In recent years,the Internet of Things(IoT)has gradually developed applications such as collecting sensory data and building intelligent services,which has led to an explosion in mobile data ***,with the rapid development of artificial intelligence,semantic communication has attracted great attention as a new communication ***,for IoT devices,however,processing image information efficiently in real time is an essential task for the rapid transmission of semantic *** the increase of model parameters in deep learning methods,the model inference time in sensor devices continues to *** contrast,the Pulse coupled Neural Network(PcNN)has fewer parameters,making it more suitable for processing real-time scene tasks such as ima.e.segmentation,which lays the foundation for real-time,effective,and accurate image ***,the parameters of PcNN are determined by trial and error,which limits its *** overcome this limitation,an Improved Pulse coupled Neural Networks(IPcNN)model is proposed in this *** IPcNN constructs the connection between the static properties of the input image and the dynamic properties of the neurons,and all its parameters are set adaptively,which avoids the inconvenience of manual setting in traditional methods and improves the adaptability of parameters to different types of *** segmentation results demonstrate the validity and efficiency of the proposed self-adaptive parameter setting method of IPcNN on the gray images and natural images from the matlab and Berkeley segmentation *** IPcNN method achieves a better segmentation result without training,providing a new solution for the real-time transmission of ima.e.semantic information.

control of dust in underground coal mines is critical for mitigating both safety and health *** decades,the National Institute of Occupational safety and Health(NIOsH)has led research to evaluate the effectiveness of various dust control technologies in coal *** studies have included the evaluation of auxiliary scrubbers to reduce respirable dust downstream of active mining and the use of canopy a.r.c.rtains(cAcs)to reduce respirable dust in key operator *** detailed dust characterization was not a focus of such studies,this is a growing area of *** preserved filter samples from three previous NIOsH studies,the current work aims to explore the effect of two different scrubbers(one wet and one dry)and a roof bolter cAc on respirable dust composition and particle size *** this,the preserved filter samples were analyzed by thermogravimetric analysis and/or scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive *** indicate that dust composition was not appreciably affected by either scrubber or the ***,the wet scrubber and cAc appeared to decrease the overall particle size *** an effect of the dry scrubber was not consistently observed,but this is probably related to the particular sampling location downstream of the scrubber which allowed for significant mixing of the scrubber exhaust and other return *** from the insights gained with respect to the three specific dust control case studies revisited here,this work demonstrates the value of preserved dust samples for follow-up investigation more broadly.

We investigated ^(50,52-54)cr-induced fusion reactions for the synthesis of the superheavy element in the 104≤Z≤122 *** cross sections produced in this investigation using ^(54)cr projectiles were compared with those obtained in prior *** estimated cross sections from this analysis are consistent with the findings of prior *** the current study,the predicted cross section was found to be 42fb at 236 MeV for ^(53)cr+^(243)Am,23.2 fb at 236 MeV for ^(54)cr+^(247)cm,95.6 fb at 240 MeV for ^(53)cr+248Bk,and 1.33 fb at 242 MeV for ^(53)cr+***,these projected cross sections with excitation energy and beam energy will be useful in future cr-induced fusion reaction investigations.

since the cOVID-19 pandemic was first reported in 2019,it has rapidly spread around the *** countries implemented several measures to try to control the virus *** healthcare system and consequently the general quality of life population in the cities have all been significantly impacted by the coronavirus *** different waves of contagious were responsible for the increase in the number of cases that,unfortunately,many times lead to *** this paper,we aim to characterize the dynamics of the six waves of cases and deaths caused by cOVID-19 in rio de Janeiro city using techniques such as the Poincaréplot,approximate entropy,second-order difference plot,and central tendency *** results reveal that by examining the structure and patterns of the time series,using a set of non-linear techniques we can gain a better understanding of the role of multiple waves of cOVID-19,also,we can identify underlying dynamics of disease spreading and extract meaningful information about the dynamical behavior of epidemiological time *** findings can help to closely approximate the dynamics of virus spread and obtain a correlation between the different stages of the disease,allowing us to identify and categorize the stages due to different virus variants that are reflected in the time series.

coral sandy soils widely exist in coral island reefs and seashores in tropical and subtropical *** to the unique marine depositional environment of coral sandy soils,the engineering characteristics and responses of these soils subjected to monotonic and cyclic loadings have been a subject of intense interest among the geotechnical and earthquake engineering *** paper critically reviews the progress of experimental investigations on the undrained behavior of coral sandy soils under monotonic and cyclic loadings over the last three *** focus of coverage includes the contractive-dilative behavior,the pattern of excess pore-water pressure(ePWP)generation and the liquefaction mechanism and liquefaction resistance,the small-strain shear modulus and strain-dependent shear modulus and damping,the cyclic softening feature,and the anisotropic characteristics of undrained responses of saturated coral sandy *** particular,the advances made in the past decades are reviewed from the following aspects:(1)the characterization of factors that impact the mechanism and patterns of ePWP build-up;(2)the identification of liquefaction triggering in terms of the apparent viscosity and the average flow coefficient;(3)the establishment of the invariable form of strain-based,stress-based,or energy-based ePWP ratio formulas and the unique relationship between the new proxy of liquefaction resistance and the number of cycles required to reach liquefaction;(4)the establishment of the invariable form of the predictive formulas of small strain modulus and strain-dependent shear modulus;and(5)the investigation on the effects of stress-induced anisotropy on liquefaction susceptibility and dynamic deformation *** gained through the critical review of these advances in the past decades offer a perspective for future research to further resolve the fundamental issues concerning the liquefaction mechanism and responses of coral sandy sites subjecte

The reduction of phosphogypsum(PG)to lime slag and sO_(2)using coke can effectively alleviate the environmental problems caused by ***,the PG decomposition temperature remains high and the product yield remains *** adding additives,the decomposition temperature can be further reduced and PG decomposition rate and product yield can be ***,the use of current additives such as Fe_(2)O_(3)and siO_(2)brings the problem of increasing economic ***,it is proposed to use solid waste copper slag(cs)as a new additive to reduce PG to prepare sO2,which can reduce the cost and meet the environmental benefits at the same *** effects of proportion,temperature and thermostatic time on PG decomposition are investigated by experimental and kinetic analysis combined with Factsage thermodynamic calculations to optimize the roasting ***,the reaction mechanism is *** is found that adding cs to the coke and PG system can increase the rate of PG decomposition and sO_(2)yield while lowering the PG decomposition *** example,when the cs/PG mass ratio increases from 0 to 1,PG decomposition rate increases from 83.38%to 99.35%,sO_(2)yield increases from 78.62%to 96.81%,and PG decomposition temperature decreases from 992.4℃to 949.6℃.The optimal reaction parameters are cs/PG mass ratio of 1,coke/PG mass ratio of 0.06 at 1100℃for 20 min with 99.35%PG decomposition rate and 96.81%sO_(2) *** process proceeds according to the following reactions:2casO_(4)+ 0.7c + 0.8Fe_(2)siO_(4)→0.8ca_(2)siO_(4)+ 0.2ca_(2)Fe_(2)O_(5)+ 0.4Fe_(3)O_(4)+2sO_(2)+ 0.7cO_(2)Finally,a process for decomposing PG with coke and cs is proposed.

This paper deals with the problem of the prediction and control of cholera outbreak using real data of *** first develop and analyze a deterministic model with seasonality for the cholera,the novelty of which lies in the incorporation of undetected *** present the basic properties of the model and compute two explicit threshold parametersr_(0)and r_(0).that bound the effective reproduction number,from below and above,that is r_(0)≤r_(0)≤r_(0).We prove that cholera tends to disappear whenr_(0)≤1,while when r_(0)>1,cholera persists uniformly within the ***,assuming that the cholera transmission rates and the proportions of newly symptomatic are unknown,we develop the enKf approach to estimate unmeasurable state variables and these unknown parameters using real data of cholera from 2014 to 2022 in *** use this result to estimate the upper and lower bound of the effective reproduction number and reconstructed active asymptomatic and symptomatic cholera cases in cameroon,and give a short-term forecasts of cholera in cameroon until *** simulations show that(i)the transmission rate from free Vibrio cholerae in the environment is more important than the human transmission and begin to be high few week after may and in October,(ii)90%of newly cholera infected cases that present the symptoms of cholera are not diagnosed and(iii)60.36%of asymptomatic are detected at 14%and 86%of them recover *** future trends reveals that an outbreak appeared from July to November 2023 with the number of cases reported monthly peaked in October *** impulsive control strategy is incorporated in the model with the aim to avoid or prevent the cholera *** the first year of monitoring,we observed a reduction of more than 75%of incidences and the disappearance of the peaks when no control are available in cameroon.A second monitoring of control led to a further reduction of around 60%of incidences the following year,showing how
