The high costs incurred due to attacks and the increasing number of different devices in the Internet of Things(IoT)highlight the necessity of the early detection of botnets(i.e.,a network of infected devices)to gain an advantage against ***,early botnet detection is challenging because of continuous malware mutations,the adoption of sophisticated obfuscation techniques,and the massive volume of *** literature addresses botnet detection by modeling the behavior of malware spread,the classification of malicious traffic,and the analysis of traffic *** article details ANTE,a system for ANTicipating botnEt signals based on machine learning *** system adapts itself to different scenarios and detects different types of *** autonomously selects the most appropriate Machine Learning(ML)pipeline for each botnet and improves the classification before an attack effectively *** system evaluation follows trace-driven experiments and compares ANTE results to other relevant results from the literature over four representative datasets:ISOT HTTP Botnet,CTU-13,CICDDoS2019,and *** show an average detection accuracy of 99.06%and an average bot detection precision of 100%.

Strong nonlinearity of plasmonic metamaterials can be designed near their effective plasma frequency in the epsilon-near-zero(ENZ) regime. We explore the realization of an all-optical modulator based on the Au nonlinearity using an ENZ cavity formed by a few Au nanorods inside a Si photonic waveguide. The resulting modulator has robust performance with a modulation depth of about 30 dB/μm and loss less than 0.8 dB for switching energies below 600 fJ. The modulator provides a double advantage of high mode transmission and strong nonlinearity enhancement in the few-nanorod-based design.

This paper presents a new concept to perform space-to-space Very Long Baseline Interferometry which enables the imaging of cosmic sources at high-resolution and high-sensitivity with small *** individual apertures are embarked on separate identical satellites staggered in height into Polar or Equatorial Circular Medium Earth Orbits(PECMEO orbits).These orbits are stable and allow GNSS-based on-the-fly centimeter-level relative *** operation is possible by exchanging local oscillator components and measured signals through Inter-Satellite Links(ISL).On-board cross correlation is performed at each satellite over a delay window compatible with the accuracy of the on-the-fly relative positioning and the result sent to the *** reconstruction is completed on the ground thanks to sub-millimeter baseline retrieval from accurate GNSS orbits,ISL ranging and spacecraft attitude *** application of this concept to image the Super Massive Black Hole Sgr A*is hinted.

The concept for space interferometry from Polar or Equatorial Circular Medium Earth Orbits(the PECMEO concept) is a promising way to acquire the image of the"shadow"of the event horizon of Sagittarius A*with an angular resolution of circa 5 microarcseconds. The concept is intended to decrease the size of the main reflector of the instrument to about 3 m using a precise orbit reconstruction based on Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) navigation, inter-satellite range and range-rate measurements, and data from the Attitude and Orbit Determination System (AODS). The paper provides the current progress on the definition of the subsystems required for the concept on the basis of simulations, radio regulations, and available technology. The paper proposes the requirement for the localization of the phase centre of the main reflector. The paper provides information about the visibility of GNSS satellites and the needed accuracies of the AODS. The paper proposes the frequency plan for the instrument and its Inter-Satellite Links (ISLs).The concepts for measurement of range and range-rate using ISLs (as well as for the data exchange at these ISLs) are presented. The block diagram of the interferometer is described and its sensitivity is estimated. The link budget for both ISLs is given as well as their critical components. The calculated measurement quality factors are given. The paper shows the expected performance of the sub-systems of the interferometer. The requirements for the localization of the main reflectors and the information about the availability of the GNSS satellites are based on the simulations results. The frequency plan is obtained according to the PECMEO concept and taking into account the radio regulations. The existing technology defines the accuracies of the AODS, both the link budgets and the fundamental measurement accuracies for ISLs, and the sensitivity of the instrument. Objective: To assess the temporal and geographical distribution of confirmed cases of cutaneous, mucocutaneous and visceral leishmaniasis in the Argentine Republic from 2013 to 2017. Methods: A retrospective study was carried out using data collected from the Integrated Surveillance Bulletin database of the National System of Health Surveillance. Confirmed cases of cutaneous, mucocutaneous and visceral leishmaniasis up to the 52 nd epidemiological week of each year was included. Results: In the 5 years period, 1 295 confirmed leishmaniasis cases were reported in the Argentine Republic. One thousand twenty-eight(1 028) cases corresponded to cutaneous leishmaniasis(87.10%), being the most common type of leishmaniasis. Mucocutaneous leishmaniasis was in the second place in the country with 115 cases reported, mostly in the Northwest and Northeast regions. A total of 52 individuals with visceral leishmaniasis were identified and Misiones Province was the most affected. Conclusions: It is important to analyze the temporal and geographical distribution of leishmaniasis in order to provide an adequate management and surveillance.

Grape marc(GM)from País winery is an abundant resource with potential use in animal feed in Chile,but information on its chemical composition,bioactive compounds and enteric methane(CH4)emissions is not *** conditions could change the chemical composition and bioactive compounds of País GM,and affect CH4 ***,the objectives of this study were to assess the effects of drying conditions on the chemical composition and bioactive compounds of País GM,and rumen fermentation parameters and CH4 *** first experiment evaluated the effects of three drying conditions(freeze-drying,and oven drying at 40℃/72-h and 60℃/48-h)on the contents of bioactive compounds,antioxidant capacity and chemical composition of País *** second experiment evaluated and compared rumen fermentation parameters and CH4 output of dried País ***-dried País GM had the highest concentrations of phenolic compounds(p=0.001),but oven-dried País GM(60℃/48-h)showed the highest content of proanthocyanidins(p=0.043).Ash(p=0.003),ether extract(p=0.042)and non-fiber carbohydrate(p=0.033)contents were higher in oven-dried País GM,as opposed to neutral detergent fiber or acid detergent *** drying GM at 60℃/48-h reduced dry matter disappearance(p<0.001),and gas production(p=0.001),but also showed lower CH_(4)production(p<0.001)and yield(p=0.001)as compared to freeze dried *** suggest that oven-drying is useful to conserve GM chemical value,extend its’shelf-life and allows use of País GM as ruminant feed with potential positive environmental effects on enteric CH4 emissions but further in vitro and in vivo studies with GM as a dietary ingredient are required.

We present herein the implementation of pH-responsiveness into a new polycationic macrobicyclic structure,namely what we have termed the“red cage”.The hydrolytically-stable cryptand-like compound has been prepared in a relatively high yield in aqueous media by a kinetically-controlled hydrazone-exchange reaction,promoted by the unusual high stability of the new hydrazone CvN bonds *** organic media the macrobicycle was found not able to complex model aromatic *** buffered aqueous solutions,as a comparison,the“red cage”was found able to recognize them,but the binding was observed to be more efficient in acidic form of the cyclophane compared with its conjugate base.

A Concise Joint Transmit/Receive Antenna Selection Algorithm

For reducing the computational complexity of the problem of joint transmit and receive antenna selection in Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO) systems, we present a concise joint transmit/receive antenna selection algorithm. Using a novel partition of the channel matrix, we drive a concise formula. This formula enables us to augment the channel matrix in such a way that the computational complexity of the greedy Joint Transmit/Receive Antenna Selection (JTRAS) algorithm is reduced by a factor of 4n L , where n L is the number of selected antennas. A decoupled version of the proposed algorithm is also proposed to further improve the efficiency of the JTRAS algorithm, with some capacity degradation as a tradeoff. The computational complexity and the performance of the proposed approaches are evaluated mathematically and verified by computer simulations. The results have shown that the proposed joint antenna selection algorithm maintains the capacity perormance of the JTRAS algorithm while its computational complexity is only 1/4n L of that of the JTRAS algorithm. The decoupled version of the proposed algorithm further reduces the computational complexity of the joint antenna selection and has better performance than other decoupling-based algorithms when the selected antenna subset is small as compared to the total number of antennas.

Antibacterial extract-coated catheters are promising alternatives to their conventional counterparts,but their hemocompatibility and thermal stability must be *** bacteria have developed resistance to conventional ***,the minimum inhibitory but non-hemolytic concentration(MIC-NH)and the thermal stability of Larrea tridentata(***)and Origanum vulgare(***)extract-coated catheters were ***,plasma pretreatment was performed to enhance the extract ***,the extract-coated catheters prevent Staphylococcus aureus colonization without causing hemolysis by using *** and *** extracts at MIC-NH(5000 and 2500μg ml~(-1),respectively).Moreover,it has been discovered that the extract coating and plasma treatment improved the thermal stability and the extract adhesion,***,this study provides evidence of alternative antibacterial but non-hemolytic extract-coated catheters.
