This resea.ch explores the dyna.ic rela.ionships between ecologica. footprint,economic performa.ce,fina.cia. development,energy usa.e,a.d foreign direct investment(FDI)in South a.ia. economies utilizing the pa.el da.a.from 1971 to *** pa.el da.a.a.a.ysis,conventiona. methods genera.ly ignore the issues of cross-sectiona. dependency a.d the heterogenous na.ure of cross-sectiona. *** other concern with the existing resea.ch is tha. most of the studies ignore the significa.ce of ecologica. footprint while eva.ua.ing fina.cia. development a.d FDI a. sources of environmenta. *** longterm rela.ionship a.ong the indica.ors is tested utilizing the Westerlund cointegra.ion *** findings support both environmenta. Kuznets curve a.d pollution ha.en hypotheses for South a.ia. ***,the empirica. findings suggest tha. fina.cia. development increa.es environmenta. conserva.ion while energy usa.e substa.tia.ly disrupts the environment of the selected south a.ia. ***,the heterogeneous ca.sa.ity a.a.ysis revea.s the ca.sa. rela.ionships between the ***,overa.l results recommend tha. the South a.ia. economies need to boost economic growth without compromising the environment,decrea.e fossil fuel usa.e,enha.ce fina.cia. sector growth a.d incentivize environmenta.ly friendly FDI to conserve the environment in the region.
