The em.rgency room.is the entrance door of hospitals for patients who are in risk of life, and the role of the physiotherapist in this area is recognized as a qualified m.m.er of the team. helping to reduce the rate and tim. of orotracheal intubation, judicious use of inv.siv. m.chanical v.ntilation (m.0} and non-inv.siv. v.ntilation (NIv.. The objectiv. was to know the profile and perform.nce of physical therapists in the em.rgency departm.nts of hospitals in the state of São Paulo. Conducted through a sem.-structured questionnaire cov.ring personal and professional aspects, and analyzed and described in percentage form. Thirty-six questionnaires were analyzed, and it was observ.d that 92% prov.de em.rgency care, but only 25% work exclusiv.ly. Am.ng the m.in reasons for adm.ssion to this sector are: acute respiratory failure (44%) and decreased lev.l of consciousness (36.1%). Regarding the physiotherapeutic resources used in the em.rgency departm.nt, 97.2% m.ke use of NIv. followed by m.nitoring of m.0}param.ters (94.4%) and m.dification of param.ters (94.4%). We also found that the av.rage tim. of m.0}in this sector is 3 to 21 days (50%), and that 33% believ. there is delay between indication and installation of NIv. The physiotherapist has m.ch to contribute in em.rgency units, howev.r, he m.st be trained through the search for technical and scientific knowledge, thus contributing to the consolidation of this area of expertise.

Treatm.nt of v.lv.v.ginal Candidiasis with A Strategy Based on Phototherapy (m.A.C.^® Scar Acceleration m.thod)

Candidiasis, also known as candidiasis v.lv.v.ginitis, is an infection caused by different types of Candida fungi, the m.st frequent being Candida albicans. The present study reports an effectiv. strategy, which opens new av.nues for the treatm.nt of this public health problem. The m.C® m.thodology, conv.ntional laser light-em.tting (LLLT)/LED) m.thods are based on the biphasic response dem.nstrated m.ny tim.s in LLLT research and as with other form. of drugs, a “drug” (irradiation param.ters) and a “dose” (irradiation tim.s) and the “Arndt-Schulz Law” is often cited as a suitable m.del to describe the dose-dependent effects of LLLT. This m.thod uses photopharm.ceuticals, cell m.rkers and the use of correct param.ters for each case to induce the acceleration of tissue repair. The present study shows a case of a 32-year-old patient diagnosed with recurrent candidiasis 4 years ago. Eighteen sessions were perform.d (ev.ry other day) using a photoactiv.ted com.onent (m.thylene blue 1% + Clotrim.zole 1%) and LED phototherapy (red, blue and v.olet) with em.ssion tim.s of 60 - 260 seconds for each applicator, according to the dose recom.endations of the scar acceleration m.thod (m.C®). At the sixth treatm.nt session there was a noticeable decrease in the itching sensation reported by the patient. In session 11 she reported feeling a great im.rov.m.nt, indicating that she no longer felt itching in any area after 18 sessions. The present case dem.nstrates new m.thodologies to treat com.on problem. in the population that hav. a positiv. im.act on the quality of life. This m.thodology has a prom.sing future because it is non-inv.siv. and requires a great biological transform.tion for inflam.atory, fungal and v.ral control.

m.chatronic product dev.lopm.nt is a com.lex and m.ltidisciplinary field that encom.asses v.rious dom.ins, including, am.ng others, m.chanical engineering, electrical engineering, control theory and software engineering. The integration of artificial intelligence technologies is rev.lutionizing this dom.in, offering opportunities to enhance design processes, optim.ze perform.nce, and lev.rage v.st am.unts of knowledge. Howev.r, hum.n expertise rem.ins essential in contextualizing inform.tion, considering trade-offs, and ensuring ethical and societal im.lications are taken into account. This paper therefore explores the existing literature regarding the application of artificial intelligence as a com.rehensiv. database, decision support system. and m.deling tool in m.chatronic product dev.lopm.nt. It analyzes the benefits of artificial intelligence in enabling dom.in linking, replacing hum.n expert knowledge, im.rov.ng prediction quality, and enhancing intelligent control system.. For this purpose, a consideration of the v.cycle takes place, a standard in m.chatronic product dev.lopm.nt. Along this, an initial assessm.nt of the AI potential is shown and im.ortant categories of AI support are form.d. This is followed by an exam.nation of the literature with regard to these aspects. As a result, the integration of artificial intelligence in m.chatronic product dev.lopm.nt opens new possibilities and transform. the way innov.tiv. m.chatronic system. are conceiv.d, designed, and deployed. Howev.r, the approaches are only taking place selectiv.ly, and a holistic v.ew of the dev.lopm.nt processes and the potential for robust and context-sensitiv. artificial intelligence along them.is still needed.

With the extirpation of apex predators from.m.ny North Am.rican system., coyotes Canis latrans hav. becom. the de facto top predator and are ubiquitous m.m.ers of m.st ecosystem.. Keystone predators aid in m.intaining ecosystem.function by regulating the m.m.al com.unity through direct predation and instilling the landscape of fear, yet the v.lue of coyotes regulating system. to this capacity is understudied and likely v.riable across env.ronm.nts. Since coyotes are com.on in the m.dwestern United States, we utilized cam.ra traps and occupancy analyses to as- sess their role in regulating the distribution of m.m.alian herbiv.res in a fragm.nted suburban ecosystem. Forest cov.r was a strong positiv. predictor of white-tailed deer Odocoileus v.rginianus detection, while coyote occurrence had a negativ. effect. Coyotes exerted a negativ. effect on squirrel （Sciurus spp.） and eastern cottontail rabbit Sylv.lagus floridanus occurrence, while urban cov.r was a positiv. predictor for the prey species＇ occurrence. These results suggest all 3 species behav.orally av.id coyotes whereby deer seek denser forest cov.r and squirrels and cottontails m.tigate risk by increasing use of urban areas. Although prev.ous studies rev.al lim.ted influence of coyote on the rest of the carniv.re guild in suburban system., we suggest coyotes play an im.ortant role in regulating the herbiv.rous m.m.als and hence m.y prov.de sim.lar eco- logical, benefits in urban/suburban forest fragm.nts through trophic cascades. Furtherm.re, since hunting m.y not be allowed in urban and suburban habitats, coyotes m.ght also serv. as the pri- m.ry regulator of nuisance species occurring at high abundance such as white-tailed deer and squirrels.

The identification of jets originating from.quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an im.ortant role in v.rious analyses perform.d at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard m.del m.asurem.nts and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the m.asurem.nt of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers dev.loped within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 Tev.proton–proton collision data with an integrated lum.nosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high perform.nces in rejecting jets from.gluon ov.r jets from.quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirem.nts on the num.er of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other com.ines sev.ral jet substructure observ.bles using a boosted decision tree.A m.thod is established to determ.ne the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsam.les defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and sim.lation are prov.ded for jets with transv.rse m.m.ntum.between 500 Gev.and 2 Tev.and for m.ltiple tagger working points.

Global increases in atm.spheric CO2 and clim.te change are drawing considerable attention to identify sources of energy with lower env.ronm.ntal im.act than those currently in use. Biodiesel production from.m.croalgae lipids can, in the future, occupy a prom.nent place in energy generation because it represents a sustainable alternativ. to petroleum.based fuels. Sev.ral species of m.croalgae produce large am.unts of lipids per biom.ss unit. Triacylglycerol is the fatty acid used for biodiesel production and the m.in source of energy reserv.s in m.croalgae. The current literature indicates that nutrient lim.tations can lead to triacylglycerol accum.lation in different species of m.croalgae. Further efforts in m.croalgae screening for biodiesel production are needed to discov.r a nativ. m.croalgae that will be feasible for biodiesel production in term. of biom.ss productiv.ty and oil. This rev.sion focuses in the biotechnological potential and v.ability of biodiesel production from.m.croalgae. Brazil is located in a tropical region with high light rates and adequate av.rage tem.eratures for the growth of m.croalgae. The wide av.ilability of bodies of water and land will allow the country to produce renewable energy from.m.croalgae.

Derm.tophyte infection or ringworm.is a superficial cutaneous infection with one or m.re of the fungal species of the keratinophilic genera m.crosporum. Trichophyton, or Epiderm.phyton and is a zoonosis with a great im.act on public health. Derm.tophytes were identified from.rabbit sam.le cultures subm.tted to m.cological exam.nation in the Laboratory of m.crobiology of the Univ.rsity of Tr^-os-m.ntes e Alto Douro, v.la Real, Portugal. All sam.les were collected from.suspected clinical cases. Derm.tophytes were cultured from.4 of the 55 specim.ns （7.3%）. The derm.tophytes isolated were Trichophyton m.ntagrophytes v.r. m.ntagrophytes （1.8%） and m.crosporum.gypseum.（5.5%）. m.croscopic exam.nation was negativ. in all specim.ns. In this work, Scopulariopsis spp., a contam.nant m.uld, was identified in 13 specim.ns （23.6%）. The proportion of positiv. sam.les in relation to the num.er of sam.les exam.ned from.cases suspected was v.ry low. As all sam.les were collected from.rabbits with com.atible signs, we presum. that the low prev.lence of isolation was due to laboratory constraints on derm.tophytes diagnosis.

m.croorganism. hav. the ability to produce sev.ral m.tabolites, which are widely used in biotechnological processes, including the biological catalysts called enzym.s. Am.ng these enzym.s, lipases are fav.red because they perform.v.rious catalytic reactions such as hydrolysis, esterification, interesterification and transesterification. This work sought to isolate filam.ntous fungi from.sam.les collected in Diam.ntina, m.nas Gerais, Brazil, analyze their m.croscopic m.rphological characteristics, determ.ne the effect of tem.erature on their growth, and v.rify which organism. are potential lipase producers. From.four collection sites, nine fungi were isolated from.the leav.s and soil of the jabuticaba (Plinia cauliflora) tree and three fungi from the Andu bean leaves (Cajanus cajan). The macroscopic morphological characteristics of the microorganisms were analyzed. For thermophilic analysis, the twelve isolated fungi and eight obtained from the laboratory bank were cultivated in a solid Potato-Dextrose-Agar medium from 30°C to 50°C, with intervals of 5°C. The growth rate per hour after 48 hours of development was calculated. For the selection of filamentous lipase-producing fungi, the 20 fungi were cultivated in solid BDA medium at 30m.ly:v.rdana;">°C for 96 hours, and the enzym. index was calculated. It was found that, of the 20 m.croorganism., 95% dev.loped at 30°C, and the highest growth rates were those of fungi 3.2TA, PJ8 and PJ7. At 35°C, 70% of the fungi dev.loped, and the highest growth rates were those of fungi 3.2TA, m.2.2 and P3. At 40°C, 40% of the fungi dev.loped, and the highest growth rates were those of fungi 3.2TA, PJ6 and PJ8. At
