Functional Lactiplantibacillus plantarum P10 screened from Chinese traditional pickle showing application potential in steamed bread for in-situ bio-preservation and GABA-enrichment

Mold spoilage and nutrition enrichment are major concerns of Chinese steamed bread， and using functional lactic acid bacteria as starter to play the role of in-situ preservation and nutritional fortification was a promising alternative. Hence， Lactiplantibacillus plantarum P10 capable of inhibiting spoilage microorganisms and producing GABA (380 mg/L) was screened from Chinese pickle. Metabolomics analysis showed that P10 produced key antimicrobial metabolites mainly including ten organic acids， aldehyde， alkaloid. Besides， P10 might exhibit health beneficial effects such as degrading cholesterol， lowering blood glucose and reducing uric acid due to the production of deoxycholic acid and ile-Pro-ile， and the degradation of purine. Finally， the promising application potential of P10 was evidenced in steamed bread with extended shelf life， excellent anti-aging effect， and 24.5-fold enrichment of GABA. Conclusively， this investigation could provide scientific basis for the application of P10 as a functional starter in steamed bread.

Cu-based electrocatalysts can have excellent activity for the generation of C_(2+)products from a CO_(2)reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR).Cuδ+species is crucial in tuning the performance of the ***,we discovered that Si-doped Cu catalysts had excellent performance for electrochemical CO_(2)to C_(2+)products.A high Faradaic efficiency(FE)of 84.7%was achieved with a current density of 289ma cm^(−2)in the flow-cell *** situ experimental results showed that the significant reconstruction occurred during the electrolysis,resulting in the formation of the asymmetric Cu sites(Cu^(0)-Cu^(+)).The ratio of Cu^(0)and Cu^(+)could be tuned by changing Si *** experiments and theoretical calculations demonstrated that the asymmetric Cu sites caused by the appropriate Si doping promoted CO_(2)activation and strengthened the adsorption of^(*)CO *** was beneficial to the subsequent^(*)CO–^(*)CO dimerization step,and thus,accounted for the enhancement of C_(2+)selectivity.

magnetic reconnection of the self-generated magnetic fields in laser-plasma interaction is an important laboratory method for modeling high-energy density astronomical and astrophysical *** use the martin-Puplett interferometer(MPi)polarimeter to probe the peripheral magnetic fields generated in the common magnetic reconnection configuration,two separated coplanar plane targets,in laser-target *** introduce a new method that can obtain polarization information from the interference pattern instead of the sinusoidal function fitting of the intensity.A bidirectional magnetic field is observed from the side view,which is consistent with the magneto-hydro-dynamical(MHD)simulation results of self-generated magnetic field *** find that the cancellation of reverse magnetic fields after averaging and integration along the observing direction could reduce the magnetic field strength by one to two orders of *** indicates that imaging resolution can significantly affect the accuracy of measured magnetic field strength.

Grain size is one of the determinants of grain yield,and identifying the genetic loci that control grain size will be helpful for increasing grain *** our previous study,a quantitative trait locus(QTL)for grain length(GL),***-2D.1,was identified from an F2 population developed from the cross between the natural(TAA10)and synthetic(XX329)allohexaploid *** the present study,we mainly fine mapped and validated its genetic *** this end,multiple near-isogenic lines(NiLs)were obtained through marker-assisted selection with TAA10 as the recurrent *** secondary populations derived from 25 heterozygous recombinants were used for fine mapping of ***-2D.1,and the allele from XX329 significantly increased GL,thousand-grain weight(TGW),total spikelet number per spike(TSN)and spike compactness(SC).Using NiLs for XX329(2D+)and TAA10(2D−),we determined the genetic and pleiotropic effects of *** target sequences were aligned with the wheat reference genome RefSeq v2.1 and spanned an~0.9 Mb genomic ***2D03G0114900(ortholog of Os03g0594700)was predicted as the candidate gene based on whole-genome re-sequencing and expression *** summary,the map-based cloning of ***-2D.1 will be useful for improving grain weight with enhanced GL and TSN.

An electroencephalographic(EEG)signature of auditory hallucinations(AHs)is important for facilitating the diagnosis and treatment of AHs in *** recorded EEG from 25 schizophrenia patients with recurrent *** the period of AHs,EEG recordings exhibited significantly elevated beta2-band power in the temporal region,as compared to those recorded in the absence of AHs or during stimulation with verbal *** further generated methamphetamine-treated rhesus monkeys exhibiting psychosis-like behaviors,including repetitive sudden searching actions in the absence of external intrusion,suggesting the occurrence of *** EEG beta2-band power in the temporal region of these monkeys was enhanced immediately after methamphetamine treatment and positively correlated with the frequency of sudden searching ***,the enhancement of temporal beta2-band oscillations represents a signature for AHs in both patients and a monkey model of psychosis,and this monkey model can be used for developing closed-loop neuromodulation approaches for the treatment of refractory AHs in schizophrenia.
