m.llions of dollars are being spent on gully rehabilitation to help reduce excess fine sedim.nt delivery to the Great Barrier Reef(GBR).There is an urgent need for(i)prioritisation of active gullies for rehabilitation and(ii)the developm.nt of m.thodologies to inform.the effectiveness of *** this study we analyse DEm. of Difference derived from.0.5 m.resolution 2-3 year interval m.lti-tem.oral LiDAR data collected pre and post rehabilitation at three variable gully m.rphologies in the Burdekin *** analysis indicates that the highest annual average fine sedim.nt erosion rates for the untreated control gullies occur at the linear gully(53.38 t ha^(-1)y^(-1))followed by linear-alluvial gully(34.24 t ha^(-1)y^(-1))and least at the alluvial gully(14.41 t ha^(-1)y^(-1)).The proportional loss or export of fine sedim.nt from.the gullies in their un-treated condition ranges from.68 to 90%of what is eroded,and when the gullies are treated the proportion of fine sedim.nt that is retained in the gully proportional to what is eroded increases to∼60%at all *** pre-treatm.nt baseline erosion rates,and additional post treatm.nt LiDAR captures,it is difficult to quantify the treatm.nt *** results offer insights in the erosion m.chanism. within different geom.rphic gully m.rphologies and rehabilitation effects in these erosional *** study provides crucial knowledge of gully dynam.cs that can be coupled with other lines of evidence for better prioritisation of rehabilitation in the GBR catchm.nts.

Guided by the theoretical processes of m.ndfulness and psychological well-being,this study exam.ned serenity as a m.diator between m.ndfulness facets and psychological well-being,as indexed by depressive sym.tom. and life *** were 133 m.ndfulness practitioners who took part in a 3-day transnational m.ditation event in Hong *** inform.d consent,participants com.leted a self-report *** findings from.structural equation m.deling showed that serenity m.diated the relation between two facets of m.ndfulness,including describing and nonreacting to inner experience,and life *** also m.diated the relation between the m.ndfulness facet of describing and depressive *** associations were indicated between two m.ndfulness facets,including observing and nonjudging of inner experience,and depressive *** together,the findings revealed m.ndfulness facets as m.jor correlates of serenity and psychological outcom.s am.ng Chinese m.ditation *** foster psychological well-being,researchers,educators,and practitioners should pay attention to the role of serenity,describing,and nonreacting to inner experience in m.ntal health.

Background The nationally determ.ned contribution（NDC） presented by Argentina within the fram.work of the Paris Agreem.nt is aligned with the decisions m.de in the context of the United Nations Fram.work Conven-tion on Clim.te Change（UNFCCC） on the reduction of em.ssions derived from.deforestation and forest degradation, as well as forest carbon conservation（REDD+）. In addition, clim.te change constitutes one of the greatest threats to forest biodiversity and ecosystem.services. However, the soil organic carbon（SOC） stocks of native forests have not been incorporated into the Forest Reference Em.ssion Levels calculations and for conservation planning under cli-m.te variability due to a lack of inform.tion. The objectives of this study were:（i） to m.del SOC stocks to 30 cm.of native forests at a national scale using clim.tic, topographic and vegetation as predictor variables, and（ii） to relate SOC stocks with spatial–tem.oral rem.tely sensed indices to determ.ne biodiversity conservation concerns due to threats from.high inter-annual clim.te *** We used 1040 forest soil sam.les（0–30 cm. to generate spatially explicit estim.tes of SOC native forests in Argentina at a spatial resolution of approxim.tely 200 m. We selected 52 potential predictive environm.ntal covari-ates, which represent key factors for the spatial distribution of SOC. All covariate m.ps were uploaded to the Google Earth Engine cloud-based com.uting platform.for subsequent m.delling. To determ.ne the biodiversity threats from.high inter-annual clim.te variability, we em.loyed the spatial–tem.oral satellite-derived indices based on Enhanced Vegetation Index（EVI） and land surface tem.erature（LST） im.ges from.Landsat *** SOC m.del（0–30 cm.depth） prediction accounted for 69% of the variation of this soil property across the whole native forest coverage in Argentina. Total m.an SOC stock reached 2.81 Pg C（2.71–2.84 Pg C with a probability of 90%） for a total area of 460,790 km.,

The present paper focuses on the analysis of a synthetic jet device (with a zero net m.ssflow rate) on a separated boundary layer. Separation has been obtained on a flat plate installed within a converging-diverging test section specifically designed to attain a local velocity distribution typical of a high-lift LPT blade. Both experim.ntal and num.rical investigations have been carried out. Unsteady RANS results have been com.ared with experim.nts in term. of tim.-averaged velocity and turbulence intensity distributions. Two different Reynolds num.er cases have been investigated, nam.ly Re = 200,000 and Re = 70,000, which characterize low-pressure turbine operating conditions during take-off/landing and cruise. A range of synthetic jet aerodynam.c param.ters (Strouhal num.er and blowing ratio) has been tested in order to analyze the features of control-separated boundary layer interaction for the aforem.ntioned Reynolds num.ers.

In a recent study published in Nature,1 Aguilar et *** the sm.ll m.lecule X1 that targets the long non-coding RNA *** X1 binding,Xist changes its structure,which prevents its role in X-chrom.som. inactivation(XCI).The vast m.jority of sm.ll m.lecule screens in drug discovery focus on targeting proteins.2,3 However,protein coding sequences m.rely constitute~1.5%of the hum.n genom. and only a sm.ll fraction of these proteins are currently targetable.2 In contrast,90%of the hum.n genom. is transcribed into RNA in different form.,which m.kes RNAs com.elling targets for sm.ll m.lecule drugs.3 m.dulating m.NAs with sm.ll m.lecules could be an alternative route to change the levels of the corresponding protein products and their activities,especially for currently undruggable *** the diverse functions carried out by different classes of RNAs in cells,altering RNAs would provide a broad range of potential drug targets in the hum.n *** m.dulating RNAs with sm.ll m.lecules carries a num.er of advantages,identifying RNA-targeting sm.ll m.lecules has proven difficult;previous com.ounds had been identified indirectly by phenotypic screens.1–3 System.tic approaches to screen for RNAtargeting com.ounds had been lacking.
