A new type of cerium borate glass-ceramic is prepared and studied. The microstructure and crystallization behaviors of the glass samples were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), electron diffraction (ED), and 31P NMR spectroscopy. The microstructures of samples contain 2 are amorphous in nature. More addition of CeO2 transforms the glass to glass-ceramics without thermal annealing. The morphological change of the microstructure of these materials was followed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The obtained results have revealed that the addition of more than 0.8 mol% CeO2 can promote nucleation and crystallization routes that are combined with the establishment of diverse crystalline phases. Glasses with lower contents of CeO2showed no tendency to crystallization. The crystals of CeO2 containing glasses were spheroid like morphology that was assigned to the three-dimensional fast growth of the well-formed structural species in the boro-apatite phase. Background: Obesity is a major health problem worldwide and is involved in etiology of breast cancer. Egypt is ranked among the highest globally in obesity problem. Body mass index (BMI) is the most widely used tool to define obesity. Body surface area (BSA) is another measure used widely in clinical practice, particularly in calculating doses of chemotherapeutic agents. Both Body Surface Area (BSA) and Body Mass Index (BMI) rely on weight and height and can be used as indicators of obesity. Patients and Methods: This is a cross-sectional observational study that was carried out in the department of clinical oncology, Faculty of medicine, Ain Shams University Hospitals. Medical records of patients scheduled for adjuvant chemotherapy were revised regarding age, comorbidity, side of the tumor, stage, and type of the surgery performed. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) to detect ER, PR, and Her2 and molecular subtypes of the tumors was recorded. BMI and BSA were calculated for all patients. Inclusion Criteria: Female patients with newly diagnosed breast cancer, cases that didn’t start the adjuvant treatment, data for IHC available, weight, and height of the patients recorded in the files. Exclusion Criteria: Male breast cancer cases, bilateral cases, metastatic cases, age above 80 years, cases with multiple primaries. Results: The mean age of patients was 48 ± 11 years and 60% of them were premenopausal. The mean weight in Kgs was 81 ± 13 and the mean height in cm was 156 cm ± 5. Mean BMI was 33.8 ± 6.0 and mean BSA was 1.84 ± 0.15. Comorbidities were present in 10.6% of patients. In the studied group of patients, tumors were more common of right side (55.7%), T2 tumor (40%), N1 (40.9%), and stage III in 57.4%. Regarding the hormonal receptor status, most of the patients were ER+ (76.5%), PR+ (66.1%) and Her2? (73.9%). Cerium Pyrophosphate glass is prepared and investigated by different structural techniques. Resin modified glass ionomer cements (RGICs) of pyro cerium phosphate (40CeO2-60P2Os) composition doped with different concentrations from GaCl Phthalocyanine (C32H16ClGaN8) have been also prepared and studied for the first time. Different techniques have been applied to shed?light on the structural changes induced upon addition of GaCl-Phthalocyanine. The corresponding changes in material structure are widely approved by results of 31P magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance (MAS-NMR), X-Ray diffraction and FTIR spectroscopy. The network structure of both base glass and GIC free from C32H16ClGaN8 is confirmed to be amorphous. Doping even with little concentration from GaCl-Phthalocyanine leads to changing the network structure from amorphous to a highly crystalline one. Formulation of GaCl-Phthalocyanine with water soluble acid leads to monocrystalline structure due to monoclinic lattice structure of Phthalocyanine. Carbonated hydroxyl cerium and gallium phosphate structural phases are evidenced to be formed upon GaCl-Phthalocyanine addition. Presence of such bioactive phases can support that the prepared GICs of considerable C32H16ClGaN8 concentration (1 and 1.5 mol%) can be applied as biocompatible materials used in biodental applications. The morphologies of some selected samples were characterized by SEM. The micrographs have revealed that formulating of cerium phosphate powder of the amorphous glass with polymeric acid successfully led to the formation of CePO4-H2O nanofibrous bundles. But formulation with GIC containing GaCl-Phthalocyanine can simply form co-aligned and elongated nanofibers (15 - 40 nm thick and up to ca. 1.2 m long). The formed nanofibers are mainly consisted of hydrated and carbonated CePO4 and GaPO4 nanocrystals. The hardness of the cemented material increases with increasing GaCl-Phthalocyanine concentrations.

Soluble sugar is a key quality trait of soybean *** developed rapid and economic extraction and quantification methods for seed soluble sugars using an ultra-high performance liquid chromatography system with a refractive index *** evaluated the soluble sugar compositions of 1164 soybean accessions collected from diverse ecoregions and grown in multiple locations and *** soluble sugar(TSS)content was influenced by accession type,year of cultivation,and *** mean contents of fructose,glucose,sucrose,raffinose,stachyose and TSS were 3.31,5.21,55.60,6.60,35.47,and 106.19 mg g^(-1),*** highest mean TSS content(108.71 mg g^(-1)) was observed in accessions from Northern Region of *** contained higher contents of sucrose,raffinose,and TSS,whereas landraces had a higher content of *** accessions with mean TSS contents>130 mg g^(-1) were identified as elite soybean *** was correlated with sucrose,raffinose,stachyose,protein,oil and total *** main soluble sugar components were correlated with latitude and longitude,indicating that the geographical origin of the accessions affected their seed soluble sugar *** developed methods and elite identified accessions can be used in the food and feed industry and in soybean breeding programs aimed at improving soybean seed nutrition.

Dairy proteins included sweet whey solids （SWS）, whey protein concentrate （WPC）, milk protein concentrate （MPC） or sodium caseinate （SC） at level of 10% by weight were extruded with corn, rice, oat flour and other ingredients in a twin screw extruder. The functional properties and textural of crispy balls snacks （CBS） have been studied. The results showed that different protein types were significantly affected on functional and chemical properties of extrudate. The bulk density of CBS-SC was the lowest due to the highest expansion, while CBS-WPC retained the most water in the product, whereas, the maximum value of water solubility index was obtained in the CBS-CWP. Results also showed that protein digestibility value of extrudates had higher than non-extruded products. Color analysis of CBS-SC and CBS-SWS products had the highest AE values （P ≤ 0.05）, whereas CBS-SWS was statistically higher than CBS-SC in rank. Also, it was noticed that CBS-SWS had the highest value of browning index. The hardness of all extrudates products was desirable for expanded crispy where ranged from 17.3 N to 12.18 N. Generally, MPC and SC incorporated with cereal flour had acceptable quality characteristics and improved significantly the functional and texture properties of crispy balls products.

生物炭具有改良土壤和节水保肥增产的效应,针对榆林沙土地持水保肥能力低的问题,将滴灌施肥与生物炭相结合,探究生物炭施用量和滴灌量对土壤理化性质和马铃薯生长的影响。大田试验设置2个滴灌量水平80%ET_(c)(W1)和100%ET_(c)(W2),5个生物炭水平0(B0)、10(B10)、20(B20)、30(B30)和50 t·hm^(-2)(B50),共10个处理,生育期内对土壤容重、孔隙度、有机碳、土壤水分、速效钾、硝态氮、干物质累积量及产量等进行观测。结果表明,随着生物炭施用量的增加,0—20 cm土层土壤容重显著降低,土壤孔隙度、土壤有机碳含量和土壤速效钾含量显著增加,土壤硝态氮含量和含水量先增加后减小。随着滴灌量增加,0—20 cm土层土壤容重降低,土壤孔隙度和含水量增大。生物炭的施用仅对生长后期马铃薯干物质累积量促进效果显著,表现为随着生物炭施用量的增加先增加后减少。马铃薯块茎产量和水分利用效率随着施炭量的增加先增加后减小,马铃薯块茎产量随着滴灌量的增大而增大,W2B30处理下最高,为58263.89 kg·hm^(-2),但与W1B20、W1B30、W2B20处理无显著差异,而水分利用效率最大值出现在W1B20处理,所以从产量、水分利用效率以及经济的角度考虑,W1B20可作为本试验条件下较适宜的水炭组合。

Survey Study of Acute and Long Term Effects of Female Genital Mutilation among Women in Sharkia Governorate

Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the acute and long-term effects of female genital mutilation (FGM) among women in Sharkia Governorate. Method: This was a cross-sectional descriptive study carried out in Zagazic University Hospital (ZUH) over a two years period from January 2012 to January 2014. The overall sample consisted of 1500 women. An interview was utilized to collect the necessary data. The questionnaires were administered face to face, in Arabic language. Four open and 25 close-ended questions were used to collect socio-demographic data of the sample: women’s experience about the circumcision, occurrence of health hazards after circumcision, and sexual effects on married women. Intention of all women (circumcised or not) to circumcise?their daughters was also documented. Results: This study revealed that the prevalence of FGM in?Sharkia Governorate was about 85.5%. The majority of circumcised women were Muslims (94.4%), married (87.9%), housewife (81.4%), illiterate or with low education level (45.5% and 38.5% respectively) and from rural areas (82.2%). The most common types of FGM were type I (49.2%) and type II (50.8%). The most common motive of FGM was the religious cause (46.6%). The majority of circumcised women (59%) denied the occurrence of any acute complication. The reported acute complications in this study were bleeding (19.6%), urine retention (2.3%), infection (6.3%) and difficult walking (12.8%). The majority of circumcised women (86%) denied the occurrence of any problems at labor related to circumcision. The reported problems at labor in this study were narrowing of introitus (8.4%), laceration (0.7%) and bleeding (4.9%). In this study, 74.6% of circumcised women believed that there was no effect of circumcision on their sexual satisfaction and 92.1% of circumcised women believed that there was no effect of circumcision on their husband’s sexual satisfaction.
