The early trans-Eurasian exchange and its influence on the dynamics of human-land relationships is an emerging topic involving multiple *** southwestern part of the Eastern European Plain was a key hub for early East-West *** millet,a crop domesticated in China,was introduced into the region about 3,600 years ago,significantly earlier than in other parts of *** research employs systematic archaeobotanical flotation and AMS radiocarbon dating at two sites in Romania:Baia-?n Muchie and Dobrov??.The findings demonstrate that broomcorn millet cultivation in this region has persisted for over 2,000 years,exhibiting significant diachronic *** was most intensively utilized during the Late Bronze Age to the Early Iron Age(1200–800 BC)and the Late Roman Empire(AD 250–400),periods which were characterized by rapid climatic *** may have been cultivated as a“disaster relief”crop to mitigate the challenges posed by extreme drought and *** millet grains from the study area are similar in dimensions to those reported in East Asia;however,grains from the Romanian sites are thinner and *** route traversing the Caucasus and the northern Black Sea likely served as a key passage through which millet entered Europe from West *** research provides valuable data on the chronology of millet cultivation in the SW Eastern European Plain and enhances our understanding of early East-West exchanges and their impact on human-environment interactions in critical regions.

Objective:This study aimed to investigate the effect of empowerment-based interventions on selfefficacy and self-care capacity among adults with sickle cell disease(SCD).Methods:A randomized control trial was conducted[NCT06296654].A total of 76 patients were recruited by using a cluster sampling technique in the two health centers in Bahrain from February to May 2022 and randomly allocated to the intervention group(n=38)or control group(n=38).The intervention group received the empowerment-based intervention implemented through structured small-group discussion sessions,individualized consultations(5A model:assess,advise,agree,assist,and arrange),and follow-up sessions,while the control group received routine health *** Sickle Cell Self-Efficacy Scale(SCSES)and the Appraisal of the Self-Care Agency Scale-Revised(ASA-R)were measured at baseline and one month after the intervention among two groups of ***:A total of 68 patients completed the study(36 patients in the intervention group and 32 patients in the control group).After the intervention,the score of SCSES in the intervention group was 37.0(35.0,39.8)higher than the control group 28.0(25.2,32.0)(U=-6.121,P<0.001);the score of ASA-R in the intervention group was 61.0(58.3,65.0)higher than the control group 49.0(43.3,53.0)(U=-0.653,P<0.001).Conclusion:Adopting the empowerment-based intervention using the 5As model effectively improves self-efficacy and self-care capacity among patients with SCD.

欧亚大陆早期东西交流及其对人地关系演变的影响是多学科关注的前沿科学问题.东欧平原西南部是早期东西交流的关键枢纽,驯化于中国的作物黍约3600年前传入该地区,显著早于欧洲其他地区.受限于系统植物考古研究的不足,该地区黍作物利用的演替过程及其影响因素尚不清楚.文章选取罗马尼亚雅西(Iasi)巴亚-因穆基(Baia-In Muchie)遗址和多布若瓦茨(Dobrovaț)开展系统植物浮选与年代测定工作.结果显示,研究区所出土的200余粒黍遗存与东亚地区已发表数据在尺寸上未见显著差异,但粒型更为瘦长;东欧平原西南部黍遗存出现年代相较欧洲其他地区明显偏早,跨高加索的黑海北部路线可能是黍经西亚进入欧洲的重要通道;自青铜时代晚期以来,该地区黍作物的利用延续了两千余年乃至更久,且存在明显的历时性波动,相对集中于青铜时代末至铁器时代初(1200~800BC)和罗马帝国晚期(AD250~400);气候变化是背后重要驱动因素之一,黍有可能是作为应对干冷气候的优势作物而被种植利用.本研究为探究黍传入东欧平原西南部的年代以及在该地区的利用变化提供了重要的基础数据,有助于全面认识早期东西交流及其对关键节点地区人地关系演变的影响.

Kinetics of the reaction of 2-chloro-3,5-dinitrobenzotriflouride with aniline were studied in toluene, metha- nol-toluene binary solvents, benzene and chloroform. The reaction in toluene exhibits third-order kinetics consistent with aggregates of aniline. Thermodynamic parameters AH#, AS# and AG# are calculated and discussed for the reaction of 2-chloro-3,5-dinitrobenzotriflouride with aniline in methanol-toluene. Molecular complexes between aniline and the substrate are rejected spectrophotometricaly. The mechanism is studied and compared with the reac- tion in presence of pyridine. It shows an amine dependence and formation of homo and/or hetero mixed aggregates between aniline and pyridine i.e. dimer mechanism.

In order to preserve privacy in a blockchain ecosystem,the main objective is to keep a transaction's data private,such as the sender,the receiver,and the amount *** current work studies the cryptographic tools commonly used to achieve this type of privacy,primarily focusing on the Ethereum *** tools usually require many computational and storage resources,leading to additional *** anonymous auction protocol was developed as a case study to explore these costs,where hiding the identity and the amount of the bids utilizes a variety of cryptographic *** proposed implementation was compared against three sealed-bid auction protocols,which utilize similar cryptographic tools for preserving privacy throughout the auction *** results show that providing an additional level of anonymity,such as hiding someone's identity,can increase the gas cost significantly,up to 2.5 times,depending on the choice of the cryptographic tools,which determine the usage of the blockchain's storage and computational *** adjusting the level of decentralization on the application level by moving some operations off-chain and maintaining the role of the auctioneer,we show that we can maintain anonymity while reducing the gas cost by 40%.

The Eu(Ⅲ)nitrate complex of the meso-N,N’-bis(2-pyridylmethylene)-1,2-(R,S)-cyclohexanediamine ligand was synthesized and characterized by single crystal and powder X-ray *** crystal lattice of the complex is capable of absorbing and desorbing selectively acetonitrile molecules,at 293 K upon an acetonitrile vapor pressure of^0.1×10^5 *** process,which is partially reversible,can be easily followed by both powder X-ray diffraction(P-XRD)and Eu(III)luminescence *** acetonitrile molecule,located in the outer coordination sphere of the metal ion,does not affect the radiative transition probability of 5 D0 level of Eu(Ⅲ)and also it does not activate further non-radiative channels from this *** the other hand,this molecule is capable of affecting the energy position and intensities of the crystal field components of the 5 D0→7 F2 *** complex in solid form can be considered a promising material for the optical sensing of acetonitrile vapors.

Growth and biochemical responses of the coenobial green alga Scenedesmus obliquus to salinity stress were monitored across different phases of *** alga was cultured on BG11 growth medium and subjected to 0,30,100,and 200 mmol/L NaCl for a period of 20 d,during which algal cultures were harvested at 4-d *** salinity-induced inhibition of algal growth was accompanied with prolongation of timing of the different growth *** sharp and progressive salinity-induced inhibition of algal growth rate during the early phase of growth points to salt shock but moderation of inhibition at the subsequent stages of growth means algal acclimation to *** concentrations of chlorophylls a and b,soluble sugars,proteins as well as those of K+and Na+in the alga exhibited peaks at the initiation of the exponential phase of growth,with increasing magnitude in proportion to the increase in the level of ***,whereas soluble sugars of the alga peaked at initiation of the exponential phase,starch concentration progressively increased with culture age,reaching saturation towards the stationary *** the salinity-induced increase in soluble sugars was most evident at the early stages of growth the reverse was true for *** present results point to fast acclimation of *** to salt stress post a brief salt shock,utilizing soluble sugars,K+and Na+for osmotic *** salinity from 0 to 200 mmol/L NaCl led to progressive increase in soluble sugars,proteins,K+and Na+concentrations of the algal cells,particularly at the early stages of ***,the salinity-induced increase in chlorophyll concentration approached a limit at 100 mmol/L NaCl whereas that in starch concentration was more evident at the later stages of growth.
