Privacy-preserved learning from non-i.i.d data in fog-assisted ioT:A federated learning approach

With the prevalence of the internet of Things(ioT)systems,smart cities comprise complex networks,including sensors,actuators,appliances,and cyber *** complexity and heterogeneity of smart cities have become vulnerable to sophisticated cyber-attacks,especially privacy-related attacks such as inference and data poisoning *** Learning(FL)has been regarded as a hopeful method to enable distributed learning with privacypreserved intelligence in ioT *** though the significance of developing privacy-preserving FL has drawn as a great research interest,the current research only concentrates on FL with independent identically distributed(i.i.d)data and few studies have addressed the non-i.i.d *** is known to be vulnerable to Generative Adversarial Network(GAN)attacks,where an adversary can presume to act as a contributor participating in the training process to acquire the private data of other *** paper proposes an innovative Privacy Protection-based Federated Deep Learning(PP-FDL)framework,which accomplishes data protection against privacy-related GAN attacks,along with high classification rates from non-i.i.d ***-FDL is designed to enable fog nodes to cooperate to train the FDL model in a way that ensures contributors have no access to the data of each other,where class probabilities are protected utilizing a private identifier generated for each *** PP-FDL framework is evaluated for image classification using simple convolutional networks which are trained using MNiST and CiFAR-10 *** empirical results have revealed that PF-DFL can achieve data protection and the framework outperforms the other three state-of-the-art models with 3%–8%as accuracy improvements.

The centrifugal pump is a prevalent power equipment widely used in different engineering patterns,and the impeller blade wrap angle significantly impacts its performance.A numerical investigation was conducted to analyze the influence of the blade wrap angle on flow characteristics and energy distribution of a centrifugal pump evaluated as a low specific speed with a value of *** study investigates six impellermodels that possess varying blade wrap angles(95°,105°,115°,125°,135°,and 145°)that were created while maintaining the same volute and other geometrical *** investigation of energy loss was conducted to evaluate the values of total and entropy generation rates(TEG,EGR).The fluid-structure interaction was considered numerically using the software tools ANSYS Fluent and *** elastic structural dynamic equation was used to estimate the structural response,while the shear stress transport k–ωturbulence model was utilized for the fluid domain *** findings suggest that the blade wrap angle has a significant influence on the efficiency of the *** impeller featuring a blade wrap angle of 145°exhibits higher efficiency,with a notable increase of 3.76%relative to the original *** in the blade wrap angle impact the energy loss,shaft power,and pump *** model with a 145°angle exhibited a maximum equivalent stress of 14.8MPa and a total deformation of 0.084 *** results provide valuable insights into the intricate flow mechanism of the centrifugal pump,particularly when considering various blade wrap angles.

in this work,we have explored wormhole(WH)solutions in F(R,L_(m))gravity by assuming the Morris-Thorne WH metric and F(R,Lm)=R/2+(1+γR)L_(m),whereγis the free model *** determined the WH solutions by utilizing two newly developed shape functions(SF)that satisfy all basic conditions for a WH’s physical *** also observe that the null energy condition(NEC)behaves ***,for both models,we use the volume integral quantifier(ViQ)and Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff(TOV)equation to determine how much exotic matter is needed near the WH throat and the stability of the *** extensive detailed discussions of the matter components have been done via graphical *** obtained WH geometries meet the physically acceptable conditions for a stable wormhole.

This study explores the role of Bedouins in preserving Palestinian land through their own means of community resilience through the concept of“Art of being”and its entailed“Arts of presence and persistence”.This is examined through the correlation between Bedouin lifestyle and the spatial distribution of structures within“Al-Kurshan”Bedouin clan in Area C in the West *** on a mixed qualitative and spatial methodologies,information was gathered through semi-structured interviews with Al-Kurshan Bedouins and employees of organizations supporting Bedouins,on-site observation,and analyses of maps and photos,in addition to drawings and *** spatial distribution of Bedouin built structures is analyzed in relation to landscape and climate,social aspects within the families,and available service and sectorial *** analyses give insight on how Bedouins struggle against adopting other *** study shows that the Bedouins are slowly forced to negotiate their semi-nomadic lifestyle,but resist giving up their right to exist against the threat of forced *** maintain their“Art of being”which partly represents their own way of safeguarding Palestinian lands from *** study contributes to the wider discussion of spatial dynamics of Bedouins and their community resilience within the Palestinian geopolitical context.

Moringa oleifera is well known as a highly nutritious plant and a water purifier in fish *** fish has many impressive qualities making them very suitable for ***,this study aimed to evaluate the effect of supplementation of Moringa oleifera aqueous extract(MOAE)at varying concentrations(0,100,200,and 400 mg/kg diet for 90 days)on growth performance,hematological,and some biochemical parameters of Nile ***,histological changes and immunohistochemical expression of caspase 3 in gills and livers were *** enhancements(Pin the final weight,weight gain,specific growth rate,red blood cells,hemoglobin,packed cell volume,white blood cells,and total serum protein were observed in fish fed 200 mg MOAE/kg diet compared with other ***,a significant reduction(Piver and kidney function tests and non-significant changes in lipid profile were *** the other hand,fish fed 400 mg MOAE/kg diet revealed disturbance in the corresponding *** histological degenerative changes were detected in the gills and liver of fish fed 400 mg MOAE/kg *** comparison,fish fed 200 mg MOAE/kg diet showed the best histo-architectures of these organs compared with other *** immune expressions of caspase 3 were determined where gills and liver of fish fed 400 mg MOAE/kg diet revealed extensive number of positive caspase 3 cells indicating severe apoptotic ***,a dietary MOAE at 200 mg/kg diet is recommended to improve the growth performance,hematological parameters,liver and kidney functions in Nile ***,caution must be considered when using MOAE at a concentration over 200 mg/kg diet.

This study explores the challenges faced by congenitally blind individuals in navigating urban ***,this research investigates the factors that contribute to the construction of city mental mapping for individuals who are born ***-one congenitally blind individuals from the University of Jordan were asked to define and describe specific elements of the city based on their personal experiences and ***,participants were guided through two urban paths:familiar and *** participants were asked to complete a survey regarding their experiences during the *** collected data was analyzed by using thematic *** results revealed that congenitally blind individuals construct their mental image of the city by using their three senses of touching,hearing,and smelling,as well as their safety and *** mental image consists of five key elements:links,reference points,areas,separators,and *** the small size of the study sample and the specificity of the context,the results of this study will tremendously help planners in designing highly inclusive urban *** characteristics that can be recognized by the blinds will enhance their accessibility of urban spaces,encourage independent mobility,increase the quality of life and social inclusion for them.
