The development of bio-sourced materials is essential to ensuring sustainable construction;it is considered a locomotive of the green ***,it is an abundant material in our country,to which very little attention is being *** work aims to valorize the waste of the trunks of banana trees to be used in ***,the physicochemical properties of the fiber,such as the percentage of crystallization and its morphology,have been determined by X-ray diffraction tests and scanning electron microscopy to confirm the potential and the impact of the mode of drying on the quality of the banana fibers,with the purpose to promote the use of this material in ***,the results obtained with the gypsum matrix allowed us to note a preponderant improvement in the composite’s thermal properties thanks to the variation of the banana fiber ***,the impact of the nature of the banana fiber distribution(either fiber mixed in matrix or fiber series model)on the flexural and compressive strengths of the composites was *** results obtained indicate that the insulation gain reaches up to 40%.It depends on the volume fraction and type of distribution of the banana ***,the thermal inertia of the composites developed,represented by thermal diffusivity and thermal effusivity,was *** indicate a gain of 40%and 25%,respectively,in terms of thermal diffusivity and thermal effusivity of the developed composites compared to plaster *** the mechanical properties,the flexural strength depends on the percentage of the volume fraction of banana fibers used,and it can reach 20%more than the flexural strength of plaster;nevertheless,there is a significant loss in terms of the compressive strength of the studied *** results obtained are confirmed by the microstructure of the fiber *** fact,the morphology of the banana fibers was improved by the drying *** reduces the amorphous area an

Production and Characterization of a Composite Based on Plaster and Juncus Maritimus Plant Fibers

Nowadays,materials with a limited impact on the environment are required in the construction *** the interesting properties of natural elements such as natural fibers,it seems advantageous to use them to reinforce materials while protecting the environment and guaranteeing economic *** these lines,this research was devoted to studying the effect of untreated natural fibers extracted from the Juncus maritimus plant(from Southern Morocco)on ***,the effect of the percentage of added fibers on the fluidity of the plaster was evaluated by means of the Marsh’s cone method,that is,by measuring the time taken by a known volume of plaster to flow from a cone through a short ***,the highly porous microstructure of the plaster was observed using a scanning electron microscope(SEM).The diffractogram of Juncus maritimus fibers was built by means of a X-ray diffraction(XRD)*** values obtained for the wet thermal conductivity of the composites decreased from 0.4853 W/m.K for the reference specimen to 0.4324 W/m K for a fiber volume content of 40%.The densities were calculated to determine the lightness of each *** mechanical strengths[flexural and compressive]were evaluated for different percentages of rush *** addition of 20%volume fiber was found to improve the flexural strength to 3.63 MPa compared to the sample without fiber(3.36 MPa),thereby ensuring good toughness of the considered ***,a reduction in compressive strength was observed,due to the poor adhesion between the fibers and the plaster matrix.

Application of Remote Sensing and GIS in Mineral Alteration Mapping and Lineament Extraction Case of Oudiane Elkharoub (Requibat Shield, Northern of Mauritania)

The integration of remotely sensed data allowed the successful characterization of the mineral alteration zones of the Oudiane Elkharoub area in the Northeastern part of Reguibat Shield using image transformation techniques. As both chemical and geochemical analyses showed significant Au, Ag, Cu, Pb, Mn, Cr, Ni, Th and Y anomalies, it’s very interesting to apply the remote sensing and GIS in mineral resources mapping. The remote sensing is a direct adjunct to the field, lithologic and structural mapping, and more recently, GIS has played an important role in the study of mineralization areas. The integration of several evidential maps highlighted the plausible areas with high concentrations of chlorite, epidote, kaolinite, calcite, alunite, hematite, illite and sulfur among other key mineral alterations that reflect the intensity of hydrothermal effects and the probable sites of ore bodies. The methodological approach integrates geological information acquired from Aster and Landsat 8 OLI/TIRS (Operational Land Imager/Thermal InfraRed Sensor) images and a multi-criteria GIS analysis. The superimposition of various lineament and hydrothermal alteration maps and the consideration of precious and base metal indicators allowed the zoning of sites likely to contain mineral concentrations. Remote sensing becomes an important tool for locating mineral deposits in its own right, when the primary and secondary processes of mineralization result in the formation of spectral anomalies. Reconnaissance lithological mapping is usually the first step of mineral resource mapping. This is complimented with structural mapping, as mineral deposits usually occur along or adjacent to geologic structures, and alteration mapping, as mineral deposits are commonly associated with hydrothermal alteration of the surrounding rocks. Ground truthing and laboratory studies including XRD analysis were utilized to verify the results.

Optimization of continuous electrocoagulation-adsorption combined process for the treatment of a textile effluent

The aims of this study is to design and optimize the functioning of a full continuous combined process based on electrocoagulaion-adsorption on crude Tunisian clay to treat a real textile *** clay characterization shows that the used clay is a rich-smectite *** response surface methodology(RSM)technique based on Box-Behnken design(BBD)was used to optimize the *** optimum conditions which are initial pH solution of 8.24,effluent flow rate of 0.5 L·min^(-1),voltage of 70 V,and added suspension of clay flow rate of 100 ml·min^(-1) the achieved color,chemical oxygen demand(COD)and total suspended solid(TSS)removal efficiencies were respectively 96.87%,89.77%and 84.46%with0.75 USD·m^(-3) as total *** additional laboratory experiments at optimum conditions agree with the predicted results,which confirm the accuracy and the capability of RSM to predict results in the defined *** the designed process could be a good eco-friendly alternative to treat and reuse wastewater in industrial process with reasonable cost.

Optimization and mechanisms analysis of indigo dye removal using continuous electrocoagulation

Electrocoagulation(EC) is among the most effective techniques that remove color and decontaminate *** are delivered in situ by anode *** this research,indigo dye removal using iron electrodes in continuous electrocoagulation process and the responsible species for decolorization were *** Response Surface Methodology(RSM) was used to optimize the process *** finding in this study shows that at fixed conductivity at 15,000 μS·cm^(-1) the neutral conditions(pH from 6 to 8),the low absorbance,the low flow rate and the high voltage level enhance the color removal *** high R~2 value of 97.8% and ANOVA analyses show a good correlation between the experimental and predicted *** the optimum conditions,which are pH of 7.5, solution concentration of 60 mg·L^(-1), inlet flow rate of 2 L·min^(-1) and voltage of 47 V, the predicted decolorization of 94.083% was achieved at 93.972% with a total cost of 0.0927 USD·m^(-3) of treated *** the optimum pH(7.5),the zeta potential value(-4 mV) of the effluent during EC match with the one of iron Ⅲ *** dye removal is ensured thanks to physical adsorption and *** results exposed in this work prove that the continuous electrocoagulation process could be successfully used for indigo dye removal at industrial scale.

Integrating Tabu Search in Particle Swarm Optimization for the Frequency Assignment Problem

In this paper, we address one of the issues in the frequency assignment problem for cellular mobile networks in which we intend to minimize the interference levels when assigning frequencies from a limited frequency spectrum. In order to satisfy the increasing demand in such cellular mobile networks, we use a hybrid approach consisting of a Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO) combined with a Tabu Search(TS) algorithm. This approach takes both advantages of PSO efficiency in global optimization and TS in avoiding the premature convergence that would lead PSO to stagnate in a local minimum. Moreover, we propose a new efficient, simple, and inexpensive model for storing and evaluating solution's assignment. The purpose of this model reduces the solution's storage volume as well as the computations required to evaluate thesesolutions in comparison with the classical model. Our simulation results on the most known benchmarking instances prove the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm in comparison with previous related works in terms of convergence rate, the number of iterations, the solution storage volume and the running time required to converge to the optimal solution.

Since 3D mesh security has become intellectual property,3D watermarking algorithms have continued to appear to secure 3D meshes shared by remote users and saved in distant multimedia *** novelty of our approach is that it uses a new Clifford-multiwavelet transform to insert copyright data in a multiresolution domain,allowing us to greatly expand the size of the *** that,our method does two rounds of insertion,each applying a different type of Clifford-wavelet *** being placed into the Clifford-multiwavelet coefficients,the watermark,which is a mixture of the mesh description,source mesh signature(produced using SHA512),and a logo encrypted using the RSA(Ronald Shamir Adleman)technique,is encoded using *** the Least Significant Bit method steps,data embedding involves modulation and insertion ***,the watermarked mesh is reconstructed using the inverse Cliffordmultiwavelet *** to the utilization of a hybrid insertion domain,our technique has demonstrated a very high insertion rate while retaining mesh *** mesh is watermarked,and the extracted data is acquired in *** approach is also resistant to the most common types of *** findings reveal that the current approach improves on previous efforts.

New blockchain platforms are launching at a high cadence,each fighting for attention,adoption,and infrastructure *** studies have measured the peer-to-peer(P2P)network decentralisation of Bitcoin and Ethereum(i.e.,two of the largest used platforms).However,with the increasing demand for blockchain infrastructure,it is important to study node decentralisation across multiple blockchain networks,especially those containing a small number of *** this paper,we propose NodeMaps,a data processing framework to capture,analyse,and visualise data from several popular P2P blockchain platforms,such as Cosmos,Stellar,Bitcoin,and Lightning *** compare and contrast the geographic distribution,the hosting provider diversity,and the software client variance in each of these *** our comparative analysis of node data,we found that Bitcoin and its Lightning Network Layer 2 protocol are widely decentralised P2P blockchain platforms,with the largest geographical reach and a high proportion of nodes operating on The Onion Router(TOR)privacy-focused *** and Stellar blockchains have reduced node participation,with nodes predominantly operating in large cloud providers or well-known data centres.

A DDPG-based solution for optimal consensus of continuous-time linear multi-agent systems

Modeling a system in engineering applications is a time-consuming and labor-intensive task,as system parameters may change with temperature,component aging,*** this paper,a novel data-driven model-free optimal controller based on deep deterministic policy gradient(DDPG)is proposed to address the problem of continuous-time leader-following multi-agent *** deal with the problem of the dimensional explosion of state space and action space,two different types of neural nets are utilized to fit them instead of the time-consuming state iteration *** minimal energy consumption,the proposed controller achieves consensus only based on the consensus error and does not require any initial admissible ***,the controller is self-learning,which means it can achieve optimal control by learning in real time as the system parameters ***,the proofs of convergence and stability,as well as some simulation experiments,are provided to verify the algorithm’s effectiveness.
