Managing inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)is becoming increasingly complex and personalized,considering th. advent of new advanced th.rapies with.distinct mech.nisms of *** mucosal h.aling(Mh.is a pivotal th.rapeutic goal in IBD management and can prevent IBD progression and reduce flares,h.spitalization,surgery,intestinal damage,and colorectal *** proactive disease and th.rapy assessment is essential to ach.eve better control of intestinal inflammation,even if subclinical,to alter th. natural course of *** monitoring of fecal calprotectin(FC)levels and interval endoscopic evaluations are cornerstones for evaluating response/remission to advanced th.rapies targeting IBD,assessing Mh.and detecting subclinical ***,we comment on th. article by Ish.da et al Moreover,th.s editorial aimed to review th. role of FC and endoscopic scores in predicting Mh.in patients with.***,we intend to present some evidence on th. role of th.se markers in future targets,such.as h.stological and transmural *** prospective multicenter studies with.a stricter Mh.criterion,standardized endoscopic and h.stopath.logical analyses,and virtual ch.omoscopy,potentially including artificial intelligence and oth.r biomarkers,are desired.

Meth.ne cracking is considered a bridge tech.ology between gray and green h.drogen production *** th.s work an experimental study of meth.ne cracking in molten tin is *** tests were conducted in a quartz reactor(i.d.=1.5 cm,L=20 cm)with.capillary injection,varying temperature(950–1070℃),inlet meth.ne flow rate(30–60 mL·min^(-1))and tin h.igh.(0–20 cm).Th. influence of th. residence time in th. tin and in th. h.adspace on meth.ne conversion and on carbon morph.logy was *** conversions obtained in tin and in th. empty reactor were measured and compared with.results of detailed kinetic simulations(CRECK).Furth.rmore,an expression of a global kinetic constant for meth.ne conversion in tin was also *** h.gh.st conversion(65%at Q_(0)=30 mL·min^(-1) and t=1070℃)is obtained for h.mogeneous gas ph.se reaction due to th. long residence time(70 s),th. presence of tin leads to a sh.rp decrease of residence time(1 s),obtaining a conversion of 35%at 1070℃,th.s meaning th.t tin owns a role in th. *** ch.racterization(scanning electron microscopy,Raman)reported a ch.nge in carbon toward sh.et-like structures and an increase of th. carbon structural order in th. presence of molten tin media.

Convexification of h.brid AC-DC Optimal Power Flow with.Line-Commutated Converters

Line-commutated converter (LCC)-based h.gh.voltage DC (h.DC) systems h.ve been integrated with.bulk AC power grids for interregional transmission of renewable power. Th. nonlinear LCC model brings additional nonconvexity to optimal power flow (OPF) of h.brid AC-DC power grids. A convexification meth.d for th. LCC station model could address such.nonconvexity but h.s rarely been discussed. We devise an equivalent reformulation for classical LCC station models th.t facilitates second-order cone convex relaxation for th. OPF of LCC-based AC-DC power grids. We also propose sufficient conditions for exactness of convex relaxation with.its proof. Equivalence of th. proposed LCC station models and properties, exactness, and effectiveness of convex relaxation are verified using four numerical simulations. Simulation results demonstrate a globally optimal solution of th. original OPF can be efficiently obtained from relaxed model.

Th. application of math.matical modeling to biological fluids is of utmost importance, as it h.s diverse applicationsin medicine. Th. peristaltic mech.nism plays a crucial role in understanding numerous biological flows. In th.spaper, we present a th.oretical investigation of th. double diffusion convection in th. peristaltic transport of aPrandtl nanofluid th.ough.an asymmetric tapered ch.nnel under th. combined action of th.rmal radiation andan induced magnetic field. Th. equations for th. current flow scenario are developed, incorporating relevantassumptions, and considering th. effect of viscous dissipation. Th. impact of th.rmal radiation and doublediffusion on public h.alth.is of particular interest. For instance, infrared radiation tech.iques h.ve been used totreat various skin-related diseases and can also be employed as a measure of th.rmoth.rapy for some bones toenh.nce blood circulation, with.radiation increasing blood flow by approximately 80%. To solve th. governingequations, we employ a numerical meth.d with.th. aid of symbolic software such.as Math.matica and *** velocity, magnetic force function, pressure rise, temperature, solute (species) concentration, and nanoparticlevolume fraction profiles are analytically derived and graph.cally displayed. Th. results outcomes are compared with.h. findings of limiting situations for verification.

Th. study of th. relationsh.p between animal stress and personality for free-ranging animals is limited and provides contrasting *** perception of stressors by an individual may vary due to its personality,and certain personality traits may h.lp individuals to better cope with.*** non-invasive infrared th.rmograph.(IRT),we investigated th. link between ph.siological and beh.vioral components expressed during an acute stress event by free-ranging Fremont’s squirrels(Tamiasciurus fremonti).We expected th.t,during th. acute stress event of being approach.d by th. research.r,individuals th.t sh.wed a fast pace-of-life syndrome(bolder,more active,and less social/more aggressive)based on an arena test would exh.bit stronger sympath.tic-adrenal-medullary system reactivity sh.wing a more intense stress-induced h.perth.rmia(h.gh.core body temperature and low periph.ral temperature)th.n individuals with.a slow pace of life(sh.,less active,and more social).We successfully employed IRT tech.ology to images of Fremont’s squirrels with.identification of th. individuals’body parts(eye,nose,ear,h.nd foot).h.wever,we found no support for our ***’body surface temperatures told us more about a squirrel’s external environment and less about th. th.rmal state of th. body in th.t environment following a stressful *** studies need to assess h.w to make IRT effective and efficient in th. field and improve its performance in studying th. relationsh.ps between ph.siology and personality in wildlife.
