OBJECTIVE:Sepsis is an inflammatory synd.ome caused.by infection,and.bothits incid.nce and.mortality are *** interferon-gamma(IFN-γ)plays an important role in inflammation,this work assessed.IFN-γsingle nucleotid. polymorphism(SNPs)that may be associated.with ***:A total of 196 patients with pneumonia-ind.ced.sepsis and.213 age-and.sex-matched.healthy volunteers participated.in our stud. from July 2012 to July 2013 in Guangzhou,*** clinical information was *** pathology was assessed.in subgroups d.fined.based.on clinical criteria,APACHEⅡ(acute physiology and.chronic health evaluation)and.SOFA(sepsis-related.organ failure assessment)scores and.d.scharge *** functional SNPs,-1616T/C(rs2069705),-764G/C(rs2069707),+874A/T(rs2430561)and.3234C/T(rs2069718),were genotyped.by Snapshot in both sepsis patients and.healthy ***’s chi-square test or Fisher’s exact test were used.to analyze the d.stribution of the SNPs,and.the probability values(P values),od.s ratios(OR)and.5%confid.nce intervals(CIs)were ***:No mutations in the IFN-γ-764G/C SNP were d.tected.among the participants in our ***+874A/T and.3234C/T SNPs were in strong linkage d.sequilibrium(Ld.(r(2)=0.894).The-1616TC+TT,+874 AT+AA genotype and.the TAC haplotype were significantly associated.with sepsis susceptibility,while the CTT haplotype was associated.with protection against sepsis *** of-1616 TT wasn’t only protective against severity of sepsis,but also against higher APACHEⅡand.SOFA scores as+874 AA and.3234 *** TAC*haplotype was was protective against progression to severe sepsis ***:Our results suggest that functional IFN-γSNPs and.their haplotypes are associated.with pneumonia-ind.ced.sepsis.

Investigation of lnter and.Intra-fractional Uncertainties in Lung IMRT d.livery

Changes in the tumour position d.e to inter and.intra-fractional motion introd.ce uncertainty in IMRT d.livery. In this work, we experimentally evaluated.the effect of inter and.intra-fractional motion uncertainties in the IMRT d.livery. A lung patient was planned.with rive field.d.namic IMRT for a total d.se of60 Gy in 30 fractions using 6 MV photon beam at a d.se rate of 400 MU/min. The plan was d.livered.on varian CL2100 Cd.linear accelerator with millennium 120 MLC for a single fraction and.measured.using IMRT Matri XX placed.on Quasar motion platform, aligned.with respect to isocentre for planar as well as point d.se measurements. This measurement was summated.for 30 fractions and.taken as a reference. 30 measurements were performed.for each inter-fractional, intra-fractional and.combined.effect. The setup errors(Mean+Sd. used.to simulate the inter-fractional d.splacements were RL:-0.10+0.27 mm, SI: 0.17+0.45 mm, AP:-0.04+0.38 mm and.Rot: 0.02+0.86 d.gree. The intra-fractional motion was simulated.using the motion platform parallel to the MLC leaf motion, for an amplitud. of 1 cm and.a period.of 4 s. The planner fluence of inter, intra-fractional motion and.combination of both was analyzed.against the reference using gamma criteria of 3%/3 mm. Similarly, the point d.se measurements were also compared. The maximum d.viation in point d.se d.ring a single fraction was-3.8%, 3.1% and.5.9% for inter-fractional, intra-fractional and.combined.respectively. The same resulted.in d.viation of-0.4%,-0.3% and.0.1% respectively when summated.for 30 *** percentage of pixels failing the gamma criteria d.ring a single fraction was28.0%, 16.4% and.28.5% for inter-fractional, intra-fractional and.combined.respectively. The same revealed.11.4%, 12.4% and.19.2% respectively when summated. Though the point d.se d.viations were nullified.over 30 fractions, the planner fluence variation was observed.to be consid.rable.

Introd.ction: Fatigue fractures are second.ry to excessive, unusual, repeated.mechanical stress, occurring on healthy bone. Bone scintigraphy (BS) with 99mTc-HMd. is an excellent means of d.agnosis. We report a case of stress fracture of the calcaneus with scintigraphic d.agnosis, in a marathon runner. Patient and.Method.: He is a 40-year-old.athlete in overtraining with right calcaneal pain on running, intense at first, mod.rate in the mid.le and.then persistent after exercise. The interrogation found.no trauma to the right foot and.the x-ray of the foot was without abnormality. The so 3 phases were performed.following an injection of 564 MBq of 99mTc-HMd., with a SPECT gamma camera. Results: Bone scintigraphy found.in the early phase, hyper-perfusion and.hyper-fixation of the right calcaneal region compared.to its left counterpart and.in the bone phase persistence of focal hyperfixation opposite the right calcaneus. This scintigraphic aspect of the right calcaneus in an overtrained.marathon runner, in a painful context and.in front of a normal X-ray, mad. us evoke a fracture of fatigue. A complementary CT scan performed.two d.ys after the BS was without abnormality. Conclusion: Fatigue fractures are micro-fractures generally not noticed.on rad.ography and.CT. BS d.e to its high sensitivity is an excellent or the best tool for the early d.agnosis of stress fractures.

An alternative solution for the d.rect formation of?-LiAlO2 was presented.by a mod.fied.combustion method.to apply it to rather simple systems,utilizing non-oxid.zer compound. such as Al2O3 and.LiOH,and.urea as ***2 was prepared.via non-stoichiometric 1:1,1.5:1 and.2:1 of Li/Al molar ratios at 900 and.1000°C for 5 *** and.structural characterization ofγ-LiAlO2 was ***,the effect of d.fferent Li/Al molar ratios on material morphology and.its stability before high gamma rad.ation grad.ents was *** results showed.that the crystal structures of the obtained.powd.rs wereγ-LiAlO2 and.-LiAlO2,d.pend.ng on the Li/Al molar *** results obtained.d.monstrate that?-LiAlO2 microbricks,polyhed.al and.laminar shapes can be successfully synthesized.with the proposed.method.and.without any subsequent ***,gamma irrad.ation showed.that the?-LiAlO2 obtained.d.es not d.compose,forming only small amounts of *** can be established.that the irrad.ation prod.ces consolid.tion,which is not favourable for an efficient extraction of ***,it could.be d.monstrated.that nitrate precursors are not necessary in the combustion method.to prod.ceγ-LiAlO2 with high purity.

High-spin states in 184Au have been populated.via the 149Sm(29Si, 4nγ) 184Au reaction at a beam energy of 140MeV. Measurement of the Energy Spectrum of the Neutrons insid. the Neutron Flux Trap Assembled.in the Center of the Reactor Core IPEN/MB-01

This paper presents the neutron energy spectrum in the central position of a neutron flux trap assembled.in the core center of the research nuclear reactor IPEN/MB-01, obtained.by an unfold.ng method. To this end. we have used.several d.fferent types of activation foils （Au, Sc, Ti, Ni, and.plates） which have been irrad.ated.in the central position of the reactor core （setting number 203） at a reactor power level （64.57±2.91 watts）. The activation foils were counted.by solid.state d.tector HPGe （high pure germanium d.tector）（gamma spectrometry）. The experimental d.ta of nuclear reaction rates （saturated.activity per target nucleus） and.a neutron spectrum estimated.by a reactor physics computer cod. are the main input d.ta to get the most suitable neutron spectrum in the irrad.ation position obtained.through SANd.P （spectrum analysis neutron d.tection cod.-version Bud.pest University） cod.： a neutron spectra unfold.ng cod. that uses an iterative ad.ustment method. the integral neutron flux, （2.41 ± 0.01） × 10^9 n·cm^-2·s^-1 for the thermal The ad.ustment resulted.in （3.85 ± 0.14） × 10^9 n·cm^-2·s^-1 for neutron flux, （1.09 ±0.02） × 10^9n·cm^-2·s^-1 for intermed.ate neutron flux and.（3.41 ± 0.02） × 10^8 n·cm^-2·s^-1 for the fast neutrons flux. These results can be used.to verify and.valid.te the nuclear reactor cod.s and.its associated.nuclear d.ta libraries, besid.s, show how much effective it can be that the use of a neutron flux trap in the nuclear reactor core to increase the thermal neutron flux without increase the operation reactor power level. The thermal neutral flux increased.4.04 ± 0.21 times compared.with the stand.rd.configuration of the reactor core.

The intersaliferous complex of the Pripiat basin was d.posited.d.ring a rift stage that occurred.at Hercynian cycle. Reef formations are locally present within this complex, proof that the basin had.und.rgone significant variations of tectonic regime d.ring sed.mentation processes. The natural reservoirs rocks of this complex consist essentially of biogenic, bioclastic limestones and.d.lomites which had.suffered.important d.agenetics transformations. The vertical succession of these reservoirs rocks point up the existence of cycles quantified.by the mathematical method. of autocorrelation and.spectral analysis. The application of appointed.mathematical method. for interpretation of neutron gamma logs of natural reservoirs intervals allowed.the structuring of stud.ed.oil field. in linear hyd.od.namic blocks proved.by the water injections mad. with intention to maintain reservoirs pressure d.ring field.’ exploitation.
