Electro-optic tuning in composite silicon photonics based on ferroionic 2D materials

Tunable optical materials are indispensable elements in modern optoelectronics,especially in integrated photonics circuits where precise control over the effective refractive index is essential for diverse ***-dimensional materials like transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)and graphene exhibit remarkable optical responses to external ***,achieving distinctive modula.ion across short-wave infrared(SWiR)regions while enabling precise phase control at low signal loss within a compact footprint remains an ongoing *** this work,we unveil the robust electro-refractive response of multilayer ferroionic two-dimensional CuCrP2S6(CCPS)in the near-infrared wavelength *** integra.ing CCPS into silicon photonics(SiPh)microring resonators(MRR),we enhance lightmatter interaction and measurement sensitivity to minute phase and absorption *** show that electrically driven Cu ions can tune the effective refractive index on the order of 2.8×10−3 RiU(refractive index unit)while preserving extinction ra.ios and resonance ***,these devices exhibit low optical losses and excellent modula.ion efficiency of 0.25 *** with a consistent blue shift in the resonance wavelengths among all devices for either pola.ity of the applied *** results outperform earlier findings on phase shifters based on ***,our study demonstrates distinct va.ia.ions in electro-optic tuning sensitivity when compa.ing transverse electric(TE)and transverse magnetic(TM)modes,revea.ing a pola.iza.ion-dependent response that paves the way for diverse applica.ions in light *** combined optoelectronic and ionotronic capa.ilities of two-terminal CCPS devices present extensive opportunities across several *** potential applica.ions range from phased arrays and optical switching to their use in environmental sensing and metrology,optical ima.ing systems,and neuromorphic systems in light-sensitive artificial synapses.

This work investigated the microstructure and impact beha.ior of Mg-4Al-5RE-xGd(RE represents La-Ce mischmetal;x=0,0.2,0.7 wt.%)alloys cast by high-pressure die casting(HPDC),permanent mold casting(PMC),and sand casting(SC)*** results indicated that with increa.ing Gd content,the grain sizes of the HPDC alloy had a slight change,but the grains of the PMC and SC alloys were significantly ***,the a.icular Al_(11)RE_(3)phase was modified into the short-rod shape under the three casting *** impact toughness of the studied alloy was mainly dominated by the absorbed energy during the crack *** increa.ing Gd content,the impact toughness of the studied alloy monotonically increased due to the lower tendency of the modified second phase toward crack *** impact stress was higher than the tensile stress,exhibiting a strain rate sensitivity for the mecha.ical response;however,the HPDC alloy had an inconsistent strain rate sensitivity during the impact event due to the transforma.ion of the deforma.ion mecha.ism from twinning to slip with increa.ing *** dimples covered the fracture surface of the fine-grained HPDC alloys,indica.ing a typical ductile ***,due to the deficient{1012}twinning activity and the suppressed grain boundary sliding during the impact event,the HPDC alloys showed insufficient plastic deforma.ion capa.ity.

Herein,we employ the threshold energy neutron analysis(TENA)technique to introduce the world's first active interroga.ion system to detect special nuclear materials(SNMs),including U-235 and *** system utilizes a DD neutron generator based on inertial electrosta.ic confinement(iEC)to interrogate suspicious *** detect secondary neutrons produced during fission reactions induced in SNMs,a tensioned metastable fluid detector(TMFD)is *** current status of the system's development is reported in this paper,accompa.ied by the results from experiments conducted to detect 10 g of highly enriched ura.ium(HEU).Notably,the experimental findings demonstrate a distinct difference in the count rates of measurements with and without *** difference in count rates surpasses two times the standard devia.ion,indica.ing a confidence level of more than 96% for identifying the presence of *** paper presents and extensively discusses the proof-of-principle experimental results,along with the system's planned trajectory.

This paper aims to increase the diagnosis accuracy of the fault classifica.ion of power transformers by introducing a new off-line hybrid model based on a combina.ion subset of the et method(C-set)&modified fuzzy C-mean algorithm(MFCM)and the optimizable multiclass-SVM(MCSVM).The innova.ion in this paper is shown in terms of solving the predicaments of outliers,boundary proportion,and unequal data existing in both tra.itional and intelligence *** into considera.ion the closeness of dissolved gas analysis(DGA)data,the C-set method is implemented to subset the DGA data samples based on their type of faults within unrepeated ***,the MFCM is used for removing outliers from DGA samples by combining highly similar data for every subset within the same cluster to obtain the optimized training data(OTD)*** is also used to minimize dimensiona.ity of DGA samples and the uncertainty of transformer condition *** that,the optimized MCSVM is trained by using the(OTD).The proposed model diagnosis accuracy is 93.3%.The obtained results indicate that our model significantly improves the fault identifica.ion accuracy in power transformers when compared with other conventional and intelligence models.

The widespread availa.ility of digital multimedia data has led to a new challenge in digital *** source camera.identifica.ion algorithms usually rely on va.ious traces in the capturing ***,these traces have become increa.ingly difficult to extract due to wide availa.ility of va.ious image processing *** Neural Networks(CNN)-based algorithms have demonstrated good discrimina.ive capa.ilities for different brands and even different models of camera ***,their performances is not ideal in case of distinguishing between individual devices of the same model,because cameras of the same model typically use the same optical lens,image sensor,and image processing algorithms,that result in minimal overall *** this paper,we propose a camera forensics algorithm based on multi-scale feature fusion to address these *** proposed algorithm extracts different local features from feature maps of different scales and then fuses them to obtain a comprehensive feature *** representa.ion is then fed into a subsequent camera fingerprint classifica.ion *** upon the Swin-T network,we utilize Transformer Blocks and Graph Convolutional Network(GCN)modules to fuse multi-scale features from different stages of the backbone ***,we conduct experiments on established datasets to demonstrate the fea.ibility and effectiveness of the proposed approach.

The a.ility to make accurate energy predictions while considering all related energy factors allows production plants,regulatory bodies,and governments to meet energy demand and assess the effects of energy-sa.ing *** energy consumption falls within normal parameters,it will be possible to use the developed model to predict energy consumption and develop improvements and mitiga.ing measures for energy *** objective of this model is to accurately predict energy consumption without data limita.ions and provide results that are ea.ily *** proposed model is an implementa.ion of the stacked Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)snapshot ensemble combined with the Fast Fourier Transform(FFT)and *** and Berard’s individual Household Electric-Power Consumption(iHEPC)dataset incorporated with weather data are used to analyse the model’s accuracy with predicting energy *** model is trained,and the results measured using Root Mean Square Error(RMSE),Mean Absolute Error(MAE),Mean Absolute Percentage Error(MAPE),and coefficient of determina.ion(R^(2))metrics are 0.020,0.013,0.017,and 0.999,*** stacked LSTM snapshot ensemble performs better than the compared models based on prediction accuracy and minimized *** results of this study show that prediction accuracy is high,and the model’s sta.ility is high as *** model shows that high levels of accuracy prove accurate predictive a.ility,and together with high levels of sta.ility,the model has good interpreta.ility,which is not typically accounted for in ***,this study shows that it can be inferred.
