Polychloroprene (PC) based contact adhesives are widely used in various applications;however, there is a possibility to improve the properties of PC adhesive. Modifications of polymers can enhance the properties of the material, e.g. increase in thermal stability, compatibility, rigidity, physical response, flexibility and improve the polymer process ability. In the current study, improved formulation of solvent-based adhesive was developed, and the properties were further enhanced by the addition of nano-reinforcement of multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). The addition of nano-reinforcement was optimized to obtain improvement in the bond strength and also to enhance its resistance at a high temperature (~100°C). This paper discusses the uniform dispersion of MWCNTs during the synthesis of polychloroprene solvent-based adhesive, thereby improving its structural properties. Incorporation of MWCNTs-solvent-based adhesives resulted in a 20% - 35% improvement in 180° peel strength determined on flexible substrates such as canvas, leather. The reinforced based adhesive also exhibited improved thermal stability and weather resistance compared with unreinforced adhesive. The MWCNTs- solvent-based contact adhesives is a potential candidate in an industrially relevant branch of adhesives commonly used in structural applications, e.g., footwear, plastic, leather, automobile, construction industries, etc.

BACKGROUND Giant cell hepatitis in the adult population remains very poorly defined with only 100 case reports published in the literature over the last three *** To present our center’s experience in an attempt to learn about the predisposing factors,outcomes and efficacy of proposed therapeutic interventions for giant cell *** A retrospective chart review was conducted through the electronic records of the University of Pittsburgh Medical *** queried 36726 liver biopsy reports from January 1,1991 to December 6,*** search yielded 50 patients who were identified as carrying a definite diagnosis of post-infantile giant cell hepatitis(PIGCH)by *** data collected included demographic information,laboratory data(liver function tests,autoimmune markers)and transplant *** order to better analyze patient characteristics and outcomes,subjects were separated into a non-transplant(native)liver group and a post-liver transplant(allograft)*** The incidence of PIGCH was approximately 0.14%of all biopsies queried in the 25-year *** mean age was 48 years with 66%*** function tests were classified as 38.2%cholestatic,35.3%hepatocellular and 26.5%*** hepatitis was found to be the most prevalent predisposing factor leading to PIGCH constituting 32%of *** consisted mainly of immunosuppression,viral targeted therapy,supportive care and in six cases liver *** The diagnosis of PIGCH remains clinically challenging and requires a high index of suspicion as well as a thorough history,physical examination,serological workup and liver *** of the underlying cause can result in clinical stability in a large number of cases.

Objective:To delineate the frequency of occurrence of blaCTX-M,blaTEM,and blaSHV in Enterobacteriaceae from North-Indian tertiary ***:A random collection of a subset of 45 Escherichia coli（***） and 28 Klebsiella pneumoniae（***） that was resistant to a third generation cephalosporin and obtained during 2007-2008 was selected for detailed screening for blaCTX-M,blaTEM,and blaSHV by monoplex *** isolates demonstrating the presence of blaCTX-M alleles were characterized for the specific CTX-M-genogroup by using a multiplex ***:Resistance to cefoperazone,ceftazidime,ceftriaxone,cefotaxime, cefoxitin and piperacillin was 100%each in *** isolates,whereas these resistancerates for *** isolates were 93.1%,83.8%,91.9%,93.6%,97.3%and 97.1%,respectively. Concomitant resistance to aminoglycosides,quinolones and aztreonam was also *** of any of the bla genes(blaCTX-M,blaTEM,and blaSHV) was noticed in a total of 28（38.4%） isolates of the 73 isolates *** isolates demonstrated occurrence of these genes in various ***CTX-M,blaTEM,and blaSHV were noticed in 28.8%,10.9%and 13.7%isolates, *** PCR in blaCTX-M harboring isolates demonstrated the presence of CTX-MGenogroup -1 and sequencing for the specific CTX-M-type revealed presence of CTX-M-15 type. RAPD typing showed wide diversity in ***:This is amongst the premier report describing the simultaneous occurrence of bloTEM,blaSHV,and blaampC in Indian Enterobacteriaceae and that wider dissemination of these genes,as demonstrated by diversity of isolates,raises concern and emphasizes a need for extensive search for the presence of these gene pools in Indian subcontinent.

Selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitors are widely used due to their efficacy and good safety profile. However, recent case reports have described varying degrees of liver injuries associated with the use of COX-2 inhibitors. We report the case of a patient who developed acute cholestatic hepatitis progressing to hepatic failure requiring liver transplantation, following a 3-d course of celecoxib for treatment of generalized muscle aches and pains. The clinical presentation, the laboratory data, as well as the liver histopathology were supportive of the putative diagnosis of drug induced liver injury.

Indian mustard (Brassica juncea L.) germplasm consisting 167 accessions including one check cultivar was evaluated for qualitative and quantitative traits. The present study was conducted to investigate genetic diversity and correlation among studied genotypes of B. juncea L. based on agro-morphological at NARC, Islamabad, Pakistan. To investigate the genetic diversity based on morphological characters, data was recorded on 20 quantitative and 12 qualitative traits. The calculated data was analyzed through two complementary methods, i.e. PCA (Principal Component Analysis) and cluster analysis. Among all the studied cultivars, significant diversity was recorded for different agro-morphological characters. Among all the parameters, maximum variance was recorded for pod shattering (427.2) followed by plant height (345.6), days to 100% flowering (336.2) and main raceme length (210.0). Among all the characters, the greatest and highly significant association (0.99) was found between days to maturity 50% and days to maturity 100% followed by correlation (0.86) among days to flowering 50% and days to flowering 100%, correlation value (0.71) was calculated among leaf length and leaf width. Using cluster analysis all the genotypes were divided into five major groups. It was observed that 7 out of 20 principal components with an Eigen value of ≥1.0 calculated for 73.92% of the total diversity observed between 167 accessions of Indian mustard (B. juncea L.). The contribution of first three PCs in the total PCs was 23.25, 12.87 and 11.24, respectively. Among all the investigated accessions two genotypes 26,813 and 26,817 showed great potential for seeds/silique, 1000-seed weight and seed yield/plant, respectively, so these genotypes are recommended for future breeding programs for achieving promising results.

开发稳定高效的可见光吸收的氧化物半导体光催化剂是太阳能光催化分解水的一个重要研究方向.最近我们提出(***.A,2020,8,6863−6873),具有室温铁电性质的BiFeO_(3)(BFO)薄膜体系表现出低光电流密度响应是由于铁电畴壁/界面处的电荷复合,而该作用在纳米粒子催化剂体系中应该会大大减少.为了证明这一观点,我们通过溶胶-凝胶法合成了BFO纳米粒子,并进行了Mn掺杂获得了Mn-BFO.光催化水氧化反应表明,纯BFO具有光催化氧化水的活性,析氧数率达到70μmol h^(-1) g^(-1);而Mn掺杂量优化(0.05%)后的Mn-BFO在可见光(λ≥420 nm)照射下的析氧活性大大提高,达到255mmol h^(-1) g^(-1).带隙研究表明,通过改变Mn的掺杂量,可以将Mn-BFO的带隙从2.1 eV调整为1.36 ***计算表明,表面的Fe物种是水氧化的活性位点,而不是Mn物种,因为Mn掺杂后Fe物种的水氧化过电势0.51 V,是所考察的表面Fe和Mn物种中过电势中最低的.因此,Mn-BFO光催化水氧化活性的增强可归因于半导体带隙变窄后吸收更多的可见光、降低了的水氧化过电势以及抑制光生电荷复合这几项的协同效应.这项工作表明,锰掺杂是提高纳米粒子铁电BFO光催化剂固有光催化水氧化活性的有效策略.本文采用溶胶-凝胶法成功制备了锰掺杂的BFO样品,并使用XRD,DRS,Mott-Schottky,XPS和PL等进行了表征.XRD分析结果表明,Mn掺杂后,BFO的(110)和(104)衍射峰向高位衍射角方向位移合并产生一个更宽的峰,表明Mn的掺杂引起BFO晶格结构变形.DRS光谱分析表明,Mn的掺杂可以拓展可见光的吸收,从纯BFO的550 nm吸收边(对应于2.1 eV的带隙)扩展到BFO-2的800 nm(对应于1.46 eV的带隙)吸收带边.这些结果与用DFT计算DOS分析得到的BFO和BFO-2理论带隙值2.05和1.53 eV一致.Mott-Schottky分析表明,BFO和BFO-2是p型半导体,其平带(Vfb)电势分别为1.7和1.6 V vs NHE,VB位置估计分别为2.0和1.9 V vs NHE,而CB位置估计分别为-0.11和0.44 V vs NHE.因此,Mn-BFO在热力学有利于光催化OER但不利于HER.从Mn-BFO的XPS光谱可以看出除了Bi,Fe和O光谱外,也可以在641.20和652.7 eV处观察到出Mn 2p3/2和2p1/2,表明Mn是以Mn3+的形式均匀地掺入BFO的晶格中.对一系列不同含量Mn掺杂的Mn-BFO的光催化OER活性表明研究表明,0.05%Mn掺杂的BFO-2的光催化OER活性最优,其析氧活性达到255μmol h^(-1) g^(-1),这是迄今为止未加载任何助催化剂的BFO的最高固有光催化OER活性值.PL光谱(290 nm激发)显示,与纯BFO相比,BFO-2的荧光强度弱得多,表明Mn的掺杂可以抑制光生电荷的复合.DFT计算显示,BFO的表面Fe活性中心的OER过电势为0.93 V;而对于Mn掺杂的BFO-2,理论计算得到表面Fe中心和Mn中心的析氧过电位分别为0.51和0.60 V.由此可见,Mn掺杂不改变BFO的析氧活性中心,但是可大大降低Fe活性中心OER过电位,这与锰掺杂的BFO-2表现出比BFO更高光催化氧化水的催化活性实验结果相一致.综上所述,在纳米粒子光催化体系中,Mn掺杂的BFO可以促进可见光的吸收,促进光生电荷有效分离,降低表面Fe基活性中心氧化水的过电位,从而显著提高光催化氧化水的活性.Mn的掺杂对于铁电性质的影响及其光催化活性的关系,有待进一步探索.

The potential of the high resolution nuclear track detector (NTD) CR-39 is examined carefully for the measurement of relativistic nuclear projectile fragmentation cross sections and studies of related processes using the experience of many years of such measurements. The charge resolution and the charge resolving power of CR-39 detectors for the measurements of 158 A GeV 207Pb projectiles and their fragments are presented. Exposures of target-detector stacks, the chemical etching procedure and the nuclear track measurements are described in detail discussing precautions and possible errors. The procedures discussed are also valid for other NTDs. A comparison with electronic active detectors is also made considering important detection and measurement aspects. An experimental design proposing the co-use of NTDs with in-use active detectors is described.
