Mechanism of interfacial effects in sodium-ion storage devices

Rechargeable sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)are considered as the next-generation secondary *** performance of SIB is determined by the behavior of its electrode surface and the electrode–electrolyte interface during charging and ***,the characteristics of these surfaces and interfaces should be analyzed to realize large-scale energy storage systems with high energy density and long-cycle *** various studies have investigated the properties of electrode materials,few studies have focused on the construction of stable and efficient SIB interfaces,and even fewer have explored the mechanisms of interfacial effects;however,the strategies of regulating interfacial effects are yet to be completely ***,the results obtained thus far are insufficient to draw systematic *** present study reviews the literature on the mechanism of interfacial effects in Na+storage *** interfaces in a sodium-ion storage device include a heterogeneous interface between electrode materials,a solid electrolyte interphase,and a cathode electrolyte *** interfacial effects during the intercalation,transformation,and alloy reactions and the resulting overall battery performance were theoretically *** this review,we aim to provide a theoretical basis for optimizing the structures of electrode surface and electrode–electrolyte interface to optimize the performance of *** addition,the challenges of investigating interfacial effects and several possible helpful methods and opportunities for studying the mechanisms of interfacial effects in SIBs will be presented.

Neiguan(PC6) acupoint stimulation for preventing chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting: a cost-effective supplement in guideline-inconsistent chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting prophylaxis subgroup

OBJECTIVE: To assess the efficacy and safety of Neiguan(PC6) acupoint acustimulation in preventing chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting(CINV),especially for patients with guideline-inconsistent CINV prophylaxis(GICP) due to personal reasons METHODS: From January 2021 to December 2021, 373 patients suffered from solid malignancy were recruited according to the inclusion criteria. Complete response(no emesis and no rescue medication use) rate during the overall phase(0-120 h of each chemo-cycle) was the primary assessment of CINV control. The Functional Living Index-Emesis(FLIE) questionnaire was investigated among these patients as a secondary 'quality of life' objective to assess the impact of CINV on patients' daily life by recording score of nausea and vomiting. RESULTS: With acustimulation of Neiguan(PC6) acupuncture point through a portable, noninvasive and user-friendly device, in terms of complete response rate and scores in nausea/vomiting by FLIE questionnaire, patients achieve a better outcome in highly emetogenic chemotherapy(HEC) induced CINV, especially GICP subgroup. Meanwhile, analysis also demonstrated this tendency existed in other patients with HEC/GCCP(guideline consistent CINV prophylaxis) and moderate emetogenic chemotherapy, although the difference was not significant. CONCLUSION: Considering advantages of Neiguan(PC6) acustimulation such as noninvasive, covered by medical insurance and few side effects, we believe it would be an ideal auxiliary tool in CINV control, especially in patients who receive highly emetogenic chemoprotocol and are reluctant to GCCP for economic reasons.

Drought is a major threat to alfalfa(Medicago sativa L.)*** discovery of important alfalfa genes regulating drought response will facilitate breeding for drought-resistant alfalfa ***,we report a genome-wide association study of drought resistance in *** identified and functionally characterized an MYB-like transcription factor gene(MsMYBH),which increases the drought resistance in *** with the wild-types,the biomass and forage quality were enhanced in MsMYBH overexpressed *** RNA-seq,proteomics and chromatin immunoprecipitation analysis showed that MsMYBH can directly bind to the promoters of MsMCP1,MsMCP2,MsPRX1A and MsCARCAB to improve their *** outcomes of such interactions include better water balance,high photosynthetic efficiency and scavenge excess H_(2)O_(2)in response to ***,an E3 ubiquitin ligase(MsWAV3)was found to induce MsMYBH degradation under long-term drought,via the 26S proteasome ***,variable-number tandem repeats in MsMYBH promoter were characterized among a collection of germplasms,and the variation is associated with promoter ***,our findings shed light on the functions of MsMYBH and provide a pivotal gene that could be leveraged for breeding drought-resistant *** discovery also offers new insights into the mechanisms of drought resistance in alfalfa.

Investigating the Impact of Ocean Acidification on Anti-Stress Mechanisms in Sepia esculenta Larvae Based on Transcriptome Profiling

With the rapid development of oil,energy,power and other industries,CO_(2) emissions rise sharply,which will cause a large amount of CO_(2) in the air be absorbed by the ocean and lead to ocean *** growth and development of organisms can be seriously affected by acidified *** esculenta is a mollusk with high nutritional and economic value and is widely cultured in offshore waters of *** are the early life forms of the organism and are more vulnerable to changes in the external *** low pH will lead to some adverse reactions in larvae,which will affect metabolism,immune response and other life *** this study,we sequenced the transcriptome of *** subjected to acidified seawater stress and identified 1072differentially expressed genes(DEGs).The detected atypical expression of DEGs substantiates cellular malformation and translocation in *** under low pH ***,this also substantiates the notable impact of ocean acidification on *** DEGs were used for functional enrichment analysis of GO and KEGG,and the top twenty items of the biological process classification in GO terms and 11 KEGG signaling pathways were significantly ***,the constructed proteinprotein interaction network(PPI)was used to analyze protein-protein interactions,and 12 key DEGs and 3 hub genes were *** reliability of 12 genes was verified by quantitative RT-PCR.A comprehensive analysis of the KEGG signaling pathway and PPI revealed that ocean acidification leads to abnormalities in lipid metabolism in *** larvae,which can lead to cancer development and metastasis,accompanied by some degree of *** results of the study will help to further investigate the physiological processes of *** when stimulated by ocean acidification,and provide a reference to cope with the captive breeding of *** affected by acidification.

A scientometric review of research on built environment influence on public transportation demand

There is a rich amount of reviews offer valuable references on the topic of exploring relationship between built environment and public transportation demand， but they often focus on certain perspectives and none of them provide a comprehensive and quantitative overview on available publications. To fill this gap， this study employed bibliometric analysis to develop a comprehensive review of relevant literature retrieved from the WOS core collection database from 2001 to 2022， aiming to identify the evolutionary trends and hot topics at global level， including historical and geographical trends， leading journals and institutions， keyword characteristics， citation network analysis and content analysis. The output results show that there is an increasing geographic spread along with the growth spurt of research publications on the topic of built environment influence on public transportation demand. According to results output from the keywords’ distribution and citation network analysis， hot topics of available studies as well as future research directions were identified based on their research objects， built environment measurement， and applied models. It is hoped that the output results will help researchers gain a deeper understanding of the development of research in this area， and help urban planning decision makers determine the most effective decisions and the most appropriate practices.

The effectiveness of physical activity interventions on blood pressure in children and adolescents:A systematic review and network meta-analysis

Background:High blood pressure(BP)is a major contributor to mortality and cardiovascular *** the known benefits of exercise for reducing BP,it is crucial to identify the most effective physical activity(PA)*** systematic review and network meta-analysis(Nma)aimed to evaluate the available evidence on the effectiveness of various PA interventions for reducing BP and to determine their hierarchy based on their impact on ***:A search of PubMed,SPORTDiscus,PsycINFO,Web of Science,CINAHL,Cochrane,and Eric databases was conducted up to December 2022 for this systematic review and *** controlled trials and quasi-experimental studies targeting healthy children and adolescents aged 6-12 years old were included in this *** studies that compared controlled and intervention groups using PA or exercise as the major influence were *** followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses(PRISma)*** independent investigators performed the literature screening,data extraction,and risk of bias *** used Bayesian arm-based Nma to synthesize the *** primary outcomes were systolic BP and diastolic *** calculated the mean differences(MDs)in systolic BP and diastolic BP before and after *** treatment differences were estimated using Nma and random-effect ***:We synthesized 27 studies involving 15,220 children and *** combined with nutrition and behavior change was the most effective intervention for reducing both systolic BP and diastolic BP(MD=-8.64,95%credible interval(95%CI):-11.44 to-5.84;MD=-6.75,95%CI:-10.44 to-3.11),followed by interventions with multiple components(MD=-1.39,95%CI:-1.94 to-0.84;MD=-2.54,95%CI:-4.89 to-0.29).Conclusion:Our findings suggest that PA interventions incorporating nutrition and behavior change,followed by interventions with multiple components,are most effective for reducing both systolic BP and diastolic BP

In the quest to enhance the efficiency of sodium-ion batteries,the dynamics of solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)formation are of paramount *** SEI layer’s integrity is integral to the charge–discharge efficiency and the overall longevity of the ***,a novel two-dimensional Ti_(3)C_(2) fragments enmeshed on iron-nitrogen-carbon(Fe-N-C)nanosheets(Ti_(3)C_(2)/Fe-NC)has been *** electrode features a matrix which has been shown to expedite SEI layer formation through the facilitation of selective anion adsorption,thus augmenting battery *** functional theory calculation reveals that the SEI evolution energy of NaPF6 at the Ti_(3)C_(2)/Fe-N-C interface is 0.81 eV,significantly lower than the Ti_(3)C_(2)(1.23 eV).This process is driven by the electron transportation from Ti_(3)C_(2) to Fe-N-C substrate,facilitated by their work-function difference,leading to the formation of ferromagnetic Fe species,which possesses Fe 3d d_(xz)d_(z)2 orbitals and undergoes hybridization with theπandσorbitals of NaF,creating a key intermediate during *** process diminishes the antibonding energy and attenuates the orbital interaction with NaF,thus reducing the activation energy and improving the SEI formation reaction ***,it leads to the creation of multi-interface SEI characterized by high-throughput ion transport and an efficient reaction network.

Triple-path feature transform network for ring-array photoacoustic tomography image reconstruction

Photoacoustic imaging(PAI)is a noninvasive emerging imaging method based on the photoacoustic effect,which provides necessary assistance for medical *** has the characteristics of large imaging depth and high ***,limited by the equipment cost and reconstruction time requirements,the existing PAI systems distributed with annular array transducers are difficult to take into account both the image quality and the imaging *** this paper,a triple-path feature transform network(TFT-Net)for ring-array photoacoustic tomography is proposed to enhance the imaging quality from limited-view and sparse measurement ***,the network combines the raw photoacoustic pressure signals and conventional linear reconstruction images as input data,and takes the photoacoustic physical model as a prior information to guide the reconstruction *** addition,to enhance the ability of extracting signal features,the residual block and squeeze and excitation block are introduced into the *** further efficient reconstruction,the final output of photoacoustic signals uses‘filter-then-upsample’operation with a pixel-shuffle multiplexer and a max out *** results on simulated and in-vivo data demonstrate that the constructed TFT-Net can restore the target boundary clearly,reduce background noise,and realize fast and high-quality photoacoustic image reconstruction of limited view with sparse sampling.
