Surface finishing is essential for various applications in the aerospace *** of the applications is the poppet valve,which is used for leak-proof sealing of high-pressure gases in aerospace gas propulsion *** combustion engine also typically employs a poppet valve as an intake and exhaust ***-finishing a poppet valve is difficult because of its complex narrow *** precise nano-finished poppet valve perfectly fits on its seat and reduces hydrocarbon *** rotational-magnetorheological fluid-based finishing process can be used effectively for these complicated *** polishing agent in this process is magnetorheological fluid,and rheological properties are controlled by a permanent *** article presents the uniform finishing of the poppet valve's narrow ridge profile,which is analyzed through finite element analysis(FEA),wherein the outcomes are uniform shear stress,normal stress,and magnetic flux density distributions along the poppet ridge *** study of forces exerting on abrasive grains and surface roughness simulation is also conducted using FEA *** experiment is subsequently performed to verify the simulation results for poppet profile *** obtained experimental and simulated surface roughness values are *** the finishing process,the maximum percentage improvement of surface roughness is obtained as 93.71%.The rotational-magnetorheological fluid-based finishing process has high accuracy and reliability for specific applications.

＜正＞Fuzi,the root of Aconitum carmichaeli Debx,has been used to treat mood disorders in traditional Chinese medicine for ***,little is known about the mechanism of its *** the present study,our aim is to investigate the effects of Fuzi polysaccharide-1（FPS-1）,a water-soluble polysaccharide isolated from Fuzi,on neurogenesis and its antidepressant-like action in the adult *** results show that FPS administration increased the number of new born cells in the dentate gyrus,and most of these cells subsequently differentiated into *** treatment also produced antidepressant- like effect in the adult mice as tested by the forced swimming test,novelty suppressed- feeding test,and especially in the social defeat ***,acute treatment with FPS significantly increased BDNF level in the hippocampus at 6h after its administration,detected by using ELISA and western blotting *** FPS-induced antidepressant and neurogenic effects were blocked by TrkB inhibitor K252a,suggesting that BDNF signaling is involved in the neurogenic and antidepressant effects of ***-1 produces antidepressant-like effects in several models of depression and this effect may be mediated by enhancing adult neurogenesis via BDNF/TrkB signaling.

Microbial Removal of Phenol and P-Chlorophenol from Industrial Waste Water Using Rhodococcus ***8 and Its Growth Kinetic Modeling

A phenol-degrading microorganism, Rhodococcus ***8, was used to study the substrate interactions during cell growth on phenol and p-chlorophenol dual substrates. Both phenol and p-chlorophenol could be utilized by the bacteria as the sole carbon and energy sources. When cells grew on the mixture of phenol and p-chlorophenol, strong substrate interactions were observed. The p-chlorophenol inhibited the degradation of phenol, on the other hand, phenol also inhibited the utilization of p-chlorophenol. The overall cell growth rate depends on the co-actions of phenol and p-chlorophenol. In addition, the cell growth and substrate degradation kinetics of phenol, p-chlorophenol as single and mixed substrates for Rhodococcus ***8 in batch cultures were also investigated over a wide range of initial phenol concentrations (5-1600 mg.L–1) and initial p-chlorophenol concentrations (5 – 250 mg.L–1). The single-substrate kinetics was described well using the Haldane-type kinetic models, with model constants of μm1 = 0.15 h–1, KS1 = 2.22 mg.L–1 and Ki1 = 245.37 mg.L–1 for cell growth on phenol and of μm2 = 0.0782 h–1, KS2 = 1.30 mg.L–1 and Ki2 = 71.77 mg.L–1, K′i2 = 5480 (mg.L–1)2 for cell growth on p-chlorophenol. Proposed cell growth kinetic model was used to characterize the substrates interactions in the dual substrates system.

Depression is a chronic,recurring and potentially life-threatening illness that affects up to 20%of the population across the *** its prevalence and considerable impact on human,little is known about its *** of the major reasons is the restricted availability of validated animal models due to the absence of consensus on the pathology and etiology of ***,some core symptoms such as depressed mood,feeling of worthlessness,and recurring thoughts of death or suicide,are impossible to be modeled on laboratory ***,the criteria for identifying animal models of depression rely on either of the 2 principles：actions of known antidepressants and responses to *** review mainly focuses on the most widely used animal models of depression,including learned helplessness,chronic mild stress,and social defeat ***,the behavioral tests for screening antidepressants,such as forced swimming test and tail suspension test,are also *** advantages and major drawbacks of each model are *** prospective,new techniques that will be beneficial for developing novel animal models or detecting depression are discussed.

Hybrid IWD-DE:A Novel Approach to Model Cooperative Navigation Planning for Multi-robot in Unknown Dynamic Environment

The current study emphasizes inadequacies of earlier research findings on multi-robot navigation and offers a robust approach to guide the robots in an unknown dynamic *** attain the objective,the Intelligent Water Drop(IWD)algorithm is combined with Differential Evolution(DE)in a new conceptual fashion to optimize the navigation path of multiple mobile *** hybrid IWD-DE,basic IWD and DE algorithms are then explored for multi-robot navigation in a dynamic workspace through *** simulation outcomes demonstrate the competency of the proposed method to guide the robot in predicting the nature of the obstacle and to generate an optimal and safe trajectory in a dynamic *** potency of the proposed algorithm is further validated through experimentation with fire bird robot in a real *** outcomes of the simulation and experimentation,by employing IWD-DE algorithm are compared with those of basic IWD and DE *** error estimated for Average Navigation Path Travelled(ANPT),Aggregate Navigation Path Deviation(ANPD)and number of turns between simulation and experimental results by employing IWD-DE is 8.96,9.09,and 11.13,respectively while reaching 16.43,28.61,29.15 for IWD,and 6.66,10.20,14.28 for *** efficiency of the proposed approach is further verified with the state-of-the-art in a dynamic *** outcomes reveal the efficiency and flexibility of the proposed approach in resolving the multi-robot navigation problem as compared to the state-of-the-art in a dynamic workspace.

Comparative domain modeling of human EGF-like module EMR2 and study of interaction of the fourth domain of EGF with chondroitin 4-sulphate

EMR2 is an EGF-like module containing mucin-like hormone receptor-2 precursor, a G-protein coupled receptor （G-PCR）. Mutation in EMR2 causes complicated disorders like polycystic kidney disease （PKD）. The structure of EMR2 shows that the fifth domain is comprised of EGF-TM7 helices. Functional assignment of EMR2 by support vector machine （SVM） revealed that along with transporter activity, several novel functions are predicted. A twenty amino acid sequence ＂MGGRVFLVFLAFCVWLTLPG＂ acts as the signal peptide responsible for post- translational transport. Eight amino acids are involved in N-glycosylation sites and two cleavage sites are LeuS17 and SerS18 in EMR2. The residue Arg241 is responsible for interaction with glycosaminoglycan and chondroitin sulfate. On the basis of structure, function and ligand binding sites, competitive EMR2 inhibitors designed may decrease the rate of human diseases like Usher＇s syndrome, bilateral frontoparietal polymicrogyria and PKD.

Role of remote sensing, geographic bioinformatics system and bioinformatics in kala-azar epidemiology

Visceral leishmaniasis or kala-azar is a potent parasitic infection causing death of thousands of people each year. Medicinal compounds currently available for the treatment of kala-azar have serious side effects and decreased efficacy owing to the emergence of resistant strains. The type of immune reaction is also to be considered in patients infected with Leishmania donovani （L. donovani）. For complete eradication of this disease, a high level modern research is currently being applied both at the molecular level as well as at the field level. The computational approaches like remote sensing, geographic information system （GIS） and bioinformatics are the key resources for the detection and distribution of vectors, patterns, ecological and environmental factors and genomic and proteomic analysis. Novel approaches like GIS and bioinformatics have been more appropriately utilized in determining the cause of visearal leishmaniasis and in designing strategies for preventing the disease from spreading from one region to another.

Studies on seasonal fluctuation of different indices related to filarial vector,Culex quinquefasciatus around foothills of Susunia of West Bengal,India

Objective:To collect information on the seasonal activity of filarial vector around foothills of Susunia of West Bengal,***:Indoor-resting mosquitoes were collected from the human habitations of 16 *** mosquitoes were identified and examined for different parameters following standard methods recommended by World Health Organization and pioneer ***:Overall man hour density,infection rate,infectivity rate,human blood index and daily mortality rate of the vector were assessed as 10.54%,6.31%,1.38%,77.33%and 13.00%, respectively,which were 12.17%,8.63%,2.26%,100.00%and 17.00%,respectively in the summer *** load of microfilaria,1st stage,2nd stage and 3rd stage larvae of Wuchereria bancrofti in infected vectors were 10.***.7.50,5.56 and 4.68,respectively,which were 11.58,9.90. 6.27 and 5.44,respectively in *** the searched shelters 63.37%,8.16%and 2.08% were found to be invaded by any vector,infected vector and infective vector,respectively,which were 68.75%,12.76%and 3.91%,respectively in ***:Different indices related to the vector were much higher in summer,which indicates that,summer is the most favorable season for transmission of lymphatic filariasis in the study *** data will help to formulate an effective vector control measure.

The existence, uniqueness and regularity of solutions to the Cauchy problem posed for a nonhomogeneous viscous Burger's equation were shown in Chung, Kim and Slemrod [1] by assuming suitable conditions on initial data. Moreover, they derived the asymptotic behaviour of solutions of the Cauchy problem by imposing additional conditions on initial data. In this article, we obtain the same asymptotic behaviour of solutions to the Cauchy problem without imposing additional condition on initial data.
