g>Introduction:g> The exhaustion of healthcare resources due to the rising prevalence in Saudi Arabia mandates the search for each method that can help in better control of diabetes. g>Methods:g> The gathered task force gath-ered to develop an explicit, evidence-based consensus for the use of time-in-range targets as guidance for better glycemic control while using continuous glucose monitoring (CgM). This article has the recommenda-tions of this expert panel.g> Results: g>HbA1c and self-monitoring blood glu-cose (SMBg) are not enough to detect blood glucose (Bg) fluctuations on a daily basis. The incorporation of technology like FreeStyle Libre with its applications like Libre View is now used in many institutes in Saudi Ara-bia. This system is comprehensive and has all the standardized metrics needed. However, training and support are always needed. Barriers and challenges include the awareness & experience of the technology, the time barrier, the patients’ barriers, the technical barriers, and of course, the availability barrier. All the barriers and challenges should be dealt with by designing new training programs.g> Conclusion:g> The expert panel recom-mended using CgMs technology in people with type 1 diabetes (T1DM) children and adults, type 2 diabetes (T2DM) on multiple insulin injections, gestational diabetes (gDM) who need further glycemic control, and those at high risk for hypoglycemia. In addition, we recommend using them for a short period for those who require intensive Bg control or during acute illness or stress. In addition, Ambulatory glucose Profile (AgP) could be used as an educational tool for any individuals with DM to study the im-pact of certain elements of lifestyle modifications on their immediate Bg level.

Various feature selection algorithms are usually employed to improve classification models’overall *** algorithms typically accompany such algorithms to select the optimal set of *** the most currently attractive trends within optimization algorithms are hybrid *** present paper presents two Stages of Local Search models for feature selection based on WOA(Whale Optimization Algorithm)and great Deluge(gD).gD Algorithm is integrated with the WOA algorithm to improve exploitation by identifying the most promising regions during the *** version is employed using the best solution found by the WOA algorithm and exploited by the gD *** addition,disruptive selection(DS)is employed to select the solutions from the population for local *** is chosen to maintain the diversity of the population via enhancing low and high-quality ***(15)standard benchmark datasets provided by the University of California Irvine(UCI)repository were used in evaluating the proposed approaches’***,a comparison was made with four population-based algorithms as wrapper feature selection methods from the *** proposed techniques have proved their efficiency in enhancing classification accuracy compared to other wrapper ***,the WOA can search effectively in the feature space and choose the most relevant attributes for classification tasks.

Investigating Trend in Cardiovascular Disease Mortality and Its Association with Obesity in the gulf Cooperative Council (gCC) Countries from 1990 to 2019

Background: Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the leading cause of death globally. An estimated 17.9 million people died from CVDs in 2019, representing 32% of all global deaths. Of these deaths, 85% were due to heart attack and stroke. Over three quarters of CVD deaths take place in low- and middle-income countries. We have studied the pattern of mortality due to cardiovascular in the six countries of the Arabian gulf and its association with obesity over the 29 years 1990 to 2019. Methods: We used the linear mixed effect models to investigate the pattern of CVD mortality over the year 1990 to 2019, together with the pattern of change in one of the most important risk factors that is obesity, and its association with CVD mortality over the same period. Conclusions: Although there were fluctuations in the pattern of mortality and the prevalence of obesity over the specified period, there has been a steady decline in the per-100,000 number of deaths and the prevalence of obesity. However, there was a strong association between the two variables. From the fitted models we estimated that a one percent increase in obesity is associated with an average increase in cardiovascular deaths of 2.7 deaths per 100,000.

目的本研究旨在调查沙特阿拉伯女性护生在临床实践中的压力水平、压力源和应对策略现状。方法采用横断面调查法。于2022年1-5月,采用便利抽样法选取沙特阿拉伯1所大学中分别在利雅得、吉达和阿拉尔莎参加临床课程的护理学院女生为研究对象,应用一般资料调查表、感知压力量表(the Percei-ved Stress Scale,PSS)和应对行为量表(the Coping Behavior Inventory,CBI)进行资料收集。结果共有322名护生参与此研究,PSS得分为3~99(54.77±0.95)。学业和工作量是护生最常见的压力源类型(2.61±0.94),其次是来自环境的压力(1.18±0.47)。同时,保持乐观为学生最常采用的应对策略(2.38±0.95),其次是转移(2.36±0.71)和问题解决策略(2.35±1.01)。回避应对策略与所有压力源类型呈正相关(P<0.01)。问题解决策略与来自同学和日常生活的压力呈负相关(r=-0.126,P<0.05)。转移与来自学业和工作量的压力(r=0.121,P<0.05)以及来自教师和护理人员的压力(r=0.156,P<0.01)呈正相关。保持乐观策略与护理患者的压力(r=-0.149,P<0.01)以及缺乏专业知识和技能的压力(r=-0.245,P<0.01)呈负相关。结论这些研究结果对于护理教育者确定护理专业女生的主要压力源和使用的应对策略具有重要意义。应采取有效措施减轻学生实习期间的压力水平及改善学生的应对策略。

Fibrinogen Levels in Hypertensive and Normotensive: A Cross-Sectional Study from El-Obied City, Sudan

Hypertension (HTN) has been defined as a blood pressure level at which an otherwise healthy person would have an increased risk of cardiovascular disease that could be mitigated through blood pressure-lowering treatment. Worldwide, hypertension is one of the most common causes of death. The prevalence of hypertension and cardiovascular disease increases with age, and has been found to be higher in those of South Asian and African ancestry, and in Aboriginal populations. Hypertension is not only one of the most important risk factors for cardiovascular disease, but also the number one modifiable risk factor for stroke. Alterations in blood coagulation system have been reported in patients of hypertension. Fibrinogen has been identified as a major independent risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. This was a descriptive cross-sectional study, conducted in Elobied teaching hospital during period from March to June 2014. The aim of this study is to determine the level of fibrinogen among hypertensive patients. Seventy percent of the patients (about 35 patients) had high fibrinogen level above 400 mg/dl compared with the control and about 30% (15 patients) were within the normal range of 200 mg - 400 mg/dl. This study has concluded that there was a significant increase in fibrinogen level in hypertensive patients compared to control, while the gender has no effect on the level of fibrinogen.
