Nigeria is an Afrotropical region with considerable ecological heterogeneity and levels of biotic *** its vertebrate fauna,reptiles have broad distributions,thus,they constitute a compelling system for assessing the impact of ecological variation and geographic isolation on species *** red-headed rock agama,Agama agama,lives in a wide range of habitats and,thus,it may show genetic structuring and ***,we tested the hypothesis that ecology affects its genetic structure and population *** inference phylogenetic analysis of a mitochondrial DNA(mtDNA)gene recovered four well-supported matrilines with strong evidence of genetic structuring consistent with eco-geographic *** differences among populations based on the mtDNA also correlated with geographic distance. The ecologicalniche model for the matrilines had a good fit and robust performance. Population divergence alongthe environmental axes was associated with climatic conditions, and temperature ranked highestamong all environmental variables for forest specialists, while precipitation ranked highest for theforest/derived savanna, and savanna specialists. Our results cannot reject the hypothesis that nicheconservatism promotes geographic isolation of the western populations of Nigerian A. ***, ecological gradients and geographic isolation impact the genetic structure and population divergenceof the lizards. This species might be facing threats due to recent habitat fragmentation,especially in western Nigeria. Conservation actions appear necessary.

Experimental Plans Method to Formulate a Resin Concrete

This work is an experimental approach based on the method of experimental plans to determine a specific formulation of a resin concrete. In this study, an unsaturated polyester resin (thermosetting resin) was used with two types of mineral fillers (dune sand and crushed sand), and with the addition of a marble powder to ensure the continuity of the particle size mixing granular. The lack of the methods for developing this kind of composite materials, had led us to perform an initial experimental approach to define the experimental field, that is to say determine the mass proportions of the various compounds of mixture of our study. In the second approach, we have established and implemented fully experimental plans with three factors namely: factor (1): sand, factor (2): resin, factor (3): marble powder. Test results being the density of polymer concrete and the mechanical resistances. Finally, multi-parameters regression allowed us to determine predictive mathematical models for the different responses of the study. Tests results showed that at three days we got a tensile strength of about 16 MPa with a resin concrete density of 1.9 g/cm3. This shows the advantages of this material.

1 IntroductionObstructive atherosclerosis vascular disease remains one of the greatest public health threats in the world. Surgical treatment to replace diseased blood vessels is usually done using major human allografts (veins or arteries) or synthetic prosthesis ( PTFE, Dacron). However, these substitutes have not a good pateney, because of the lack of endothelial cells (ECs) layer, which prevents thrombus formation. The challenge of tissue engineering vessels is to build-up blood/substitute interface near native *** order to improve ECs adhesion, it is necessary to precoat the intra-luminal vessel. Recently, a new surface modification technique arose, based on the alternate adsorption of oppositely charged polyelectrolytes. Our objective was to favour the endothelialization of the cryo-preserved allografts, treated with a thin polyelectrolyte multilayered film, made of PSS (poly (sodium-4-styrenesulfonate) ) or PAH (poly (allylamine hydrochloride) ).

Attract and kill (AK) technology was evaluated against the Mediterranean fruit fly (Med-fly), Ceratitis capitata W.. Treatment was carried out in two peach orchards of four hectares each; first one located in Borj-Touil and the second in El-Kssibi Mornag, Northern Tunisia during the 2012 field season. AK is a specialized system based on hydrolyzed proteins and alpha-cypermethrin. During this study, 400 AK bait stations were placed in every hectare, four weeks before fruits color changes. The tested AK system was found effective in reducing the number of C. capitata population to 70% comparing to the untreated orchards. Fruit damages assessment showed significant differences between treatments in respect of decreasing infestation onto fruits. Study results indicated that AK baited treatments were able to reduce dropped and soften fruits infestation seven times than that of control plots. Fruit damages were restricted to 4%-5% in treated areas with AK system in compare to 31%-35% recorded in control plots. This novel AK system showed good performance to combat Med-fly and can successfully used to combat various fruit fly species when applied for an area wide application program.

微波辅助固相合成法制备查尔酮类的工艺研究

三种不同方法合成甲氧查尔酮类化合物,筛选和优化合成工艺。采用酸催化高温法、羟基保护法和微波辅助碱催化法进行羟醛缩合反应,制备目标化合物,并以反应产率为指标筛选合成方法,优化反应条件。结果表明:用三种方法所得到的目标化合物产率分别为8.9%、9.27%和57.60%。微波辅助碱催化反应的最佳条件:设定微波功率150 W、反应时间100 s,温度80℃。微波辅助碱催化方法具有产率高、反应时间短、节能和环保等特点、是绿色合成甲氧查尔酮类化合物的有效方法之一。
