Due to the upcoming demands of next-generation electronic/magnetoelectronic devices with low-energy consumption,emerging correlated materials（such as superconductors,topological insulators and manganites） are one of the highly promising candidates for the *** the past decades,manganites have attracted great interest due to the colossal magnetoresistance effect,charge-spin-orbital ordering,and electronic phase ***,the incapable of deterministic control of those emerging low-dimensional spin structures at ambient condition restrict their possible ***,the understanding and control of the dynamic behaviors of spin order parameters at nanoscale in manganites under external stimuli with low energy consumption,especially at room temperature is highly *** this review,we collected recent major progresses of nanoscale control of spin structures in manganites at low dimension,especially focusing on the control of their phase boundaries,domain walls as well as the topological spin structures（e.g.,skyrmions）.In addition,capacitor-based prototype spintronic devices are proposed by taking advantage of the above control methods in *** capacitor-based structure may provide a new platform for the design of future spintronic devices with low-energy consumption.

Occasionally, the Whipple shields are used for the protection of a space station and a satellite against the meteoroids and orbital debris. In the Whipple shields each layer of the shield depletes part of high speed projectile en- ergy either by breaking the projectile or absorbing its energy. Similarly, this investigation uses the Whipple shields against the shaped charge to protect the light armour such as infantry fighting vehicles with a little modification in their design. The unsteady multiple interactions of shaped charge jet with the Whipple shield package against the steady homogeneous target is scrutinized to optimize the shield thickness. Sim- ulations indicate that the shield thickness of 0.75 mm offers an optimum configuration against the shaped charge. Exper- iments also support this evidence.

The security of digital images transmitted via the Internet or other public media is of the utmost *** encryption is a method of keeping an image secure while it travels across a non-secure communication medium where it could be intercepted by unauthorized *** study provides an approach to color image encryption that could find practical use in various *** proposed method,which combines four chaotic systems,employs singular value decomposition and a chaotic sequence,making it both secure and *** unified average change intensity,the number of pixels’change rate,information entropy analysis,correlation coefficient analysis,compression friendliness,and security against brute force,statistical analysis and differential attacks are all used to evaluate the algorithm’s *** a thorough investigation of the experimental data,it is concluded that the proposed image encryption approach is secure against a wide range of attacks and provides superior compression friendliness when compared to chaos-based alternatives.

Influence of ellagic acid on prostate cancer cell proliferation:A caspase-dependent pathway

Objective:To evaluate the effect of allagic acid treatment on the cell viability of human prostate cancer ***:Ellagic acid(10-100 mol/L) treatment(48 h) of human prostate carcinoma PC3 cells was found to result in a dose-dependent inhibition of cell growth and apoptosis of PC3 cells as assessed by MTT assay,western *** cytometry and confocal ***:We observed that ellagic acid treatment of PC3 cells resulted in a dose dependent inhibition of cell growth/cell *** ellagic acid caused cell growth inhibition was found to be accompanied by induction of apoptosis,as assessed by the cleavage of poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase(PARP) and morphological ***,induction of apoptosis accompanied a decrease in the levels of antiapoptotic protein Bcl-2 and increase in proapoptotic protein *** shifting the Bax:Bcl-2 ratio in favor of *** acid treatment of PC3 cells was also found to result in significant activation of caspases,as shown by the dose dependent decrease in the protein expression of procaspase-3,-6.-8 and -*** ellagic acid-mediated induction of apoptosis was significantly(80%-90%) inhibited by the caspase inhibitor N-benzyloxycarbonyl-Val-Ala-Asp(OMe)-fluoromethylketone(Z-VAD-FMK).Thus these data suggested an essential role of caspases in ellagic acid-mediated apoptosis of PC3 ***:It is tempting to suggest that consumption of tropical pigmented fruits and vegetables could be an effective strategy to combat prostate cancer.

Software crowdsourcing(SW CS)is an evolving software development paradigm,in which crowds of people are asked to solve various problems through an open call(with the encouragement of prizes for the top solutions).Because of its dynamic nature,SW CS has been progressively accepted and adopted in the software ***,issues pertinent to the understanding of requirements among crowds of people and requirements engineers are yet to be clarified and *** the requirements are not clear to the development team,it has a significant effect on the quality of the software *** study aims to identify the potential challenges faced by requirements engineers when conducting the SW–CS based requirements engineering(RE)***,solutions to overcome these challenges are also *** data analysis is performed on the interview data collected from software industry ***,20 SW–CS based RE challenges and their subsequent proposed solutions are devised,which are further grouped under seven *** study is beneficial for academicians,researchers and practitioners by providing detailed SW–CS based RE challenges and subsequent solutions that could eventually guide them to understand and effectively implement RE in SW CS.

In an era of climate change,the availability of empirical data on alpine summit vegetation in the Himalaya is still *** we report the assessment of alpine summit flora in Gulmarg Wildlife Sanctuary,Kashmir *** employed a globally standardized Multi-Summit Approach and four spatially isolated summits spanning an elevation gradient of 210 m(between 3530-3740 m a.s.l.)from natural treeline to nival zone were *** of the summits was carried out in the year 2018 to collect floristic data together with records of soil temperature.A total of 142 vascular plant species were recorded in the sampled *** of the species were of herbaceous growth form and with perennial life *** on Raunkiaer’s life form,hemicryptophytes were the most dominant followed by therophytes and *** summit flora showed the predominance of narrow-endemic species,with broad-and non-endemics declining with elevation.A significant relationship between growth form,Raunkiaer’s life form,and the degree of endemism with elevation was *** species diversity and soil temperature showed a monotonic decrease with increasing ***,soil temperature clearly determined the magnitude of species diversity on the ***,based on floristic composition,the lowest summit had the highest dissimilarity with the rest of the *** present study employed globally standardized protocol to scientifically assess the patterns of plant diversity on the alpine mountain summits of Kashmir Himalaya,which in turn has wide implications towards long-term monitoring of climate change impact on alpine biodiversity in the rapidly warming Himalaya.

Optimizing Fully Convolutional Encoder-Decoder Network for Segmentation of Diabetic Eye Disease

In the emerging field of image segmentation,Fully Convolutional Networks(FCNs)have recently become ***,their effectiveness is intimately linked with the correct selection and fine-tuning of hyperparameters,which can often be a cumbersome manual *** main aim of this study is to propose a more efficient,less labour-intensive approach to hyperparameter optimization in FCNs for segmenting fundus *** this end,our research introduces a hyperparameter-optimized Fully Convolutional Encoder-Decoder Network(FCEDN).The optimization is handled by a novel Genetic Grey Wolf Optimization(G-GWO)*** algorithm employs the Genetic Algorithm(GA)to generate a diverse set of initial *** leverages Grey Wolf Optimization(GWO)to fine-tune these positions within the discrete search *** on the Indian Diabetic Retinopathy Image Dataset(IDRiD),Diabetic Retinopathy,Hypertension,Age-related macular degeneration and Glacuoma ImageS(DR-HAGIS),and Ocular Disease Intelligent Recognition(ODIR)datasets showed that the G-GWO method outperformed four other variants of GWO,GA,and PSO-based hyperparameter optimization *** proposed model achieved impressive segmentation results,with accuracy rates of 98.5%for IDRiD,98.7%for DR-HAGIS,and 98.4%,98.8%,and 98.5%for different sub-datasets within *** results suggest that the proposed hyperparameter-optimized FCEDN model,driven by the G-GWO algorithm,is more efficient than recent deep-learning models for image segmentation *** thereby presents the potential for increased automation and accuracy in the segmentation of fundus images,mitigating the need for extensive manual hyperparameter adjustments.

Hong Kong has a long history of applying masonry retaining walls to provide horizontal platforms and stabilize man-made *** to the sub-tropical climate,some masonry retaining walls are colonized by *** weather,such as typhoons and heavy rains,may cause rupture or root failure of those trees,thus resulting in instability of the retaining walls.A monitoring and warning system for the movement of masonry retaining walls and sway of trees has been designed with the application of fiber Bragg grating(FBG)sensing *** monitoring system is also equipped with a solar power system and 4G data transmission *** key functions of the proposed monitoring system include remote sensing and data access,early warning,and real-time data *** setups and working principles of the monitoring systems and related transducers are *** feasibility,accuracy,serviceability and reliability of this monitoring system have been checked by in-site calibration tests and four-month ***,a two-level interface has been developed for data *** monitoring results show that the monitored masonry retaining wall had a reversible movement up to 2.5 mm during the monitoring ***,it is found that the locations of the maximum strain on trees depend on the crown spread of trees.
