Herein,we develop cost-efficient superhigh-performance of engineering carbonaceous adsorbent from cigarette butts using combined wet-impregnated and re-dispersed method of KOH,which optimizes the implant approach of activator,breaking the restriction of selective capture of toluene using traditional activated *** Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET)surface area and pore volume of targeted adsorbent can attain 3088 m^(2)·g^(-1) and 1.61 cm^(3)·g^(-1),respectively,by optimizing the temperaturedependent synthetic factor effect of the *** adsorption capacity of resultant adsorbent for presenting volatile benzene and toluene shows a positive correlation with increasing carbonization temperature of carbon ***,we demonstrated the unsmoked and smoked butts derived adsorbents afford feeble difference in saturated adsorbed capacity of volatile organic compounds(VOCs).The highest adsorption capacity of sample CF-800 for benzene and toluene in CF group is as high as 1268.1 and 1181.6 mg·g^(-1) respectively,slightly higher than that of sample UF-800,but far outperforming reported other *** predicted adsorption selectivity of CF-800 and UF-800 for C_(7)H_(8)/H_(2)O(g)using the DIH(difference of isosteric heats)equation reach up to ca.3800 and 7500 respectively,indicating the weak adsorbability of water vapor on the developed adsorbent and greater superiority of the smoked butts derived adsorbents in selective capture of VOCs at low relative humidity in the competitive adsorption process for practical mixed VOCs.

Optimal design of hybrid renewable-energy microgrid system:a techno-economic-environment-social-reliability perspective

The main objective of this paper is to select the optimal model of a hybrid renewable-energy microgrid(MG)system for a village in *** MG comprises solar photovoltaic(PV)modules,a wind turbine generator,a biomass generator,a battery bank,a diesel generator and an electric *** optimal model selection is based on technical,economic,environmental,social and reliability parameters.A novel spoonbill swarm optimization algorithm is proposed to select the best hybrid MG *** optimization results are compared with particle swarm optimization,the genetic algorithm and the grasshopper optimization *** number or size of components of the optimized MG system is 215 PV modules,92 kW of wind turbine generation,25 kW of biomass generation,267 batteries,22 kW of electric vehicles and 30 kW of diesel *** optimized system was selected based on technical factors such as renewable dispersion(93.5%),the duty factor(5.85)and excess energy(15975 kWh/year)as well as eco-nomic considerations including the net present cost(Rs.34686622)and the cost of energy(9.3 Rs./kWh).Furthermore,environ-mental factors such as carbon emissions(396348 kg/year)and atmospheric particulate matter(22.686 kg/year);social factors such as the human progress index(0.68411),the employment generation factor(0.0389)and local employment generation(15.64643);and reliability parameters including loss of power supply probability(0.01%)and availability index(99.99%)were considered during the selection *** spoonbill swarm optimization algorithm has reduced the convergence time by 1.2 times and decreased the number of iterations by 0.83 times compared with other *** performance of the MG system is validated in the MATLAB®*** results show that the MG system is the optimal system considering technical,economic,environmental,social and reliability ***,the spoonbill swarm optimization algorithm is found to be more efficient than the other

Protected simultaneous quantum remote state preparation scheme by weak and reversal measurements in noisy environments

We discuss a quantum remote state preparation protocol by which two parties, Alice and Candy, prepare a single-qubit and a two-qubit state, respectively, at the site of the receiver Bob. The single-qubit state is known to Alice while the two-qubit state which is a non-maximally entangled Bell state is known to Candy. The three parties are connected through a single entangled state which acts as a quantum channel. We first describe the protocol in the ideal case when the entangled channel under use is in a pure state. After that, we consider the effect of amplitude damping(AD) noise on the quantum channel and describe the protocol executed through the noisy channel. The decrement of the fidelity is shown to occur with the increment in the noise parameter. This is shown by numerical computation in specific examples of the states to be created. Finally, we show that it is possible to maintain the label of fidelity to some extent and hence to decrease the effect of noise by the application of weak and reversal measurements. We also present a scheme for the generation of the five-qubit entangled resource which we require as a quantum channel. The generation scheme is run on the IBMQ platform.

Sequential decay analysis of^(235)U(n^(th),f)reaction using fragmentation approach

Numerous experimental and theoretical observations have concluded that the probability of the three fragment emission(ternary fission)or binary fission increases when one proceeds towards the heavy mass region of nuclear periodic *** factors affect fragment emission,such as the shell effect,deformation,orientation,and fissility *** and ternary fissions are observed for both ground and excited states of the *** collinear cluster tripartition(CCT)channel of the^(235)U(n^(th),f)reaction is studied,and we observe that the CCT may be a sequential or simultaneous emission *** date,different approaches have been introduced to study the CCT process as a simultaneous or sequential process,but the decay dynamics of these modes have not been not fully *** the three fragments of the sequential process and exploring their related dynamics using an excitation energy dependent approach would be of further ***,in this study,we investigate the sequential decay mechanism of the^(235)U(n^(th),f)reaction using quantum mechanical fragmentation theory(QMFT).The decay mechanism is considered in two steps,where initially,the nucleus splits into an asymmetric *** the second step,the heavy fragment obtained in the first step divides into two *** I analysis is conducted by calculating the fragmentation potential and preformation probability for the spherical and deformed choices of the decaying *** most probable fragment combination of stage I are identified with respect to the dips in the fragmentation structure and the corresponding maxima of the preformation probability(P0).The light fragments of the identified decay channels(obtained in step I)agree closely with the experimentally observed *** excitation energy of the decay channel is calculated using an iteration *** excitation energy is shared using an excitation energy dependent level density *** obtained excitation

Application of Response Surface Methodology for Analysing and Optimizing the Finned Solar Air Heater

In this research paper,a solar air heater with triangular fins has been experimentally analysed and ***,an experimental set-up of a solar air heater having triangular fins has been developed at the location of 28.10°N,78.23°*** heat transfer rate through fins and fins efficiency has been determined by the Finite Difference Method model *** experimental data and modeled data of response parameters have been optimized in MINITAB-17 software by the Response Surface Methodology *** creating the response surface design,three input parameters have been selected namely solar intensity,Reynolds number,and fin base-to-height *** range of solar intensity,Reynolds number,and fin base-to-height ratio is 600 to 1000W/m^(2),4000 to 6000,and 0.4 to 0.8 *** response surface design has been analyzed by calculating the outlet temperature,friction factor,Nusselt number,fin efficiency,thermal performance factor,and exergy *** optimum settings of input parameters:solar intensity is 1000 W/m^(2);Reynolds number is 4969.7,and the fin base to height ratio is 0.6060,on which these response:namely outlet temperature of 92.531℃,friction factor of 0.2350,Nusselt number of 127.761,thermal efficiency of 50.836%,thermal performance factor of 1.4947,and exergy efficiency of 8.762%.

Synthesis of plant-based biogenic jarosite nanoparticles using Azadirachta indica and Eucalyptus gunni leaf extracts and its application in Fenton degradation of dicamba

Bio-jarosite,an iron mineral synthesized biologically using bacteria,is a substitute for iron catalysts in the Fenton oxidation of organic *** nanocatalysts have been widely used as Fenton catalysts because they have a larger surface area than ordinary catalysts,are highly recyclable,and can be treated *** study aimed to explore the catalytic properties of bio-jarosite iron nanoparticles syn-thesized with green methods using two distinct plant species:Azadirachta indica and Eucalyptus *** focus was on the degradation of dicamba via Fenton *** synthesized nanoparticles exhibited different particle size,shape,surface area,and chemical composition *** particles were effective in removing dicamba,with removal efficiencies of 96.8%for *** bio-jarosite iron nano-particles(ABFeNPs)and 93.0%for *** bio-jarosite iron nanoparticles(EBFeNPs)within 120 min of *** the catalyst dosage by 0.1 g/L resulted in 7.6%and 43.0%increases in the dicamba removal efficiency for EBFeNPs and ABFeNPs with rate constants of 0.025 min^(-1) and 0.023 min^(-1),respectively,confrming their catalytic ***,the high efficiency of both catalysts was demonstrated through five consecutive cycles of linear pseudo-first-order Fenton oxidation reactions.

Prediction of rock fragmentation in a fiery seam of an open-pit coal mine in India

Spontaneous combustion of coal increases the temperature in adjoining overburden strata of coal seams and poses a challenge when loading *** condition,known as hot-hole blasting,is dangerous due to the increased possibility of premature explosions in loaded ***,it is crucial to load the blastholes with an appropriate amount of explosives within a short period to avoid premature detonation caused by high temperatures of ***,it will help achieve the desired fragment *** study tried to ascertain the most influencial variables of mean fragment size and their optimum values adopted for blasting in a fiery *** on blast design,rock mass,and fragmentation of 100 blasts in fiery seams of a coal mine were collected and used to develop mean fragmentation prediction models using soft computational *** coefficient of determination(R^(2)),root mean square error(RMSE),mean absolute error(MAE),mean square error(MSE),variance account for(VAF)and coefficient of efficiency in percentage(CE)were calculated to validate the *** indicates that the random forest algorithm(RFA)outperforms the artificial neural network(ANN),response surface method(RSM),and decision tree(DT).The values of R^(2),RMSE,MAE,MSE,VAF,and CE for RFA are 0.94,0.034,0.027,0.001,93.58,and 93.01,*** parametric sensitivity analyses(MPSAs)of the input variables showed that the Schmidt hammer rebound number and spacing-to-burden ratio are the most influencial variables for the blast fragment *** analysis was finally used to define the best blast design variables to achieve optimum fragment size from *** optimum factor values for RFA of S/B,ld/B and ls/ld are 1.03,1.85 and 0.7,respectively.
