This study focuses on the correlation between sociology and complexity and it operates a reflection on the deep epistemological and ontological meaning of complexity, revealing how complexity goes beyond the analysis of the global society and is linked to sociology itself and to the issue of its scientific trait. The study shows how complexity, rediscovered following the globalization processes, reconnects sociology with its own origins and concerns the issue of the relation of sociological science with its own object, that is to say, society and social order. In a more radical manner, the challenge of complexity is intertwined with the road of revisiting modern science and epistemological identifying among ＂order＂, ＂intelligibility＂, and ＂science＂. In such a vision, complexity, not only reconnects sociology to its obiect, but highlights how those traits considered as non-scientific residue of human and social sciences belong to the fundamental issue of scientific knowledge. The challenge of complexity is outlined, as questioning the idea according to which the ＂modern＂ science depletes the ＂scientific vision of the world＂.

Purpose： The purpose of this clinical case study is to attract attention to the fact that behind a diagnosis of hypertension a young patient was really diagnosed with a rare systemic vasculitis - polyarteristis nodosa. Topic： Polyarteritis nodosa is a disease more frequent in young men with a preceding acute viral hepatitis B which is AgHbs positive. The characteristic of this disease is the presence of many aneurysms at different sites of the small and medium size artery. It is possible for a palpable purpuric rash to appear at any time in the evolution of the disease. The histopathological examination represents the goal of the diagnosis. Method： The principals methods was to attain the desired result, a cerebral MRI was initially performed in order to view any brain malformations and also for excluded an ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke attack , this was followed via a cerebral vascular angiography, an abdominal ultrasound and CT scan, the results of which led to a renal artery angiography being performed, this led to the need to perform a cerebral artery angiography and finally a histopathological examination of the skin of the legs （biopsy）. Achievement： Through the above listed paramedical examinations I was able to prove the existence of multiple aneurysms in the cerebral arteries, renal arteries and small growth of the left kidney, this being a direct result of the aneurysms, this also meant disruption in kidney blood flow meaning, an increase in systemic blood pressure which was the manifest primary symptom the this young patient such as transitory stroke attack. The skin biopsy finally gave a certain diagnosis of Polyarteritis Nodosa.

This study,through a re-conceptualization of sociological complexity theory’s epistemological sources,specifically in Edgar Morin’s formulation,sheds light on the theoretical models as well as empirical methodologies of sociological analysis of today’s complex,interconnected,diverse and globalized society and global *** theory leads to a shift in perspective and a transformation of the epistemological status of social sciences with an in-depth intervention of disorder,contingency,case,singular,and non-repeatable in the sociological *** notion of dialogic interplay is placed at the paradigm level and stands out at the heart of the concepts,analyzing the social system as ***,the notion of‘emergence’at macro-micro levels imposes itself as complex,logically requiring overcoming simple,linear thinking and model of explanation to adopt the perspective of organizational rotativity in which the product retroacts by transforming the one producing it,by conceiving a circularity of co-production between individuals and society through *** epistemology and sociological complexity theory in the empirical methodology setting,the complex sociological approach is phenomenon-,event/information-and crisis-centered,privileging observation,participation-intervention,and‘live inquiry’.The open,in-depth and possibly non-directive interview is part of clinical sociological methodology,raising the question of the observer-phenomenon-observed relation.

Polypeptide analysis for nanopore-based protein identification

Presently,proteins are identified by cleaving them with proteases,measuring the mass to charge ratio of the fragments with a mass spectrometer,and matching the fragments to segments within known proteins in *** earlier demonstrated that a nanometer-scale pore formed by aerolysin(AeL)can discriminate between,and therefore identify,three similar size proteins from their trypsin-cleaved polypeptide *** this nanopore-protease method,the protein’s identity is instead determined from characteristic ionic current blockade patterns caused by the polypeptide fragments that enter the *** results also suggested that not all of the theoretically expected cleavage products partition into the *** better understand the mechanism by which polypeptide fragments are captured,and how different polypeptides reduce the pore’s ionic current,we studied the effects of 11 identical length polypeptides with different net charges and charge *** show that under certain experimental conditions,negative,positive,and neutral polypeptides are driven into the AeL pore by the same applied voltage *** capture rate and dwell time of polypeptides in the pore depend strongly on the ionic strength,the magnitude of the applied voltage,and the net charge and charge distribution of the *** dwell time distribution depends nonmonotonically on the applied voltage(regardless of the polymer’s net charge),and its maximum value depends on the polypeptide net charge and charge *** maximum dwell time for different polypeptides does not occur at the same applied voltage amplitude,which conceivably might complicate the detection and discrimination of some polypeptide *** additional experiments,computer simulations,and artificial intelligence research are needed to better understand how to optimize the partitioning of enzymatically cleaved fragments into the AeL nanopore,the method is still capable of accurately identifying

The chemodivergent ring-opening of cyclobutanols is described under the carbocatalytic assistance of graphene oxide(GO).The protocol enables the synthesis of diversely functionalized dienes or indenes(26 examples)based on the amount of GO ***(XPS and ssNMR)as well as experimental investigations revealed a direct involvement of theπ-domains of GO in tuning the stability of carbocationic intermediates during the reaction.

Dear Editor,For more than two decades,Arabidopsis thaliana plants have been routinely grown in vitro within transparent Petri dishes containing agar-based solid *** convenient to study root developmental,nutritional and morphological responses to abiotic cues and to elucidate gene functions following reverse and forward genetic approaches,this system exposes roots to light during illumination of the ***,Zheng et al.(2019)raised serious concerns whether root growth behavior and molecular root reactions in this experimental set-up are solely due to the designedly and chemically defined growth substrate composition,in their case phosphate(Pi)deficiency,or due to light-triggered reactions that are artificially-induced by exposing roots to light.

AIM:To evaluate a levofloxacin-doxycycline-based triple therapy with or without a susceptibility culture test in non-responders to Helicobacter pylori(***) ***:A total of 142(99 women,43 men; mean 53.0 ± 12.7 years) non-responders to more than two *** eradication therapies underwent susceptibility culture tests or were treated with a seven-day triple therapy consisting of esomeprazole,20 mg b.i.d.,levofloxacin,500 mg b.i.d.,and doxycycline,100 mg b.i.d.,randomly associated with(n = 71) or without(n = 71) Lactobacillus casei *** status was checked in all patients at enrollment and at least 8 wk after the end of *** and tolerability of regimens were also ***:*** eradication was achieved in < 50% of patients [per prototol(PP) = 49%; intention to treat(ITT) = 46%].Eradication rate was higher in patients administered probiotics than in those without(PP = 55% vs 43%; ITT = 54% vs 40%).Estimated primary resistance to levofloxacin was 18% and multiple resistance was 31%.Therapy was well tolerated,and side effects were generally mild,with only one patient experiencing severe ***:Third-line levofloxacin-doxycycline triple therapy had a low *** eradication efficacy,though the success and tolerability of this treatment may be enhanced with probiotics.

We have read with interest the publication that describes the available data related to the use of neuromodulation strategies for the treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder(PTSD).Despite treatment advances,however,a substantial proportion of PTSD patients receiving psychological and/or pharmacological treatment do not reach an adequate clinical *** their paper,the authors draw attention to the current understanding of the use of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS)as a potential treatment for *** of the previous studies indeed applied both inhibitory(1 Hz)and excitatory(>1 Hz,up to 20 Hz)rTMS to the right and/or left dorsolateral prefrontal *** larger therapeutic effects observed when high-frequency stimulation was applied,the question of which side and frequency of stimulation is the most successful is still *** authors also reported on the after-effect of rTMS related to neuroplasticity and identified the intermittent theta burst stimulation as a technique of particular interest because of it showed the most effective improvement on PTSD ***,although numerous studies have highlighted the possible beneficial use of rTMS protocols for PTSD,the exact mechanism of action remains *** their conclusions,the authors stated that rTMS has been demonstrated to be effective for the treatment of PTSD ***,we believe that further research with homogeneous samples,standardized protocols,and objective outcome measures is needed to identify specific therapeutic targets and to better define significant changes when active and sham stimulation procedures are compared.

Emerging evidence suggests that dietary fats may influence testicular function. However, most of the published literature on this field has used semen quality parameters as the only proxy for testicular function. We examined the association of fat intake with circulating reproductive hormone levels and testicular volume among healthy young Spanish men. This is a cross-sectional study among 209 healthy male volunteers conducted between October 2010 and November 2011 in Murcia Region of Spain. Participants completed questionnaires on lifestyle, diet, and smoking, and each underwent a physical examination, and provided a blood sample. Linear regression was used to examine the association between each fatty acid type and reproductive hormone levels and testicular volumes. Monounsaturated fatty acids intake was inversely associated with serum blood levels of calculated free testosterone, total testosterone, and inhibin B. A positive association was observed between the intake of polyunsaturated fatty acids, particularly of omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids, and luteinizing hormone concentrations. In addition, the intake of trans fatty acids was associated with lower total testosterone and calculated free testosterone concentrations （Ptrend = 0.01 and 0.02, respectively）. The intake of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids was positively related to testicular volume while the intake of omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids and trans fatty acids was inversely related to testicular volume. These data suggest that fat intake, and particularly intake of omega 3, omega 6, and trans fatty acids, may influence testicular function.
