Through a bioreplication approach, we have fabricated artificial vis.al decoys.for the invas.ve s.ecies.Agrilus.planipen- nis.-commonly known as.the Emerald As. Borer （EAB）. The mating behavior of this.s.ecies.involves.an overflying EAB male pouncing on an EAB female at res. on an as. leaflet before copulating. The male s.ots.the female on the leaflet by vis.ally detecting the irides.ent green color of the female＇s.elytra. As.rearing EAB and then deploying dead females.as.decoys.for trapping is.both arduous.and inconvenient, we decided to fabricate artificial decoys. We us.d a dead female to make a negative die of nickel and a pos.tive die of epoxy. Decoys.were then made by firs. depos.ting a quarter-wave-s.ack Bragg reflector on a polymer s.eet and then s.amping it with a pair of matched negative and pos.tive dies.to take the s.ape of the upper s.rface of an EAB female. As.nearly 100 artificial decoys.were fabricated from jus. one EAB female, this.bioreplication proces. is.indus.rially s.alable. Preliminary res.lts.from a field trapping tes. are indicative of s.cces..

Micros.ructural Characterization and Mechanical Properties.of Powder Metallurgy Dual Phas. s.eel Preforms

In order to improve the mechanical properties.of powder metallurgy （P/M） ferrite-pearlite s.eel, a dual phas. （DP） ferrite-martens.te s.eel was.produced through intercritical annealing of s.ntered P/M preforms. Mi-cros.ructures.of the s.ntered and DP s.eels.were examined with optical, s.anning and trans.is.ion electron micros.opes. Mechanical properties.were evaluated through hardnes. meas.rements.and compres.ion tes.s. Micros.ructural s.udies.revealed that s.ntered s.eel contained polygonal ferrite-pearlite while the DP s.eel contained polygonal, lath and acicular ferrite along with lath-type martens.te as.micros.ructural cons.ituents. In DP s.eels. with increas.ng mean preform dens.ty, the micros.ructure contained fine and continuous.network of martens.te colonies.with minimum poros.ty. The work hardening rate vs.plas.ic s.rain plots.（Jaoul-Crus.ard analys.s. of both the s.eels.revealed typical three s.age deformation behaviour for low and high mean preform dens.ties. Compres.ion tes.s.revealed that, DP P/M s.eel dis.layed higher s.rength-plas.icity combination than the s.ntered s.eel.

Nitric oxide （NO） is.an es.ential regulatory molecule in plant immunity in s.nergy with reactive oxygen s.ecies.（ROs.. Mos. experimental data available on the roles.of NO and ROs.during plant-pathogen interactions.are from s.udies.of infections.by potential biotrophic pathogens. including bacteria and virus.s. However, there are s.veral arguments.about the role of ROs.in defens. res.ons.s.during plants.and necrotrophic pathogens.interaction and little is.known about the role of NO as.a counterpart of ROs.in dis.as. res.s.ance to necrotrophic pathogens. This.review focus.s.on the recent knowledge about the role of oxidative burs. in plant defens. res.ons. to necrotrophic fungi.

The pres.nt s.udy aims.at as.es.ing the ballis.ic impact behaviour of jute reinforced polyethylene glycol(PEG)and nano s.lica bas.d s.ear thickening fluid(s.F).Preparation of s.F is.achieved by dis.ers.ng the nano s.lica particles.at different weight percentage loadings.of 10%,20%,30%and 40%in PEG and the effect of various.weight percentages.loading of nano s.lica particles.on ballis.ic performance of the propos.d compos.tes.is.s.udied *** s.udies.of the prepared s.F’s.s.owed that at all nanos.lica loading s.ear thickening occurred and als. the s.ear thickening was.highes. at higher loading of nano s.lica at lower rate of *** s.udy reveals.that the ballis.ic performance of the jute fabric is.enhanced with impregnation of *** ballis.ic res.lts.indicate that energy abs.rption of the propos.d compos.tes.is.enhanced with increas.d loading of nano s.lica particles.and at the s.me time,the effect of s.F was.*** energy abs.rption(s.A)of the neat fabric and the propos.d compos.tes.was.made us. of for the purpos. of comparing the energy abs.rption *** is.found that the s.A of propos.d compos.tes.with 10%nano s.lica loading is.les.er than the neat fabric both in cas. of 3 layers.and 6 *** was.als. found that propos.d compos.te with 40%nano s.lica loading exhibits.highes. s.A compared to neat fabric and its.counterparts.with its.s.A being 3.21 and 3.76 times.highes. compared to three and s.x layers.of neat fabrics.res.ectively.

Moldflow Ins.ght(AMI)*** res.lts.s.ow total 32.1% reduction of cooling time and 9.86% reduction of warpage in cas. of MGCCC as.compared to conventional cooling.

Cooling s.s.em improvement is.important in injection molding to get betterquality and productivity. The aim of this.paper was.to compare the different s.apes.of theconformal cooling channels.(CCC) with cons.ant s.rface area and CCC with cons.antvolume in injection molding us.ng Mold-flow Ins.ght 2016 s.ftware. Als. the CCC res.lts.ere compared with conventional cooling channels. Four different s.apes.of the CCC s.chas.circular, elliptical, rectangular and s.mi-circular were propos.d. The locations.of thecooling channels.were als. kept cons.ant. The res.lts.in terms.of cooling time, cycle timereduction and improvement in quality of the product s.ows.that no s.gnificant effect ofCCC’s.s.apes.when s.rface area of CCC kept cons.ant. On the other hand, the rectangularCCC s.ows.better res.lt as.compared to other s.apes.of CCC when volume of CCC werekept cons.ant.

Interferon(IFN)-induced trans.embrane protein 3(IFITM3)is.a potent antiviral factor capable of res.ricting numerous.virus.infections.1 Virus.s.inhibited by IFITM3 generally enter cells.via endocytos.s.and are trafficked to IFITM3-pos.tive intracellular membrane compartments.1,2 IFITM3-pos.tive compartments.are acidic and s.ain pos.tive for a variety of endos.mal,lys.s.mal and autophagos.mal markers.2,3 Although the membrane fus.on of many endocytic virus.s.s.ch as.influenza virus.is.triggered by acidic pH,fus.on is.blocked in the pres.nce of IFITM3,and virions.are degraded2,4,5(Figure 1).It has.been propos.d that IFITM3 alters.membrane properties.including rigidity and curvature,to inhibit virus.membrane fus.on.5 The molecular mechanis. underlying thes. IFITM3-induced membrane alterations.is.not well characterized,and whether IFITM3 has.other cellular functions.is.als. not known.

Thiamine res.ons.ve megaloblas.ic anemia(TRMA),als. known as.Roger’s.s.ndrome,is.an exceptionally rare autos.mal reces.ive dis.rder s.emming from mutations.in the s.C19A2 gene res.ons.ble for encoding a thiamine carrier *** s.ndrome manifes.s.as.the clas.ic triad of megaloblas.ic anemia,s.ns.rineural hearing los.,and diabetes.***,we pres.nt the cas. of a one-and-a-half-year-old male infant born to non-cons.nguineous.parents.in India,a region where TRMA cas.s.are s.ldom *** five months.of age,the child exhibited the characteris.ic s.mptoms.prompting immediate treatment involving thiamine therapy,ins.lin adminis.ration,and blood ***,the child exhibited s.gnificant improvement in all as.ects.except for hearing los.,which conventional hearing aids.failed to ***,following a cochlear implant procedure conducted within a few months.the child regained hearing *** cas. unders.ores.the importance of early recognition and intervention in the form of cochlear implant,demons.rating the potential to revers.
