Although significant advances have been made in understanding the pathophysiology of psychiatric disorders(PDs),therapeutic advances have not been very *** psychotropic medications can reduce classical symptoms in patients with PDs,their long-term use has been reported to induce or exaggerate various pre-existing metabolic abnormalities including diabetes,obesity and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).The mechanism(s)underlying these metabolic abnormalities is not clear;however,lipid/fatty acid accumulation due to enhanced de novo lipogenesis(DNL)has been shown to reduce membrane fluidity,increase oxidative stress and inflammation leading to the development of the aforementioned metabolic ***,emerging evidence suggest that DNL dysregulation and fatty acid accumulation could be the major mechanisms associated with the development of obesity,diabetes and NAFLD after long-term treatment with psychotropic medications in patients with *** support of this,several adjunctive drugs comprising of anti-oxidants and antiinflammatory agents,that are used in treating PDs in combination with psychotropic medications,have been shown to reduce insulin resistance and development of *** conclusion,the above evidence suggests that DNL could be a potential pathological factor associated with various metabolic abnormalities,and a new avenue for translational research and therapeutic drug designing in PDs.

由于具有宽容量范围、高工作电压、轻质、性能可靠等优点,聚合物基的电介质薄膜电容器等在现代电子学中具有重要作用。通常所研究的介电聚合物和填料都是不可生物降解的,这是产生电子废物污染的原因之一。为了解决这个问题,本研究选择了可生物降解的聚酯PBAT作为基体,将其分别与两种自制的生物质衍生填料复合,制备了可生物降解的聚合物基电介质复合材料。论文主要分为以下几个主要内容:首先,以香蕉皮废弃物（BP-W）为原料,通过热解的方法,分别制备了N掺杂和非掺杂的生物质炭,N掺杂技术解决了非掺杂生物炭性能上的一些缺陷,通过透射电子显微镜（TEM）、X射线衍射（XRD）、能量色散X射线分析（EDX）、X射线光电子能谱（XPS）、傅里叶变换红外光谱（FTIR）和热重分析（TGA）等手段对产物进行了系统表征,结果证实了氮的成功掺杂。并将它们作为含碳导电有机填料分别与PBAT复合制备了复合电介质材料,掺杂N生物炭可以改善聚合物复合材料的介电性能和热稳定性,而不会牺牲力学性能和生物降解性。具体而言,含有10 wt.%N掺杂生物炭的PBAT纳米复合材料的介电常数为10.64,比纯PBAT（介电常数为5.85）增加了83%。此外,复合材料介电损耗在1000 Hz时保持在0.071以下。其次,通过对生物质废料牛骨头的热解,制备了羟基磷灰石（HAp）并将其作为陶瓷无机填料,对其进行了系统的表征。随后,利用溶液共混和热压技术制备了包含HAp和PBAT的可生物降解介电复合材料,并进行了系统的表征。结果表明了单相结晶HAp的成功制备,具有良好定义的晶界,所得到的可生物降解复合材料表现出显著的介电性能,包括高介电常数、低介电损耗和良好的低填料含量下的击穿强度。介电常数随着填料含量的增加而增加,而介电损耗保持低水平,击穿强度随着填料含量的增加而略有降低。能量储存密度的理论研究表明,PBAT/HAp-3%复合材料具有较高的能量储存密度(Ust=3.56 J/cm3),比纯PBAT(Ust=2.48J/cm3)高出43.55%。HAp/PBAT复合材料的力学性能和热稳定性均得到了不同程度的提升。此外,对两个体系的复合材料生物降解性能进行了分析,评估了介电复合材料的生物降解行为,包括在不同时间段内浸泡在谷胱甘肽溶液中以模拟酶降解。评估参数包括重量损失率、力学性能和外观检查等。对完全可生物降解的PBAT/绿色填料复合材料的生物降解性能进行了全面的评价。

BACKGROUND Detection of early chronic changes in the kidney allograft is important for timely intervention and long-term *** and novel ultrasound-based investigations are being increasingly used for this purpose with variable *** To compare the diagnostic performance of resistive index(RI)and shear wave elastography(SWE)in the diagnosis of chronic fibrosing changes of kidney allograft with histopathological *** This is a cross-sectional and comparative study.A total of 154 kidney transplant recipients were included in this study,which was conducted at the Departments of Transplantation and Radiology,Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation,Karachi,Pakistan,from August 2022 to February *** consecutive patients with increased serum creatinine levels and reduced glomerular filtration rate(GFR)after three months of transplantation were enrolled in this *** and RI were performed and the findings of these were evaluated against the kidney allograft biopsy results to determine their diagnostic *** The mean age of all patients was 35.32±11.08 *** these,126(81.8%)were males and 28(18.2%)were *** mean serum creatinine in all patients was 2.86±1.68 mg/dL and the mean estimated GFR was 35.38±17.27 mL/min/1.73 *** allograft biopsy results showed chronic changes in 55(37.66%)*** sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value(PPV),and negative predictive value(NPV)of SWE for the detection of chronic allograft damage were 93.10%,96.87%%,94.73%,and 95.87%,respectively,and the diagnostic accuracy was 95.45%.For RI,the sensitivity,specificity,PPV,and NPV were 76.92%,83.33%,70.17%,and 87.62%,respectively,and the diagnostic accuracy was 81.16%.CONCLUSION The results from this study show that SWE is more sensitive and specific as compared to RI in the evaluation of chronic allograft *** can be of great help during the routine follow-up of kidney transplant recipients for screening a

猪圆环病毒2型(Porcine Circovirus type 2,PCV2)衣壳(Capsid)蛋白是制备抗猪圆环2型病毒亚单位疫苗的有效免疫抗原,能在大肠杆菌及杆状病毒/昆虫细胞表达系统中获得表达,然而在哺乳细胞中的表达研究仍然缺乏。瞬时表达条件考察结果显示,采用宿主HEK293F细胞及PEI-40kDa转染试剂能获得35%病毒PCV2 Capsid基因细胞转染效率。转染试剂PEI(Polyethylenimine)与DNA比例差异会影响复合物形成大小及形态,复合物形成15~80 nm颗粒有利于转染效率的提高。实验以免疫逃逸型猪圆环病毒2b型NDSU41513病毒株,设计了新型PCV2 Capsid (△1-41aa)-Fc(pig) protein(PCFP)分子。在3 L反应器中成功实现了HEK293F细胞瞬时表达PCFP,表达水平达到3.8 mg/L。PCFP蛋白能够自主装形成约为41 nm类病毒颗粒,诱导小鼠机体内产生强烈的体液免疫反应,具有很高的应用潜力。

Dear Editor,In the era of big data and artificial intelligence,"smart breeding"has become a broad conceptual framework encompassing the paradigm shift of crop breeding to relying on analysis of high-throughput population genetics and phenomics data to conduct genomic selection,allowing identification and optimal use of the genetic potential in crop species(Xiao et al.,2022;Xu et al.,2022;Wang et al.,2023).Most existing tools for analyzing high-throughput breeding data require extensive computational power,complex installation processes,and command-line expertise and are therefore challenging and inconvenient for the majority of researchers and breeders(Brandies and Hogg,2021).

Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) is considered the fifth most prevalent cancer among all types of cancers and has the third most morbidity value. It has the most frequent duplication time and a high recurrence rate. Recently, the most unique technique used is liquid biopsies, which carry many markers;the most prominent is circulating tumor DNA(ctDNA). Varied methods are used to investigate ctDNA, including various forms of polymerase chain reaction(PCR) [emulsion PCR(ePCR), digital PCR(dPCR), and bead, emulsion, amplification, magnetic(BEAMing) PCR]. Hence ctDNA is being recognized as a potential biomarker that permits early cancer detection,treatment monitoring, and predictive data on tumor burden are subjective to therapy or surgery. Numerous ctDNA biomarkers have been investigated based on their alterations such as 1) single nucleotide variations(either insertion or deletion of a nucleotide) markers including TP53, KRAS, and CCND1;2) copy number variations which include markers such as CDK6, EFGR, MYC and BRAF;3) DNA methylation(RASSF1A, SEPT9, KMT2C and CCNA2);4) homozygous mutation includes ctDNA markers as CDKN2A, AXIN1;and 5) gain or loss of function of the genes, particularly for HCC. Various researchers have conducted many studies and gotten fruitful ***, there are some drawbacks to ctDNA namely low quantity, fragment heterogeneity, less stability, limited mutant copies and standards, and differential sensitivity. However, plenty of investigations demonstrate ctDNA's significance as a polyvalent biomarker for cancer and can be viewed as a future diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic agent. This article overviews many conditions in genetic changes linked to the onset and development of HCC, such as dysregulated signaling pathways, somatic mutations, single-nucleotide polymorphisms, and genomic instability. Infectious diseases caused by arboviruses are a public health concern in ***,studies on data prevalence and threats posed by arboviruses are *** study investigated the seroprevalence of arboviruses in a healthy population in Pakistan,including severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome virus(SFTSV),Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus(CCHFV),Tamdy virus(TAMV),and Karshi virus(KSIV)based on a newly established luciferase immunoprecipitation system(LIPS)assays,and Zika virus(ZIKV)by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays(ELISA).Neutralizing activities against these arboviruses were further examined from the antibody positive *** results showed that the seroprevalence of SFTSV,CCHFV,TAMV,KSIV,and ZIKV was 17.37%,7.58%,4.41%,1.10%,and 6.48%,respectively,and neutralizing to SFTSV(1.79%),CCHFV(2.62%),and ZIKV(0.69%)were identified,as well as to the SFTSV-related Guertu virus(GTV,0.83%).Risk factors associated with the incidence of exposure and levels of antibody response were ***,co-exposure to different arboviruses was demonstrated,as thirty-seven individuals were having antibodies against multiple viruses and thirteen showed neutralizing ***,individuals aged40 years,and outdoor workers had a high risk of exposure to *** these results reveal the substantial risks of infection with arboviruses in Pakistan,and indicate the threat from co-exposure to multiple *** findings raise the need for further epidemiologic investigation in expanded regions and populations and the necessity to improve health surveillance in Pakistan.

Mass-Casualty Distribution for Emergency Healthcare:A Simulation Analysis

This study focuses on the casualty-load distribution problem that arises when a mass casualty incident(MCI)necessitates the engagement of multiple medical *** discrete event simulations,the study analyzed different MCI response regimes in Lahore,Pakistan,that vary in terms of the level of casualty-load distribution and the required coordination between the incident site and the responding *** terrorist attacks in this major metropolitan area were considered to set up experiments for comparing delays in treatment under the modeled *** analysis highlights that the number of casualties that are allowed to queue up at the nearest hospital before diverting the casualty traffic to an alternate hospital can be an important factor in reducing the overall treatment *** diverting the casualty traffic from the incident site to an alternate hospital can increase the travel time,while a delay in diversion can overload the nearest hospital,which can lead to overall longer waiting times in the *** casualty distribution mechanisms based only on the responding hospitals’available capacity and current load can perform inefficiently because they overlook the trade-off between the times casualties spend in traveling and in queues.
