Chemical and physical studies of metallic alloy-based old Indian coins with LIBS coupled with multivariate analysis

The present work aims to demonstrate the capabilities of Laser-induced Breakdown Spectroscopy(LIBS)coupled with a multivariate technique for rapid quantification and classification of old Indian coins made of various *** old Indian coins in different years of circulation,(1922–1986)were selected for the *** concentrations were determined by Calibration free LIBS(CF-LIBS)*** concentration of cuprum(Cu)is negligible,and aluminum(Al)is maximum in the first five coins,and vice-versa in the remaining eight *** different multivariate methods,Principal Component Analysis(PCA)and Soft Independent Modelling of Class Analogy(SIMCA)have been used to classify and identify the *** classified all thirteen samples into four main alloy *** discernment of unknown samples to their probable class membership of alloy was performed using *** surface hardness(Brinell hardness number)is linearly correlated with the plasma temperature and LIBS intensity *** sample surface of the first and fifth coin belongs to Al-alloy,having the least surface hardness,and it became harder for Cu–Ni alloy,Ni-brass alloy,and bronze *** hardness of the surface is more for bronze sample *** is also observed that the plasma temperature increases monotonically with the Brinell hardness *** analysis provides valuable information on fabrication methodology and explains large diversification in the elementary composition of old coins.

Protected simultaneous quantum remote state preparation scheme by weak and reversal measurements in noisy environments

We discuss a quantum remote state preparation protocol by which two parties, Alice and Candy, prepare a single-qubit and a two-qubit state, respectively, at the site of the receiver Bob. The single-qubit state is known to Alice while the two-qubit state which is a non-maximally entangled Bell state is known to Candy. The three parties are connected through a single entangled state which acts as a quantum channel. We first describe the protocol in the ideal case when the entangled channel under use is in a pure state. After that, we consider the effect of amplitude damping(AD) noise on the quantum channel and describe the protocol executed through the noisy channel. The decrement of the fidelity is shown to occur with the increment in the noise parameter. This is shown by numerical computation in specific examples of the states to be created. Finally, we show that it is possible to maintain the label of fidelity to some extent and hence to decrease the effect of noise by the application of weak and reversal measurements. We also present a scheme for the generation of the five-qubit entangled resource which we require as a quantum channel. The generation scheme is run on the IBMQ platform.

Geochemistry and geochronology of A-type basement granitoids in the north-central Aravalli Craton: Implications on Paleoproterozoic geodynamics of NW Indian Block

The basement granite gneisses from the north-central Aravalli Craton in NW India were investigated for geochemistry and *** a peneplain terrain,the granite gneiss outcrops are scanty and samples were collected mainly from two small hills and several ground-level exposures in the Sakhun–Ladera *** granite gneiss is the dominant lithology that also hosts dark,lenticular enclaves,and is in turn,intruded by mafic *** granite gneiss has silica content ranging from 61.37 wt.%to 68.27 wt.%that marks a slight overlap with the enclaves(54.32wt.%to 62.17wt.%).Both groups have a highK2O/Na2O(~2 or higher)***,the granite gneiss classify as granite–granodiorite,and enclaves as *** In-situ LA-ICP-MS zircon U–Pb geochronology of granite gneiss has yielded a statistically valid 1721±9 Ma age that we interpret as the emplacement age for the granitic *** characteristics of granite gneiss underline fractional crystallization of an I-type melt as themain process,and continuity of trends in enclaves underlines their mutual genetic *** genetic association is further verified by a consistency in the trace element characteristics and REE *** Nd-isotope signatures define a single grouping for both granite gneiss and enclaves,withεNd(t)values ranging from−6.38 to−6.61,further substantiating a common *** geochemical tectonic discrimination schemes consistently point toward an extensional setting and A-type characteristics for granite gneiss and *** are analogous to the coeval(1.72–1.75 Ga),A-type granitoids from the Khetri and Alwar basin in the North Delhi Fold Belt,implying a much larger areal extent for the Paleoproterozoic anorogenic magmatism in the northern segment of the Aravalli *** Paleoproterozoic age for the presumed‘Archean’basement in this region offers tacit evidence that the BGC–II is a stratigraphically younger terrane as compared to the Archean age,

Analysis of Nanof luids as Cutting Fluid in Grinding EN-31 Steel

Grinding requires high specific energy which develops high temperatures at wheel work piece interface. High temperatures impair work piece quality by inducing tensile residual stress, burn, and micro cracks. Control of grinding temperature is achieved by providing effective cooling and lubrication. Conventional flood cooling is often ineffective due to enormous heat generation and improper heat dissipation. This paper deals with an investigation on using TRIM E709 emulsifier with Al_2O_3 nanoparticles to reduce the heat generated at grinding zone. An experimental setup has been developed for this and detailed comparison has been done with dry, TRIM E709 emulsifier and TRIM E709 emulsifier with Al_2O_3 nanoparticles in grinding EN-31 steel in terms of temperature distribution and surface finish. Results shows that surface roughness and heat penetration were decreased with addition of Al_2O_3 nanoparticles.

A Heuristic Algorithm for Core Selection in Multicast Routing

With the development of network multimedia technology, more and more real-time multimedia applications need to transmit information using multicast. The basis of multicast data transmission is to construct a multicast tree. The main problem concerning the construction of a shared multicast tree is selection of a root of the shared tree or the core point. In this paper, we propose a heuristic algorithm for core selection in multicast routing. The proposed algorithm selects core point by considering both delay and inter-destination delay variation. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm performs better than the existing algorithms in terms of delay variation subject to the end-to-end delay bound. The mathematical time complexity and the execution time of the proposed algorithm are comparable to those of the existing algorithms.
