AIM To investigate the impact of coronary artery disease in a cohort of patients resuscitated from cardiac arrest with non-diagnostic *** From march 2004 to February 2016, 203 consecutive patients resuscitated from in or out-of-hospital sudden cardiac arrest and non-diagnostic post-resuscitation electrocardiogram(defined as ST segment elevation or pre-sumably new left bundle branch block) whounderwent invasive coronary angiogram during hospitalization were included. For purpose of analysis and comparison, patients were classified in two groups: Initial shockable rhythm(ventricular tachycardia or ventricular fibrillation; n = 148, 72.9%) and initial non-shockable rhythm(n = 55, 27.1%). Baseline characteristics, coronary angiogram findings including Syntax Score and long-term survival rates were compared. RESULTS Sudden cardiac arrest was witnessed in 95.2% of cases, 66.7% were out-of-hospital patients and 72.4% were male. There were no significant differences in baseline characteristics between groups except for higher mean age(68.1 years vs 61 years, p = 0.001) in the nonshockable rhythm group. Overall 5-year mortality of the resuscitated patients was 37.4%. patients with non-shockable rhythms had higher mortality(60% vs 29.1%, p pital discharge based on cerebral performance category score(CpC 1-2: 32.7% vs 53.4%, p = 0.02). Although there were no significant differences in global burden of coronary artery disease defined by Syntax Score(mean Syntax Score: 10.2 vs 10.3, p = 0.96) there was a trend towards a higher incidence of acute coronary lesions in patients with shockable rhythm(29.7% vs 16.4%, p = 0.054). There was also a higher need for ad-hoc percutaneous coronary intervention in this group(21.9% vs 9.1%, p = 0.03). Ancellotta and Aspirant Bouchet,Vitis vinifera L.,are wines with a high anthocyanin concentration that have been used to increase color in high-quality red *** work was focused on the encapsulation of Ancellotta(ANCE)and Aspirant Bouchet(AB)wines by spray drying and obtaining wine powders(Wp)with a high concentration of phenolic *** drying conditions were optimized and the phenolic compounds in the Wp were *** Wp were evaluated for moisture content,water activity,color parameters,anthocyanins,and flavan-3-ols *** was no significant difference in total anthocyanins content of ANCE and AB Wp when inlet air temperature increased from 135 to 145°C with a fixed carrier concentration of 8%(w/w)but a decrease in the total anthocyanins was observed when carrier concentration increased to 10%(w/w).Regarding color evaluation,ANCE and AB Wp corresponded to the fourth quadrant of color space CIELAB indicating blue-red color(348–357°),characteristic of anthocyanins and *** general,the values of hue angle were not affected at higher percentages of carrier agent,consequently,an increase in the ratio carrier-wine did not lead to a dilution of *** results indicate that inlet air temperature(in the selected range)did not influence the anthocyanin profile in the Wp and has allowed for optimization of the conditions to obtain phenolic-rich colored powders with potential use as natural antioxidants and food colorants.

Background: To identify risk factors associated with pneumothorax and to determine the prognosis of cystic fibrosis patients following an episode of pneumothorax in the city of Madrid. Methods: Records of 17 patients (10 males;age 24.4 ± 17.5 years) and 32 controls, and a total of 44 pneumothorax episodes were studied. We have analyzed the characteristics of the pneumothorax, the microbiology, the lung function tests (LFT) and the prognosis of patients. Two controls with cystic fibrosis and without pneumothorax matched for sex and age were selected. Results: Eight male and three female patients with pneumothorax were older than 18 years. The mean age of the first pneumothorax episode was 18.3 years (±9.6). The group with pneumothorax had a mean body mass index of 19.2(±2.42 kg/m2) and in the control group it was 26.5 (±1.98 kg/m2). pseudomonas aeruginosa was present in fourteen patients (82%) with pneumothorax and in eleven patients (34.4%) in the control group (p = 0.002). pneumothorax predominantly occurred in the coldest seasons. There was a significant drop in both forced vital capacity (FVC) and forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1) after the pneumothorax. In the same way, FEV1 and FVC were greater in the control group. Six patients (35.4%) with pneumothorax and two patients in the control group have died (p patients with pneumothorax are more likely to have p. aeruginosa colonization. LFT drop after an episode of pneumohorax. patients with pneumothorax have worse LFT than patients without pneumothorax. Mortality is greater in patients with pneumothorax.

AIM: To determine the clinical reasons for conversion to everolimus(EVL) and long-term outcomes in heart transplant(HT) ***: A retrospective 12-mo study has been carried out in 14 Spanish centres to assess the efficacy and safety of conversion to EVL in maintenance HT ***: Two hundred and twenty-two patients were included(mean age: 53 ± 10.5 years; mean time from HT: 8.1 ± 4.5 years). The most common reasons for conversion were nephrotoxicity(30%), chronic allograft vasculopathy(20%) and neoplasms(17%). The doses and mean levels of EVL at baseline(conversion to EVL) and after one year were 1.3 ± 0.3 and 1.2 ± 0.6 mg/d and 6.4 ± 3.4 and 5.6 ± 2.5 ng/mL, respectively. The percentage of patients receiving calcineurin inhibitors(CNIs) at baseline and on the final visit was 95% and 65%, respectively. The doses and mean levels of CNIs decreased between baseline and month 12 from 142.2 ± 51.6 to 98.0 ± 39.4 mg/d(p p pectively, for cyclosporine, and from 2.9 ± 1.8 to 2.6 ± 1.9 mg/d and from 8.3 ± 4.0 to 6.5 ± 2.7 ng/mL(p = 0.011) for tacrolimus. In the subgroup of patients converted because of nephrotoxicity, creatinine clearance increased from 34.9 ± 10.1 to 40.4 ± 14.4 mL/min(p pisodes of acute rejection in 24 patients(11%). The most frequent adverse events were oedemas(12%), infections(9%) and gastrointestinal problems(6%). EVL was suspended in 44 patients(20%). Since the database was closed at the end of the study, no further followup data is ***: Conversion to EVL in maintenance HT recipients allowed minimisation or suspension of the CNIs, with improved kidney function in the patients with nephrotoxicity, after 12 mo.

比较了Engao海湾海水(大西洋)和丘布特河水(阿根廷的巴塔哥尼亚)中腐殖质的结构。这些腐殖质被分离、纯化后,通过元素分析法,核磁共振法(13C和1H谱),红外光谱法,紫外吸收法和荧光法等对其结构特性进行了分析鉴定,并以氮含量、氧含量、H/C比、C/N比、红外波段中氮和羧基官能团含量、核磁共振吸收谱线中官能团的斜率系数、250和365nm处的吸收比率(E2/E3)、激发—发射模型和荧光量子产率等指标对二者的相似性进行比较。Engao海湾和丘布特河水中的腐殖质主要由黄腐酸组成。尽管它们具有一定的相似性,都含有较高的直链脂肪碳含量(低芳香烃碳含量),但其差异性也十分显著,二者所含蛋白质和羧酸不同。Engano海湾腐殖质主要来自于水生的植物或动物;丘布特河腐殖质也同样来自于水生动植物,但是也有证据表明它可能来自土壤黄腐酸。

The paper analyzes oceanographic and meteorological data registered by an oceanographic buoy in the Mexican pacific. In 2005 the marine Science and Limnology Institute of the National Autonomous University of Mexico moored an oceanographic buoy off the coast of Socorro Island in the Mexican pacific that transmitted data hourly from July 11, 2005 to November 15, 2007. The buoy recorded oceanographic (current speed and direction, conductivity, temperature, salinity, density, turbidity, pH, fluorescence, sea level, waves, and tides) and meteorological (wind speed and direction, temperature, relative humidity, and pressure) data. Linear spectral analysis and wavelet analysis revealed annual, seasonal, and biweekly frequencies, as well as frequencies associated with the main tidal components, and those corresponding with inertial oscillations and Madden-Julian oscillations.
