Enhanced removal of organics by permanganate preoxidation using tannic acid as a model compound-Role of in situ formed manganese dioxide

The effect of permanganate preoxidation on organic matter removal during the coagulation with aluminum chloride was investigated using tannic acid as a model compound. Results showed that a small amount of KMnO4 （0.75 mg/L） increased the removal efficiency of tannic acid up to 20%, as compared to the process of coagulation by aluminum chloride alone. The key factor enhancing the removal efficiency of tannic acid in preoxidation process was the in situ formation of a reductant manganese dioxide. The complexation model was used to describe the reaction between MnO2 and tannic acid. Under weak pH condition, tannic acid was difficult to be adsorbed by MnO2 due to the static electrical repulsive forces. The presence of Ca2＋ served as a bridge to hold the negative charged MnO2 and tannic acid together, which could be a crucial factor influencing tannic acid adsorption by in-situ manganese dioxide.

The catalytic activity of ceria-supported Pd for selective hydrogenation of CO is well preserved in the presence of 30 ppm H2S due to the parallel oxidation of sulfur by CeO2 under standard methanol synthesis conditions. The bifunctional nature of this catalyst opens a route for the conversion of sulfur-contaminated gas streams such as the integrated gasification combined cycle syngas or biogas into liquid fuels if desulfurization by conventional means is not practical.

Since 1996, transgenic Bacillus thuringiensis(Bt) cotton has been commercially grown in numerous countries in an effort to stem the losses caused by key lepidopteran pests. However, the development of pest resistance to Bt toxins has jeopardized the continued utilization of Bt cotton. As a strategy designed to circumvent the development of resistance, Bt cotton varieties expressing two or more toxins targeting the same pest have been introduced. Nevertheless, from the perspective of long-term planting of Bt cotton, the potential risk of cross-resistance to these Bt toxins is a threat that cannot be ignored. In this paper, we review current research(including that based on the analysis of protein binding sites and resistance genes) on the resistance of cotton bollworm(Helicoverpa armigera) to the Bt toxins Cry1 Ac and Cry2 Ab and the interrelationship between these toxins. On the basis of existing evidence, we assume that the actions of Cry1 Ac and Cry2 Ab against cotton bollworm are not completely independent, and then propose the "resistance-associated gene mutation potential hypothesis". Although the mechanisms underlying the resistance of pests to Bt toxins are yet to be comprehensively elucidated, this hypothesis could undoubtedly have important implications for adopting "pyramid" strategy in the future. Further research is recommended to devise strategies to retard the development of H. armigera resistance to Bt cotton, either using different Bt toxins or their various combinations.

利用Leon2处理器核和具有丰富内部资源的FPGA芯片,为空间太阳望远镜(SST)图像压缩单元成功设计了高性能的基于纯硬件架构的(5,3)整数-整数二维小波变换模块。该模块对2048×1024×2B的太阳图像进行变换耗时约为0.2 s,比欧空局(ESA)的DSP软件方法提高了数十倍运算速度,不仅满足SST卫星在轨图像压缩的任务指标,而且在结构上也易于与其后的多种编码处理灵活衔接,同时还具有体积小、功耗低、容错性好、通用性强等特点,可以广泛应用于多种航天图像压缩领域。

Carbody Structural Lightweighting Based on Implicit Parameterized Model

Most of recent research on carbody lightweighting has focused on substitute material and new processing technologies rather than structures. However, new materials and processing techniques inevitably lead to higher costs. Also, material substitution and processing lightweighting have to be realized through body structural profiles and locations. In the huge conventional workload of lightweight optimization, model modifications involve heavy manual work, and it always leads to a large number of iteration calculations. As a new technique in carbody lightweighting, the implicit parameterization is used to optimize the carbody structure to improve the materials utilization rate in this paper. The implicit parameterized structural modeling enables the use of automatic modification and rapid multidisciplinary design optimization （MDO） in carbody structure, which is impossible in the traditional structure finite element method （FEM） without parameterization. The structural SFE parameterized model is built in accordance with the car structural FE model in concept development stage, and it is validated by some structural performance data. The validated SFE structural parameterized model can be used to generate rapidly and automatically FE model and evaluate different design variables group in the integrated MDO loop. The lightweighting result of body-in-white （BIW） after the optimization rounds reveals that the implicit parameterized model makes automatic MDO feasible and can significantly improve the computational efficiency of carbody structural lightweighting. This paper proposes the integrated method of implicit parameterized model and MDO, which has the obvious practical advantage and industrial significance in the carbody structural lightweighting design.

Quantum error correction technology is an important solution to solve the noise interference generated during the operation of quantum *** order to find the best syndrome of the stabilizer code in quantum error correction,we need to find a fast and close to the optimal threshold *** this work,we build a convolutional neural network(CNN)decoder to correct errors in the toric code based on the system research of machine *** analyze and optimize various conditions that affect CNN,and use the RestNet network architecture to reduce the running *** is shortened by 30%-40%,and we finally design an optimized algorithm for CNN *** this way,the threshold accuracy of the neural network decoder is made to reach 10.8%,which is closer to the optimal threshold of about 11%.The previous threshold of 8.9%-10.3%has been slightly improved,and there is no need to verify the basic noise.
