Purpose:This paper presents an update of the 2011 Wheelchair Compendium of Physical Activities designed for wheelchair users and is referred to as the 2024 Wheelchair *** Wheelchair Compendium aims to curate existing knowledge of the energy expenditure for wheelchair physical activities(PAs).Methods:A systematic review of the published energy expenditure of PA for wheelchair users was completed between 2011 and May *** added these data to the 2011 Wheelchair Compendium data that was compiled previously in a systematic review through ***:A total of 47 studies were included,and 124 different wheelchair PA reported energy expenditure values ranging from 0.8 metabolic equivalents for wheelchair users(filing papers,light effort)to 11.8 metabolic equivalents for wheelchair users(Nordic sit skiing).Conclusion:In introducing the updated 2024 Wheelchair Compendium,we hope to bridge the resource gap and challenge the prevailing narratives that inadvertently exclude wheelchair users from physical fitness and health PAs.

CO2hydrogenation to higher alcohols(C2+OH) is an effective way to realize carbon recycling, which can not only reduce the CO2amounts in atmosphere and mitigate the greenhouse effect, but also provides a new route to synthesize important ***, this process is a challenge because the inert CO2molecule is difficult to be activated and undergo C–C coupling. The key to achieve selective conversion of CO2to C2+OH is to design high-performance catalytic systems and unravel the reaction mechanism. In this review, we report several typical CO2hydrogenation-to-C2+OH catalyst materials, including noble-metal catalysts, Cu-based catalysts, Co-based catalysts and Mo-based catalysts, and evaluate the effects of various promoters on the catalytic performance and reaction mechanism. It will provide not only fundamental insights into the CO2hydrogenation-toC2+OH reaction mechanism, but also guidance for the development of related high-performance catalysts.

Fe(Ⅲ)has been proved to be a more eff ective oxidant than dissolved oxygen at ambient temperature,however,the role of Fe(Ⅲ)in pyrite acidic pressure oxidation was rarely discussed so *** this paper,in-situ electrochemical investigation was performed using a flow-through autoclave system in acidic pressure oxidation *** results illustrated that increasing Fe(Ⅲ)concentrations led to raising in redox potential of the solution,and decreased passivation of pyrite caused by deposition of elemental *** of Fe(Ⅲ)at pyrite surface was a fast reaction with low activation energy,it was only slightly promoted by rising ***,the oxidation rate of pyrite at all investigated Fe(Ⅲ)concentrations increased obviously with rising temperatures,the anodic reaction was the rate-limiting step in the overall *** energy of pyrite oxidation decreased from 47.74 to 28.79 kJ/mol when Fe(Ⅲ)concentration was increased from 0.05 to 0.50 g/L,showing that the reaction kinetics were limited by the rate of electrochemical reaction at low Fe(Ⅲ)concentrations,while,it gradually turned to be diffusion control with increasing Fe(Ⅲ)concentrations.

Methanol to olefins(MTO) as an important reaction in C1 chemistry can effectively transform non-petroleum carbon resources into value-added chemicals. Zeolites have been widely used as MTO catalysts. However, they usually suffer from a rapid deactivation due to bulky coke species production, and thus require continuous regenerations in industrial application. The key to design and develop highly stable zeolite catalysts for MTO process is to unravel the deactivation mechanism and clarify the structure–performance relationship of catalysts. Here, in this mini-review, we investigate the critical intermediate species inducing zeolite deactivation and analyze the formation and evolution pathways of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)that are the precursors of carbonaceous deposits. In addition, some methods to alleviate the coking mainly including acid regulation, morphology modification and process optimization, are also summarized.

The Monte desert is characterized by a great diversity of landforms created with fluvial， alluvial which the vegetation patterns are related to. The present work has the following objectives: 1: determine whether topographical attributes， surface characteristics， soil properties and vegetation patterns vary between alluvial landforms， and 2: define whether morphometric， soil and surface properties influence vegetation patterns along alluvial landscape. Morphometric data were obtained by processing a 5 m digital elevation model. The coverage of rock fragments， fine sediments and mulch was quantified. Observations and descriptions of the soil profiles were restricted to the uppermost 50 cm. Vegetation properties were calculated using a Point Quadrat Method. The relationship between variables was evaluated through multivariate statistical analysis. The main results show the pr.sen.e of 45 plant species distributed in 19 families， where shrubs are dominant. The wind effect， topographic wetness and dissection of the landscape are limiting factors of diversity. The coverage of superficial rock fragments influence vegetation coverage through the distribution and availability of rainwater. Furthermore， the different soil textures reveal that the silt content favors an increase in vegetation coverage. The pr.sen.e of V horizon could condition the installation and development of vegetation in the early stages of growth.

Comisión Nacional de energía Atómica(CNeA) has the responsibility for restoring uranium mining facilities once the operations have finished. CNeA, within its environmental Program and in compliance with its legal responsibilities, decides to implement a restoration project for all sites related to the mining and processing of uranium ores. The Malargüe Site is located within the Province of Mendoza in the city of Malargüe. It is the first site to successfully complete its remediation. The activities consist of relocation of tailings to an engineering repository. The tailings management(encapsulation) and rehabilitation of the area was finished in June 2017. The remediation alternative for the ore tailings was selected after conducting comparative studies and submitted the project to the society for consideration. The objective of the encapsulation of the mineral tails is to isolate them from the environment, also proceeding with the decontamination and rehabilitation of the area(landscaping,post-closure monitoring and 20 years monitoring period). encapsulation consisted of the construction of a containment cell for the mine tailings, to isolate them and prevent pollutants from entering the environment through the transfer routes.
