This paper reports the effect of friction stir welding （FSW） process parameters on tensile strength of cast LM6 aluminium alloy. Joints were made by using different combinations of tool rotation speed, welding speed and axial force each at four levels. The quality of weld zone was investigated using macrostructure and microstructure analysis. Tensile strength of the joints were evaluated and correlated with the weld zone hardness and microstructure. The joint fabricated using a rotational speed of 900 r/min, a welding speed of 75 mm/min and an axial force of 3 kN showed superior tensile strength compared with other joints. The tensile strength and microhardness of the welded joints for the optimum conditions were 166 MPa and 64.8 Hv respectively.

raman spectra of a complex perovskite system(Pb_(1-x)Ba_(x))(Yb_(0.5)Ta_(0.5))O_(3),x=0.0;0.1 and 0.2 have been studied at low temperature in the range of 10–250 *** fascination of the system is that it undergoes a crossover from a highly ordered antiferroelectric(x=0.0)to ferroelectric(x=0.1)to disordered relaxor ferroelectric(x=0.2).The nature of splitting that prevails in F_(2g)(≈60 cm^(-1)),F_(1g)(≈538 cm^(-1))modes and their gradual merging and disappearance with x indicates an orthorhombic symmetry for x=0.0 and a pseudo-cubic structure for x=*** mode at 420 cm^(-1) suggests the existence of rhombohedral distortion in all the *** soft mode behavior of the F2g modes has been analyzed by fitting the data with the power law ω_(s)=A(T_(C)-T)^(β).

Statistical analysis of product yield for biodiesel preparation by transesterification process was performed using the Minitab software. A standard rSM Design tool known as CCD was applied to study the transesterification reaction variables. The obtained parameters were verified experimentally for the transesterification reaction of rubber seed oil using solid metal oxide catalyst. The factors affecting the methyl ester yield during transesterification reaction were identified as the catalyst content, molar ratio of oil to alcohol and reaction time. High methyl ester yield and fast reaction rate could be obtained even if reaction temperature was relatively low, which is quite favorable to the industrial production of biodiesel from the rubber seed oil. 98.54% of methyl ester was formed from the transesterification of rSO with methanol. r-squared is a statistical measure of how close the data are to the fitted regression line. It is also known as the coefficient of determination, or the coefficient of multiple determination for multiple regression. In this study, an r2 value of 0.98 is obtained.

An analysis of land use development city using imagery pattern in the industrial high resolution satellite

The spatial differentiation of land use changes of Tuticorin is studied using high resolution LISS III satellite imagery and Maximum Likelihood algorithms. The classification accuracy of 95.2% was obtained. In this study,the land use of Tuticorin is classified as settlement,salt pan,agricultural land,wasteland,water bodies and shrubs. The settlement area is increased to 4.6 km2 during the year 2001 and 2006. The settlement area change is mainly driven by growth of industries and migration of people from peripheral villages. Shrub is increased to 3.63 km2 in the six year period. Water logging due to growth of shrubs in Tuticorin leads to several environmental and health hazard. This study warrants proper urban planning for Tuticorin for sustainable use of resource and environment.

This paper reviews the recent progress in the understanding of the dynamics of Pb(B_(1/2)B0_(1/2))O_(3)-type relaxor ferroelectrics using of broadband micro-Brillouin scattering spectroscopy,which covers a large frequency range from 1 to 1000 GHz by a tandem multi-pass FabryPerot inter*** contrast to Pb(B_(1/3)B0_(2/3))O_(3)-type relaxors,there is no frustration on the B-site of perovskite structure and the degree of order of B-site cations depends on heat *** softening of sound velocity and an intense central peak are observed above the Curie temperature TC owing to the polarization°uctuations in polar nanoregions(PNrs).Unlike the Pb(B_(1/3)B0_(2/3))O_(3)relaxors,Pb(B_(1/2)B'_(1/2))O_(3)does not undergoes a typical diffuse phase transition without lead vacancies on A-site which enhances *** the(1-x)Pb(B_(1/2)B'_(1/2))O_(3-x)PbTiO_(3)solid solutions,the long range polar order increases as the PbTiO_(3)content ***,a central peak owing to dynamic PNrs still remains even for the composition near the MPB,and a critical slowing down is clearly observed in the vicinity of TC.
