a novel concept for the predetermination of potential plastic hinges in RC frames using GFRP *** analyze the efficiency of the concept,nonlinear finite element simulations were *** results underscore the high efficiency of hybrid steel-GFRP RC sections for predetermining potential plastic hinges on RC *** results also indicate that the overall seismic behavior of RC structures could be improved by means of GFRP as both the column base shear force during the seismic activity as well as the plastic deformations after the earthquake were considerably less pronounced than in the steel-reinforced reference structure.

In the Mediterranean region,despite bamboo being an alien species that can seriously alter plant and ani-mal biocoenosis,the area occupied by bamboo plantations continues to increase,especially for the purpose to seques-ter carbon(C).However,the C dynamics in the soil-plant system when bamboo is grown outside its native area are poorly *** we investigated the C mitigation potential of the fast-growing Moso bamboo(Phyllostachys edulis)introduced in Italy for climate-change *** analyzed aboveground(AGB)and belowground(as root/shoot ratio)biomass,litter and soil organic C(sOC)at O-15-and 15-30-cm depths in a 4-year-old bamboo plantation in comparison with the former annual cropland on which the bamboo was *** have an idea of the maximum C stored at an ecosystem level,a natural forest adjacent the two sites was also *** the plantation,C accumulation as AGB was stimulated,with 14.8±3.1 Mg C ha^(-1) stored in 3 years;because thinning was done to remove culms from the first year,the mean sequestration rate was 4.9 Mg C ha^(-1) a^(-1).The sequestration rates were high but comparable to other fast-growing tree species in Italy(e.g.,Pinus nigra).sOC was significantly higher in the bamboo plantation than in the cropland only at the 0-15 cm depth,but sOC stock did not *** 4 years were not enough time for a clear increase in sOC,or the high nutrient uptake by bamboos might have depleted the soil nutrients,thus inhibiting the soil organic matter formation by *** comparison,the natural forest had significantly higher C levels in all the *** C dynamics at an ecosystem level,the bamboo plantation on the former annual cropland led to substantial C removal from the atmosphere(about 12 Mg C ha^(-1) a^(-1)).However,despite the promising C sequestration rates by bamboo,its introduction should be carefully considered due to potential ecological problems caused by this species in overexploited environments such as the Med

The Muller-Lyer illusion is a well-known distortion illusion that occurs when the spatial arrangement of inducers(i.e.,inwards-or outwards-pointing arrowheads)influences a line's perceived relative *** date,this illusion has been reported in several animal species but only in 1 teleost fish(i.e.,redtail splitfins Xenotoca eiseni),although teleost fish represent approximately 50%of vertebrate *** investigated the perception of this illusion in another teleost fish:guppies Poecilia reticulata,a species that diverged from the redtail splitfin 65 million years *** guppies were trained to select the longer between 2 lines;after meeting the learning criterion,illusory trials were *** trials were also arranged to exclude the possibility that their choices were based on potential spatial biases that relate to the illusory *** guppies'overall performance indicated that they were susceptible to the Muller-Lyer illusion,perceiving the line with the inwards-pointing arrowheads as *** performance in the control trials excluded the possibility that the subjects used the physical differences between the 2 figures as the discriminative cue in the illusory *** study suggests that sensibility to the Muller-Lyer illusion could be widespread across teleost fish and reinforces the idea that the perceptual mechanisms underlying size estimation might be similar across vertebrates.
