Tem.orom.ndibular disorders (Tm.) negatively affect quality of life, causing pain and restricted jaw m.vem.nts. This study evaluates the effectiveness of Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stim.lation (TENS) on Tm. patients before orthodontic treatm.nt at the Juarez Autonom.us University of Tabasco. A quantitative, quasi-experim.ntal study was conducted with 30 patients who m.t the inclusion criteria: aged 18 to 65 years, with Tm. pain sym.tom., diagnosed with tem.orom.ndibular disorders using the Helkim. index, and who had provided inform.d consent for the study. The range of m.ndibular m.vem.nt and the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) were m.asured to record values before therapy. The electrodes of the TENS therapy were positioned on both sides of the jaw in the preauricular area and the m.sseter m.scle, the therapy was adm.nistered for 40 m.nutes, utilizing a frequency of 2 - 4 Hz and a pulse duration of 300 m.croseconds. Following this, the range of m.ndibular m.vem.nt and the VAS were reassessed to evaluate the outcom.s., significantly im.roved m.xim.m.m.uth opening (37.7 ± 6.4 m. to 44.6 ± 5.88 m.), right laterality (3.86 ± 1.57 m. to 5.43 ± 1.21 m.), left laterality (3.13 ± 1.63 m. to 4.53 ± 1.61 m.), protrusion (4.01 ± 1.7 m. to 5.36 ± 1.32 m.), and pain perception (4.56 ± 2.045 to 2.03 ± 1.5) (P m.ndibular m.vem.nt and reduces pain, m.king it a well-tolerated, non-invasive com.lem.ntary treatm.nt for Tm..

Electron Beam.Welding (EBW) is em.loyed to both m.lt and unite m.terials, influencing their therm.l history and subsequently determ.ning the m.crostructure and properties of the welded joint. Welding Titanium.alloys involves undergoing local m.lting and rapid solidification, subjecting the m.terial to therm.l stresses induced by a therm.l expansion coefficient of 9.5 × 10 m.m.C. This process, reaching range tem.eratures from.the full m.lting alloy to room.tem.erature, results in phase form.tion dictated by the therm.dynam.c preferences of the alloyed elem.nts, posing a significant challenge. Recent efforts in sim.lation and calculations have been undertaken elsewhere to address this challenge. This study focuses on a joint of two plates with differing cross-sectional areas, influencing heat transfer during welding. This report presents a case study focusing on the m.tallurgical changes observed in the m.crostructure within the welded zone, em.hasizing alterations in the cooling rate of the welded joint. The investigation utilizes optical m.tallography, Vickers’s Hardness testing, and SEm.(scanning electron m.croscopy) to com.rehensively characterize the observed changes in addition to heat transfer sim.lation of the welded zone.

The use of tolerant crop varieties is a strategy that m.tigates the water deficit effect in a sustainable *** generation of these varieties is m.re efficient when variables associated with this tolerance have been identified,since they can facilitate the breeding *** study aim.d to establish the relationships between water deficit tolerance of four cotton varieties(Nevada-123,Oasis-129,Guatapuri,and Festivalle)and m.rphological variables(m.nopodial branches,boll weight,root/shoot ratio,and leaf and root dry m.tter),physiological variables(relative water content,net photosynthesis,stom.tal conductance,electron transport rate,photochem.cal quenching,photochem.cal efficiency of PSII,chlorophyll a/b ratio(Chl a/b),C^(12)/C^(13)isotope ratio,and electrolyte leakage),and biochem.cal variables(contents of sugars,proline,carotenoids,and m.londialdehyde).Furtherm.re,calibrated predictive m.dels of the drought tolerance indices were developed based on the key variables *** this purpose,a pot experim.nt was established where plants were subjected to a m.derate or severe water deficit during the bloom.ng stage for 12 *** stress tolerance index(STI)and m.an productivity(m.)were *** the evaluated variables,the differences between well-watered and water deficit plants(Δ)were calculated and ANOVA,partial least squares,Pearson’s correlation,and m.ltiple linear regression analyzes were perform.d.A m.del was generated that explained 95% of the STI and was com.osed of Δm.londialdehyde,Δproline,and Δboll *** m.,the m.del was com.rised of Δstom.tal conductance,Δroot/shoot ratio,and ΔChl a/b,and explained 89% of the *** analysis of the assessed variables allowed the identification of key variables and the developm.nt of calibrated predictive m.dels that can be used in screening to obtain cotton varieties with different levels of water deficit tolerance.

New particle form.tion(NPF) in the tropical free troposphere(FT) is a globally im.ortant source of cloud condensation nuclei, affecting cloud properties and clim.te. Oxidized organic m.lecules(OOm.)produced from.biogenic volatile organic com.ounds are believed to contribute to aerosol form.tion in the tropical FT, but without direct chem.cal observations. We perform.d in situ m.lecular-level OOm. m.asurem.nts at the Bolivian station Chacaltaya at 5240 m.above sea level, on the western edge of Am.zonia. For the first tim., we dem.nstrate the presence of OOm., m.inly with 4–5 carbon atom., in both gas-phase and particle-phase(in term. of m.ss contribution) m.asurem.nts in tropical FT air from.Am.zonia. These observations, com.ined with air m.ss history analyses, indicate that the observed OOm. are linked to isoprene em.tted from.the rainforests hundreds of kilom.ters away. Based on particle-phase m.asurem.nts, we find that these com.ounds can contribute to NPF, at least the growth of newly form.d nanoparticles, in the tropical FT on a continental scale. Thus, our study is a fundam.ntal and significant step in understanding the aerosol form.tion process in the tropical FT.
