This experimenta. study is performed to investiga.e hea. tra.sfer performa.ce of a.multi-hea. pipe cooling device in the condition of different filling ra.ios (40%, 60%, 80% a.d 100%) a.d different consta.t hea. fluxes (10 - 30 W). Here, pure wa.er (distilled wa.er) a.d gra.hene oxide (GO)/wa.er na.ofluids a.e employed respectively a. working fluid. GO/wa.er na.ofluids were synthesized by the modified Hummers method with 0.05%, 0.10%, 0.15%, a.d 0.20% volume concentra.ions. Multi-hea. pipe is fa.rica.ed from copper;the hea.ing a.d cooling sections a.e the sa.e size a.d both a.e connected by four circula. pa.a.lel tubes. Tempera.ure fields a.d therma. resista.ce a.e mea.ured for different filling ra.io, hea. fluxes a.d volume concentra.ions. The results indica.ed tha. the therma. performa.ce of hea. pipe increa.ed with increa.ing the concentra.ion of GO na.opa.ticles in the ba.e fluid, while the ma.imum hea. tra.sfer enha.cement wa. observed a. 0.20% volume concentra.ion. GO/wa.er na.ofluids showed lower therma. resista.ce compa.ed to pure wa.er;the optima. therma. resista.ce wa. obta.ned a. 100% filling cha.ge ra.io with 0.20% volume concentra.ion. Studies were a.so demonstra.ed tha. hea. tra.sfer coefficient of the hea. pipe significa.tly increa.es with increa.ing the input hea. flux a.d GO na.opa.ticles concentra.ion.

This experimenta. study is performed to investiga.e hea. tra.sfer performa.ce of a.multi-hea. pipe in the vertica. orienta.ion using pure wa.er a.d GO （gra.hene oxide）/wa.er na.ofluid. GO/wa.er na.ofluids were synthesized by the modified Hummers method with 0.05%, 0.1%, 0.15%, a.d 0.2% volume concentra.ions. The therma. performa.ce ha. been investiga.ed with va.ying hea. flux in the ra.ge of 10-30 W a.d 100% fill cha.ge ra.io. Wa.l tempera.ure, therma. resista.ce, a.d hea. tra.sfer coefficient of the hea. pipe a.e mea.ured a.d compa.ed with those for the hea. pipe using pure wa.er. The experimenta. results show tha. the eva.ora.or wa.l tempera.ure with GO na.ofluid is lower tha. tha. of the ba.e fluid. a.so, the hea. pipe tha. cha.ged with na.ofluids showed lower therma. resista.ce compa.ed with pure wa.er. Hea. tra.sfer enha.cement is ca.sed by suspended na.opa.ticles a.d is pronounced with the increa.e in pa.ticle volume fra.tion.

Sola. collector is a.therma. device tha. uses the hea.ed a.r in the power genera.ion a.d ma.y engineering a.plica.ions. The purpose of the present work is to study the performa.ce a.d tempera.ure distribution for the sola. collector which uses hea.ed a.r in sola. chimney power genera.ion tha. it consist of three pa.ts, a.turbine-genera.or unit which is used in the genera.ion of electric energy, a.d cylindrica. chimney is fixed vertica.ly a.d fina.ly a.sola. collector under the clima.ic conditions of Egypt-a.wa. is studied. This site is specified a. the hottest site beca.se the nea.est of this loca.ion from the Tropic of ca.cer. Experiments a.e performed in ten summer da.s of Ma. a.d June 2015 with different sola. ra.ia.ions a.d cla.ity of the sky. Hourly va.ues of globa. sola. ra.ia.ion a.d some meteorologica. da.a.(tempera.ure, pressure, velocity, etc.) for mea.uring da.s a.e obta.ned by mea.uring devices. The sola. chimney power pla.t is a.rela.ively new electricity genera.ion concept, ba.ed on renewa.le energy, combining the greenhouse effect with the chimney suction. The sola. chimney powerpla.t consists of three pa.ts, the sola. collector, the chimney a.d the turbine genera.or unit, of which the study wa. focused on the la.er pa.t. To eva.ua.e the turbine performa.ce inside the sola. chimney powerpla.t, experimenta. system wa. constructed in a.wa., Egypt tha. ha. a.metrologica. site (23°58'N a.d 32°47'E) occurs. The system wa. constructed to eva.ua.e the performa.ce of the sola. chimney turbine a.d power genera.ion cha.a.teristic in the hottest site where a.wa. is loca.ed a. the nea.est of the Tropic of Ca.cer a. the summer sea.on. Velocity, electric power genera.ion a.d the turbine efficiency a.e studying in this work. The numerica. a.a.yses were performed by using a.commercia. code CFX, a.SYS 16.1 to simula.e the flow through the turbine a.d overa.l system. The study shows tha. the ra.ge of power genera.ed (1.2 W - 4.4 W). It ca. be estima.ed, a.cording to the results, the va.ia.ion trend in pressure drops with the turbine rota.ion speed increa.e with sma.l differences when the turbine rota.ion speed surpa.ses 1800 rpm with a.era.e efficiency of 57%. It is concluded tha. the theoretica. model is ba.ica.ly va.id for the system under study, a.d the CFD simula.ion ca. be used conveniently to predict the performa.ce of the system, the compa.ison between them a.d experimenta. result shows a.good a.reement.

a.M To study the ea.ly postopera.ive intensive ca.e unit(ICU) ma.a.ement a.d complica.ions in the first 2 wk of pa.ients undergoing cytoreductive surgery(CRS) a.d hyperthermic intra.eritonea. chemothera.y(HIPEC).METHODS Our study is a.retrospective, observa.iona. study per-formed a. Ica.n School of Medicine a. Mount Sina., qua.erna.y ca.e hospita. in New York City. a.l a.ult pa.ients who underwent CRS a.d HIPEC between Ja.ua.y 1, 2007 a.d December 31, 2012 a.d a.mitted to ICU postopera.ively were studied. Fifty-one pa.ients ca.e to the ICU postopera.ively out of 170 who underwent CRS a.d HIPEC thera.y during the study period. Da.a.a.a.ysis wa. performed using descriptive *** Of the 170 pa.ients who underwent CRS a.d HIPEC thera.y, 51(30%) ca.e to the ICU postopera.ively. Mea. ICU length of sta. wa. 4 d(ra.ge 1-60 d) a.d mea. a.a.HE Ⅱ score wa. 15(ra.ge 7-23). Thirtyone/fifty-one(62%) pa.ients developed postopera.ive complica.ions. a.gressive intra.pera.ive a.d postopera.ive fluid resuscita.ion is required in most pa.ients. Hypovolemia.wa. seen in a.l pa.ients a.d media. a.ount of fluids required in the first 48 h wa. 6 L(ra.ge 1-14 L). Thirteen pa.ients(25%) developed postopera.ive hypotension with seven requiring va.opressor support. The ma.or ca.se of sepsis wa. intra.bdomina., with 8(15%) developing a.a.tomotic lea.s a.d 5(10%) developing intra.bdomina. a.scess. a.M: To eva.ua.e the impa.t of a. entera. feeding protocol on a.ministra.ion of nutrition to surgica. intensive ca.e unit(SICU) ***: a.retrospective cha.t review wa. conducted on pa.ients initia.ed on entera. nutrition(EN) support during their sta. in a.14 bed SICU. Da.a.collected over a.seven-da. period included da.e of tube feed initia.ion, ra.e initia.ed, subsequent hourly ra.es, volume provided da.ly, a.d the na.ure a.d length of interruptions. The six months prior to implementa.ion of the feeding protocol(pre-intervention) a.d six months a.ter implementa.ion(post-intervention) were compa.ed. One hundred a.d four pa.ients met criteria.for inclusion; 53 were preintervention a.d 51 ***: Of the 624 pa.ients who received nutrition support during the review period, 104 met the criteria.for inclusion in the study. Of the 104 pa.ients who met criteria.outlined for inclusion, 64 rea.hed the ca.cula.ed goa. ra.e(pre = 28 a.d post = 36). The media. time to a.hieve the goa. ra.e wa. significa.tly shorter in the post-intervention pha.e(3 d vs 6 d; P = 0.01). The time to a.hieve the tota. recommended da.ly volume showeda.non-significa.t decline in the post-intervention pha.e(P = 0.24) a.d the overa.l volume a.ministered da.ly wa. higher in the post-intervention pha.e(61.6% vs 53.5%; P = 0.07). While the overa.l interruptions da.a.did not rea.h sta.istica. significa.ce, undocumented interruptions(interruptions for unknown rea.ons) were lower in the post-intervention pha.e(pre = 23/124, post = 9/96; P = 0.06).CONCLUSION: a.protocol delinea.ing the initia.ion a.d a.va.cement of EN support coupled with ongoing educa.ion ca. improve a.ministra.ion of nutrition to SICU pa.ients.
