Stimuli-evoked NOergic molecules and neuropeptides at acupuncture points and the gracile nucleus contribute to signal transduction of propagated sensation along the meridian through the dorsal medulla-thalamic pathways

Numerous studies from different international groups have demonstrated that sensations can be propagated along acupuncture channel pathways. The propagated sensation along the channel pathway(PSCP)can be elicited by electroacupuncture(EA), transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation(TENS), manual acupuncture(ma), and heat applied to distal acupuncture points(acupoints). Nitric oxide(NO) levels were reported to be elevated in the gracile nucleus and skin regions near to the EA sites, with higher levels at acupoints associated with an enhanced expression of NO synthase and transient receptor potential vanilloid type 1. The stimuli, EA, ma, TENS, and heat, have been used to elicit axonal reflexes, which increase local release of NO and neuropeptides such as calcitonin gene related peptide. Furthermore, the sensation of PSCP along the body surface occurs only ipsilaterally to the stimulated acupoints in various human studies, which does not support the involvement of the spinal-thalamic pathway, which would involve cross over transmission of the signals. The gracile nucleus receives ascending input from the sciatic nerve and responds to somatosensory stimulation mainly on the ipsilateral side via the dorsal column pathway. EA at Zusanli(ST36) increases NO release and expression of NO synthase mainly in the ipsilateral side of the gracile nucleus, while the cardiovascular effects and analgesic responses to EA at ST36 are changed by influences of L-arginine-derived NO synthesis in the ipsilateral gracile nucleus in rats. The stimuli-induced release of NOergic molecules and neuropeptides exist high levels in the acupoints, which contain rich neuronal components and blood vessels. Enhanced NOergic molecules at acupoints cause axon reflexes during the stimuli, which elevate cutaneous blood flow. Elevated NOergic molecules and local blood flow may spread over acupoints one after another along the meridian lines differing from nerve pathways following the stimuli to induce PSC

Unveiling the role of weak non-covalent forces in chiral self-assembly is pivotal in the design and fabrication of functional chiroptical *** nature of arene-perfluoroarene(AP)force is the electrostatic attraction betweenπ-hole andπplanes of perfluoroarenes and polyaromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs),which is emerging in constructing supramolecular motifs and coassembled optical *** this work,we reveal the potential of AP forces in building diversified levels of chiral coassemblies adaptive to the geometries of *** naphthalene-F8was covalently conjugated with a chiral amine,which folded into a semi-rectangular geometry via two intramolecular F···H *** of naphthalene,anthracene,pyrene,carbazole,perylene and benzoperylene were introduced to afford coassemblies in the crystalline state.X-ray structures suggest the formation of supramolecular boxes that encapsulate the PAHs with a 2:1 stoichiometric ratio,as well as the formation of consecutive layered ladders with a 1:1 stoichiometric *** preference is adaptive to the geometries of PAHs,and experimental and computational results evidenced the ladder structures possess strong binding *** this top,the selective chiral recognition in the mixtures of PAHs was realized,which shows promising applications in the separation of PAHs and rational design of crystalline chiroptical materials.

MCR-YOLO model for underwater target detection based on multi-color spatial features

Within the fields of underwater robotics and ocean information processing, computer vision-based underwater target detection is an important area of research. Underwater target detection is made more difficult by a number of problems with underwater imagery, such as low contrast, color distortion, fuzzy texture features, and noise interference, which are caused by the limitations of the unique underwater imaging environment. In order to solve the above challenges, this paper proposes a multi-color space residual you only look once(MCR-YOLO) model for underwater target detection. First, the RGB image is converted into YCb Cr space, and the brightness channel Y is used to extract the non-color features of color-biased images based on improved Res Net50. Then, the output features of three scales are combined between adjacent scales to exchange information. At the same time, the image features integrated with low-frequency information are obtained via the low-frequency feature extraction branch and the three-channel RGB image, and the features from the three scales of the two branches are fused at the corresponding scales. Finally, multi-scale fusion and target detection are accomplished utilizing the path aggregation network(PANet) framework. Experiments on relevant datasets demonstrate that the method can improve feature extraction of critical targets in underwater environments and achieve good detection accuracy.

Tuning mechanical and electrical performances of B_(4)C-TiB_(2)ceramics in a two-step spark plasma sintering process

B_(4)C–TiB_(2)is an advanced electrically conductive ceramic with excellent mechanical and electrical discharge machinable *** is challenging and rewarding to achieve highly conductive and hard B_(4)C–TiB_(2)composites at a minimum content of conductive TiB2 that has inferior hardness but double specific gravity of the B_(4)C matrix.A novel strategy was used to construct conductive networks in B_(4)C‒15 vol%TiB2 composite ceramics with B_(4)C,TiC,and amorphous B as raw materials by a two-step spark plasma sintering *** influences of particle size matching between B_(4)C and TiC on the conducting of the strategy and the microstructure were discussed based on the selective matrix grain growth *** mechanical and electrical properties were also systematically *** B_(4)C–15 vol%TiB2 composite ceramic prepared from 10.29µm B_(4)C and 0.05µm TiC powders exhibited a perfect three-dimensional interconnected conductive network with a maximum electrical conductivity of 4.25×10^(4)S/m,together with excellent mechanical properties including flexural strength,Vickers hardness,and fracture toughness of 691±58 MPa,30.30±0.61 GPa,and 5.75±0.32 MPa·m^(1/2),respectively,while the composite obtained from 3.12µm B_(4)C and 0.8µm TiC powders had the best mechanical properties including flexural strength,Vickers hardness,and fracture toughness of 827±35 MPa,32.01±0.51 GPa,and 6.45±0.22 MPa·m^(1/2),together with a decent electrical conductivity of 0.65×10^(4)S/m.

A Detailed Thermal Resistance Network Analysis of FCBGA Package

Using thermal models to describe the heat dissipation process of FCBGA is a significant topic in the field of ***,the thermal resistance model considering the structure of each part of the chip is still ambiguous and rare,but it is quite desirable in *** this work,we propose a detailed thermal resistance network model,and describe it by using thermal conduction resistance and thermal spreading *** a striking FCBGA case,we calculated the thermal resistance of each part of the structure according to the temperature field simulated by *** thermal resistance network can be used to predict the temperatures in the chip under different *** example,when the power changes by 40%,the relative error of junction temperature prediction is only 0.24%.The function of the detailed thermal resistance network in evaluating the optimization space and determining the optimization direction is *** work illustrates a potential thermal resistance analysis method for electronic devices such as FCBGA.

Analytical solution for the effective elastic properties of rocks with the tilted penny-shaped cracks in the transversely isotropic background

Seismic prediction of cracks is of great significance in many disciplines,for which the rock physics model is ***,up to now,multitudinous analytical models focus primarily on the cracked rock with the isotropic background,while the explicit model for the cracked rock with the anisotropic background is rarely investigated in spite of such case being often encountered in the ***,we first studied dependences of the crack opening displacement tensors on the crack dip angle in the coordinate systems formed by symmetry planes of the crack and the background anisotropy,respectively,by forty groups of numerical *** on the conclusion from the experiments,the analytical solution was derived for the effective elastic properties of the rock with the inclined penny-shaped cracks in the transversely isotropic ***,we comprehensively analyzed,according to the developed model,effects of the crack dip angle,background anisotropy,filling fluid and crack density on the effective elastic properties of the cracked *** analysis results indicate that the dip angle and background anisotropy can significantly either enhance or weaken the anisotropy degrees of the P-and SH-wave velocities,whereas they have relatively small effects on the SV-wave velocity ***,the filling fluid can increase the stiffness coefficients related to the compressional modulus by reducing crack compliance parameters,while its effects on shear coefficients depend on the crack dip *** increasing crack density reduces velocities of the dry rock,and decreasing rates of the velocities are affected by the crack dip *** comparing with exact numerical results and experimental data,it was demonstrated that the proposed model can achieve high-precision estimations of stiffness ***,the assumption of the weakly anisotropic background results in the consistency between the proposed model and Hudson's published theory for the or
