This study adopted an extended theory of planned behavior to understand how risk perception affected disaster preparedness *** intercept survey(N=286)was conducted at a typhoon-prone district of Hong Kong,China in 2019,then the data were analyzed using structural equation *** results indicated that risk perception and intention of preparedness were predictors of disaster preparedness *** perception significantly affected intention of preparedness and the effect was partially mediated by subjective *** perception also significantly affected attitude and perceived behavioral control,but attitude and perceived behavioral control were not significantly correlated with intention of *** only may this study supplement the existing literature of disaster preparedness toward typhoons,but also it provides insights for the planning and management of natural hazards and disaster risk reduction in Hong Kong,China.

BACKGROUND Acquired hemophilia A (AHA) is a rare and potentially severe bleeding disordercaused by circulating autoantibodies against factor Ⅷ (FⅧ). In approximately50% of the patients, the condition is associated with autoimmune diseases,cancers, medication use, pregnancy, and the post-partum period. Bullous pemphigoid(BP) is a chronic autoimmune subepidermal blistering disease associatedwith tissue-bound and circulating autoantibodies against BP antigens 180 (BP180)and 230 (BP230). AHA-associated BP has a high mortality rate;hence, the understandingof this disease must *** SUMMARY A 69-year-old man presented with erythema, blisters, blood blisters, and crustsaccompanied by severe pruritus for more than 20 days, and ecchymosis andswelling on his left upper arm for 3 days. Pathological examination revealed asubepidermal blister that contained eosinophils. Laboratory tests showed that theBP180 autoantibody levels had increased, isolated activated partial thromboplastintime was notably prolonged (115.6 s), and coagulation FⅧ activity wasextremely low (< 1.0%). Furthermore, the FⅧ inhibitor titer had greatlyincreased (59.2 Bethesda units). Therefore, the patient was diagnosed as having BP associated with AHA, prescribed 0.05% topical halometasone cream, and transferred to a higher-level hospitalfor effective treatment;however, he died after 2 *** AHA associated BP is rare, dangerous, and has a high mortality rate. Therefore, its timely diagnosis and effectivetreatment are necessary.

Micromechanical and tribological studies of geological materials with a particular focus on their contact-mechanics behavior at the grain scale are currently a major interest in the engineering and geoscience disciplines. In this study, a new robust micromechanical apparatus developed at the City University of Hong Kong is described;it is capable of conducting inter-granule(or inter-particle) loading tests on fine gravel to ballast-sized materials of sizes as small as 5-10 mm to granules(or ballast) as big as 50 mm. The focus of our study is the description of the major technical features of the new apparatus and its performance and repeatability in conducting experiments on reference grains of chrome steel balls and glass balls;in addition, we conducted a preliminary set of experiments on crushed granitic rock, which is a material widely used in geotechnical and transportation infrastructure. The representative results of these experiments are presented in terms of the normal force-displacement relationship, friction, and tangential stiffness. The newly developed large-size apparatus is further compared with a well-established apparatus that can conduct micromechanical tests on sand-sized materials.

在进行目标方位(direction of arrival, DOA)估计时，背景噪声通常被假定为高斯噪声，但在水声环境中，噪声的概率密度函数存在非高斯分布情况，这会造成DOA估计出现伪峰及背景噪声增大等问题。文章将不服从高斯分布的水下噪声建模为α稳定分布，采用数据加权的方法对信号进行预处理，随后在互质阵列中应用压缩感知方法对宽带信号进行目标DOA估计。对8元互质阵列使用改进算法进行仿真，结果表明该方法可以准确做出DOA估计，同时减少了伪峰数量。湖试数据的处理结果表明，在互质阵列中基于数据加权的压缩感知DOA估计能够减少伪峰，增强目标检测能力，具有更好的检测效果及实用性。

Entity resolution （ER） aims to identify whether two entities in an ER task refer to the same real-world *** ER uses humans, in addition to machine algorithms, to obtain the truths of ER tasks. However, inaccurate orerroneous results are likely to be generated when humans give unreliable judgments. Previous studies have found thatcorrectly estimating human accuracy or expertise in crowd ER is crucial to truth inference. However, a large number ofthem assume that humans have consistent expertise over all the tasks, and ignore the fact that humans may have variedexpertise on different topics （e.g., music versus sport）. In this paper, we deal with crowd ER in the Semantic Web *** identify multiple topics of ER tasks and model human expertise on different topics. Furthermore, we leverage similartask clustering to enhance the topic modeling and expertise estimation. We propose a probabilistic graphical model thatcomputes ER task similarity, estimates human expertise, and infers the task truths in a unified framework. Our evaluationresults on real-world and synthetic datasets show that, compared with several state-of-the-art approaches, our proposedmodel achieves higher accuracy on the task truth inference and is more consistent with the human real expertise.

We investigate the capabilities of space-based gravitational-wave detector networks,specifically Taiji and LISA,to measure the anisotropies in stochastic gravitational-wave background(SGWB),which are characterized by the angular power *** find that a detector network can improve the measurement precision of anisotropies by at most fourteen orders of magnitude,depending on the angular *** doing so,we can enhance our understanding of the physical origins of SGWB,both in astrophysical and cosmological *** assess the prospects of the detector networks for measuring the parameters of angular power *** further find an inevitable effect of cosmic variance,which can be suppressed by a better angular resolution,strengthening the importance of configuring detector *** findings also suggest a potential detection of the kinematic dipole due to Doppler boosting of SGWB.

This study is concerned with the surface integrity of Inconel 738LC parts manufactured by selective laser melting(SLM)followed by high-speed milling(HSM).In the investigation process of surface integrity,the study employs ultradepth three-dimensional microscopy,laser scanning confocal microscopy,scanning electron microscopy,electron backscatter diffractometry,and energy dispersive spectroscopy to characterize the evolution of material microstructure,work hardening,residual stress coupling,and anisotropic effect of the building direction on surface integrity of the *** results show that SLM/HSM hybrid manufacturing can be an effective method to obtain better surface quality with a thinner machining metamorphic ***-speed machining is adopted to reduce cutting force and suppress machining heat,which is an effective way to produce better surface mechanical properties during the SLM/HSM hybrid manufacturing *** general,high-speed milling of the SLM-built Inconel 738LC samples offers better surface integrity,compared to simplex additive manufacturing or casting.
